Most locals favorite time of year in Cultus Lake is the Fall, Winter and early Spring months. Why? Consider this place your own as Cultus Lake is wonderfully quiet, yet still stunningly beautiful. This is a perfect time to have a BBQ up at the quiet lake on a sunny day, a warm, roaring bonfire out back or a very peaceful, low traffic walk or hike. Hiking Teapot Trail in the snowy Winter is an experience of a lifetime. Cultus Lake in these months is a true escape from the day-to-day.
The Lake is the place to be in the Summer and provides that true Summer holiday feel. People from all over the world visit Cultus Lake in these months and are shocked at how much it has to offer. You don't even need to leave the Lake in the Summer as you will have plenty to do! From golfing and dining at the beautiful Cultus Lake Golf Course to thrill rides at the local amusement ride and water parks - this area has it all! BBQ's out back, campout's with friends, walking to the Lake and much more
The Arrival Experience:
Wind your way up in Cultus Lake through the only road in - Columbia Valley Hwy. En route in you'll pass many of the amusements you'll likely venture out to later - the Water Park, Amusement Park, Bistro and Golf Course. Once you've hit the town's center our home is only about 1km further. You'll pull up to the iconic Yellow house with a large parking area situated on a very quiet street. Close to everything but away from the noise. You'll enter the home through a keypad on the door and notice immediately a family living room to your right with TV and lounging couches. Continue onward to the kitchen, which looks out to the large and very private backyard. Feel comfort in knowing your children and dogs can play outside safely secured in, in a very safe neighborhood. In the summer, most guests spend their entire time outside whether it's at the BBQ and outdoor picnic tables or around the natural wood fire. We also provide propane and your first supply of wood! The yard is also perfect to pitch tents and experience a Canadian camp-out in! Back inside, we have a large dining table that comfortably sits 8 and a cozy fireplace to dine with. There is also another TV with cable in here so anyone in the kitchen won't miss that important game. Please don't forget to log in to our free WIFI as well. In the kitchen you will find all the amenities you'll need - spices, dishes, coffee and most importantly your welcome basket. The welcome basket includes FREE dinning vouchers to our local Golf Course as well as other special treats suited to your trip. Back out from the kitchen and across the way you will see a den with a futon. Please use this to your needs, there's bedding in the hall closet for sleeping there! Additionally, in the den we have a book exchange and some board games for entertainment. Continue down the hall and you will see the first main bathroom. We ensure everything is perfectly sterilized for your arrival. Continuing on if you venture left you will enter the laundry room and garage entry. Please use these amenities as well. There is laundry soap and such for your use. We also encourage guests to set up additional sleeping or storage in the garage if need be. Down the hall is the three bedrooms all with queen beds. The master at the very end also has an en suite plus TV! We have ample amount of towels and other supplies for your stay. If you require anything else we are also very quick at delivering!

Our family operates our rentals together so there is always someone available if needed. We'll be happy to fix any unforeseen issues immediately, answer questions or assist you with any excursions in the Greater Vancouver area. There are lots of activities surrounding Cultus Lake that draw crowds to the neighboring town of Chilliwack. Other hot spots just a short car drive away are:
-Mt. Cheam: 46.9km to Cheam base
One of the most spectacular hikes in the Fraser Valley, overlooks all of Chilliwack. Please know this is a trek that requires a 4x4 truck for driving up the mountain. Dog friendly.
-Elk Mountain Hike: 22.3km to Elk base
Stunning hike with spectacular views. No special car required and more populated of a hike. Dog Friendly.
-Mt. Ford: 32.2km to Ford base
Exceptionally quiet and serene hike. Prepare to be fully submersed into nature and finish with a spectacular view. Likely little to no traffic so please also pack bear spray and a hiking knife for safety. 4x4 vehicle required. Dog Friendly.
-Lindeman Lake: 44.7km to base.
Thrilling hike up rocky roads and deep in the woods. Prepare yourself for the ultimate treat at the top - a perfectly blue-ish green lake, suitable for swimming in come summer time. You won't see something this beautiful everyday. Good for hikers of all ages and skills. Regular car and dog friendly.
-Mt. Thom: 16.1km to Thom base
Well traveled hike that overseas much of the Valley from Promontory hill. Great for beginner hikers who prefer more populated areas.
-Vedder River: 8.2km
A great fishing spot or also blow up some tubes and tube down the river - this is truly an experience of a lifetime. You feel like you're on a ride as Disneyland. Please ask us for details on this if interested. Summer months only. Getting AroundEverything to do within Cultus Lake is in walking distance from the house, but there is paid parking available for cars all around the lake. There are also multiple boat launches and boat parking spots available around the lake. Please know in the Summer months traffic is exceptionally more busy and therefore guests may feel more comfortable driving to the lake at these times as there is a busy road to cross. The Lake is a happening and fun place in the Summer with lots of things to do. Consider the place your own in the Winter, Fall and early Spring months as Cultus is wonderfully quiet, yet still stunningly beautiful.
The closest car rental is in Chilliwack (about 15-20 minute drive out of Cultus).
Buses operate in and out of Cultus during the summer months.
Vancouver airport is 1.3 hour drive.
Abbotsford airport is 35 minute drive.
U.S. Sumas boarder is 30 minute drive. Other Things to Note-Fire ban notices will be posted in the home, this means the backyard fire pit will be unavailable during these times
