The Space An amazing retreat from your holiday to Vancouver, or a destination in itself, Gibsons is a 40 minute ferry ride from Horseshoe Bay. Home of the Beachcombers and the world's most liveable small town. You will stay 5 minutes from the ferry in a four story town home right on the water, with spectacular ocean views from each floor. You will care for our home while we are vacationing on our boat like it was your own and in return, you will have a well equipped kitchen, and the ocean as your backyard. Swim off our boat launch ramp or at the beach, a 2 minute walk away , walk the seawall, rent a Kayak or explore the magnificent beauty of the entire Sunshine Coast from Gibsons to Earls Cove from this perfect spot. There are restaurants, art galleries and shops to explore within a five minute walk. A great coffee shop is across the street. Washer/dryer, internet, and although there's cable TV,appleTV and netflix, the view out of the window means you probably will never turn them on. An extra two people can be accommodated on the comfy bed chesterfield in the ocean level room. Carport for parking. Happy to pick you up from the ferry if you are not using a car. Winter is also a great time to visit the Sunshine Coast as the mountain and ocean views are breathtaking in the sun. However, storm watching if the weather is bad is great with a roaring fire in the fireplace. We are pet friendly as our front yard beach is the perfect spot for fun dog romping! The NeighborhoodLower Gibsons, also called Gibsons Landing is filled with little shops, great coffee shops, restaurants and galleries just a five minute stroll from our townhouse. The worlds most liveable small town, with the world's best tasting drinking water (the town won an international competition). Getting AroundIt is easy to walk to restaurants and galleries but there is no large grocery store nearby. There are two small "convenience" stores though. It is about a 20 minute walk up a steep hill to the main shopping area. The bus stop is just across the street. Our home is a 5 minute drive from the Langdale ferry and a 25 minute drive to Sechelt. Other Things to NoteWe can provide a baby gate, playpen/cot, but it is important to note that this is a four story home and all the stairs may be a challenge with toddlers :)

Our property is a short 10 minute walk to one of the best beaches in Gibsons; Bonniebrook Beach and Ocean Beach Esplanade, a 5 minute drive to the Grocery store (and Starbucks), and a 8 minute drive to historic lower Gibsons. The SpaceKeats View Cottage is a 1930s-era two bedroom cottage close to a nice swimming beach and with some ocean view. It is the only home on its quarter-acre lot. Keats View Cottage features a small but lovely garden where something is always in bloom, wood floors, wood-burning fireplace, large, partially covered deck for all weather enjoyment, very well-equipped kitchen and renovated bathroom with claw foot tub/shower. New for 2016: high speed internet; TV with Netflix access for anyone bringing a mobile device that is Chromecast enabled; new high-end firm memory foam mattress in master bedroom for a great sleep! Fridge/freezer, electric stove, washer, dryer and dishwasher, plus a host of small appliances: blow dryer,blender, coffeemaker, crockpot, popcorn popper etc. Very family friendly with high speed wireless internet, Netflix, DVD player and movie library, TV, games, puzzles and books. Full patio set provided includes table, six chairs, sun umbrella, plus gas barbecue, hammock and solar shower in garden. Here are some of the great activities you can enjoy during your stay at Keats View Cottage: Walks Around Gibsons: The Heritage Walking Tour is a great way to discover some of the history of the town’s beginnings. Ask at the Visitor Info Centre in Pioneer Park for walking tour maps as well as the Purple Banner Tour guide, leading you to the studios of local artists who welcome visitors. Soames Hill offers a fantastic view of Gibsons, Keats Island, the Paisley Islands and Bowen Island. These trails can be accessed from Soames Rd, approximately 80 m. east of Keats View cottage. The Landing in Gibsons The harbour area known as the Landing is home to Molly’s Reach, famous as the setting for the popular CBC-TV series The Beachcombers. Stroll along the pier to the gazebo for great views. Just a few steps away, the seawalk skirts the harbour and winds around to the marina. On these waters you see a wide variety of craft, from fishboats to luxury yachts. Sign on with a charter to cast your line or learn to sail. Winegarden Waterfront Park, overlooking the harbour, is home to free outdoor summer concerts and nearby is weekly market for local produce and artisans. Sunshine Coast Museum & Archives The Sunshine Coast Museum & Archives presents the history of the Sunshine Coast and its inhabitants. Two floors of exhibits: Natural History Collections (fossils, butterflies, minerals), Pioneer Period Rooms, First Nations, Small Wooden Boats and Models, The Beachcombers, a photo collection, and more. Smuggler’s Cove Provincial Park makes a great day- trip destination. Located past Sechelt, an easy 1km trail leads to picnic grounds in a beautiful location. Skookumchuck Narrows Provincial Park, near Egmont is another great day trip. Be sure to time your trip with the tide table in order to see the tidal phenomenon. We are 1.5km from the ferry terminal and there is a bus stop 50m from our home! The SpaceBuilt as a summer cottage in the 1940's and then renovated recently. This home will delight you with its unique charm and modern upgrades. Pets allowed, but please not on the furniture :) Guest AccessA stunning view of Gibsons harbour and easy access to the many restaurants and stores in the village. Interaction with GuestsWilling to meet guests on arrival to provide information about the house and area. After that guests are on their own, although, of course, I am available if needed! The NeighborhoodFriendly village atmosphere and many great shops and restaurants. Especially fabulous in the summer with all the music and arts festivals in the area. Getting AroundProbably best to bring a vehicle, although there is bus service and taxis are available. Other Things to NoteTalk to me if you have a pet. I love animals but an extra charge of $50 will be added on to your rental.

The SpaceCat's Pyjamas is a brand new B&B that is nestled in the trees on the back portion of our acreage. It is a self contained suite with a queen size bed, full kitchen (dishes, cutterly, wine glasses, pottery mugs, pots &pans etc..are included), bathroom with claw foot bathtub and living room that looks out onto the spacious deck that oversee's the many lovely gardens. The suite has a gas fire place and a heat pump that provides heat or airconditioning. It also has a Flat Screen TV, Steroe, Cable, Internet, DVD and movies. The suite is beautiful decorated with Mexican furniture and pottery. The property also has a pool, hot tub, outdoor shower, Mexican themed outdoor kitchen/bar and gazebo with a couch for those lazy afternoons. (the outdoor space is shared with the owner) Cat's Pyjamas is located on the Sunshine Coast in Gibsons BC. We are about a 10 minute drive from where the Horseshoe Bay (Vancouver) ferry lands in Langdale. We are also in close walking distance to quaint shops, wonderful resturants, theatre and pubs. The area is great for hiking, biking, bird watching and site seeing. One of the Sunshine Coast's most popular beaches is about a 4 minute drive away as is the Gibsons Marina. We provide a continental breakfast that will be in your suite when you arrive. We require a two night minimum when booking. Pool/hot tub open in summer months only.

The SpaceWe are located at the trail head for the elphinstone heritage mountain trails. Stay at our place and head into the wilderness next door! We are a short drive of half hour to the famous Coast Gravity Mountain Bike park outside of our sister town Sechelt. Guest Accessfully equipped kitchenette, common room, free laundry, free wi-fi. Lots of spaces outside for relaxing. Our rooms are mostly down some stairs, about ten or so. If you have difficulty with stairs, keep that in mind. Interaction with GuestsWe can give information about our area, and most guests become life long friends with us. We will be on hand the whole stay as we live here too. The NeighborhoodQuiet at (URL HIDDEN) you can get a good nights sleep for the days work, or sight seeing. Getting AroundBus is about one km, to the village. Ten, fifteen minutes by car to ferry terminal. If you are on foot, there is a bus waiting at the ferry terminal. Take it and get off the IGA mall bus stop. Ask the driver. Walk up Payne Road along the mall, then across Reed Road, keep going to a bend to right. Follow this about hundred or so feet and then left is Keith Road. Follow this up to end of pavement, we will be the green and white house on right hand side... If you are in a vehicle, follow traffic up the highway like road with rest of vehicles, to top of hill. Turn left with flow, about half mile to intersection, turn right. Then follow "North Road" for about a mile or so, turn right on Cemetery Road. Keep going about a mile to Keith Road, turn right, and then to end of pavement. If we have a vehicle available at the time, pickup from the ferry terminal is possible, for a small extra charge, five dollars. Call or write ahead. Other Things to NoteIf you are traveling by ferry, from Vancouver or Powell River..call ahead to terminal for conditions, and give lots of time for ferry line up. The ferries are often full during holiday weekends especially.

The NeighborhoodThe waterfront location is absolutely priceless. Watch the sunrise over the mountains in the distance, play on the beach during the day and sit outside on the patio at night to watch the stars and see the moon come up. Getting AroundThere is lots of room for parking and a bus stop close by to take you into town. We are a ten minute walk from the BC ferry terminal so it's possible to come without a car. From the airport without a car, you can take the Skytrain to Vancouver City Centre, then take the Blue Bus to Horseshoe Bay. At Horseshoe Bay you take the Langdale Ferry (~35min). Once you land it's a 10-15 min walk to the cottage. From the airport by car, take highway 99 through downtown Vancouver, following the signs for Highway 1A through Stanley Park and over the Lions Gate Bridge. Over the bridge, follow the signs for West Vancouver. Stay right and take a right onto Taylor Way. Turn left on to the Trans Canada highway and follow sign for the Horseshoe Bay Ferry terminal. Take the Langdale Ferry. The cottage is a three minute drive off the ferry. Other Things to NoteDeposit:50%, at time of reservation. Balance upon arrival.

The SpaceFabulous view - this main floor of a home is situated in the idyllic community of historic Gibsons, BC on the Sunshine Coast. Less than a 10 minute drive from the ferry dock, this location is both peaceful and beautiful. This main suite in the home is entirely private - the deck is all yours! It's got everything you need for a comfortable stay. The house is located centrally, with great access to historic Gibsons Landing in addition to being close to "upper Gibsons" with all its services. This location is suitable for either short or long stays. It is an ideal location for both business and vacation travellers. Waters West offers a master bedroom with a queen sized bed, two reading lamps, and beautiful, fresh linens - the second bedroom has a day bed which easily transforms into a king sized bed. Hardwood floors throughout. In the living room, there is a sofa bed that comfortably sleeps 2 additional people. The bathroom is lovely and has been recently renovated. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare your meals and picnics during your stay. The huge deck overlooks Howe Sound, Keats and Bowen Island. The SpaceThe cottage is beautifully renovated and appointed with new beds and linens, it can comfortably accommodate up to 6 guests with 2 bedrooms on main floor. Bedroom 1 has a queen bed, bedroom 2 beside has bunk beds, double on the bottom and single on the top. Bedroom 3 is a 1 one bedroom with queen bed and walk in closet. Adjacent to bedroom is spa like bathroom. The downstairs TV room has a pullout double sofa bed with a 2 inch memory foam mattress. There are many recent upgrades to property including new gourmet kitchen with gas range and stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. The kitchen and living room is open concept post and beam with fir and cedar accents. French doors open on to the 600 sq ft deck perfect for early morning coffee, dining and entertaining. The back yard is gently sloped and fenced and also wonderful for relaxing. There are 2 smart TV's with Telus Optik satellite, a mini stereo and DVDs player with tons of music and movies to choose from. Guest AccessGuests have access to whole house and gardens and parking for 2 - 4 vehicles. Interaction with GuestsWe are always available if you need anything we'd be more than happy to help. We can also provide an additional cleaning service for you if you require during your stay for an additional fee. The NeighborhoodCedar view cottage is located in Lower Gibsons and is 1 block to the famous Molly's Reach. Take a stroll for ice cream after dinner on a hot summers night or a dip in the Ocean at Armours Beach to cool off. Make sure you check out one of the many awesome restaurants in Lower Gibsons. They really all are great but our favourite is Sweet Water Bistro :>). Do not miss Black Bean or Waterfront in Lower G for breakfast and coffee, or Wheat berries fresh baked awesomeness! Cozy up by the gas fireplace on a rainy afternoon or relax on the deck in the sun. You have it all here... Getting AroundA 5 minute drive from Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal. We are also located on bus route ( 1 block walk up BIG hill ). There is no car rental on the Sunshine Coast so you'll want to make sure you get one on The Lower Mainland. Otherwise we do have taxi services available. Please check out our guidebook for all of our favorite spots. Beaches are best to get to by car. Other Things to NoteFamily friendly, free wi fi, Telus Optic Smart TV. Garbage and recycling bins inside downstairs by back door. Garbage put outside WILL attract bears! Garbage day is Wednesday and it is curb side if you are staying over a Wednesday or for a longer period of time. We will take care of recycling but if its piling up you can put it in garage through back door and we will collect after check out. Heat is either gas fireplace upstairs, remote on mantle, or gas furnace control is in kitchen to right of stove. It makes a bit of noise when it comes on but that is normal for it to do that. Lights are on master control panel in kitchen to left of fridge. It controls all kitchen and island lighting PLUS deck lights and you can use the up down buttons to dim light. Coffee maker is a 12 cup maker and filters are in cupboard. There is a grinder beside it if you have beans.

    This forest retreat away from the bustle of the city is almost entirely surrounded by trees. Ten minute drive from the Langdale Ferry is a wonderful home base for exploring the coast, or just staying warm and cozy by the fireplace. The house is a spacious 4 bedroom chalet style home with huge wrap-around sundecks overlooking our private yard, gardens and forest wilderness ravine.         Keats View Cottage is a 2 bedroom 1930’s-era cottage with partial ocean-view located 2 kilometers from the charming village of Gibsons Landing on the beautiful Sunshine Coast, and 75 minutes from the heart of Vancouver via public transit. NEW in 2016: High Speed WiFi and Netflix; new, firm, high end memory foam mattress (queen) in master bedroom; Located on a quarter acre with a lovely garden in front and a wilderness suitable for kids 8 and older in back plus two off-road parking spots, the cottage offers a quiet and comfortable retreat for couples or families. Well equipped kitchen complimented with many extras - washer/ dryer, dishwasher, airtight wood-burning fireplace and more! The bathroom is recently renovated and features a clawfoot tub and shower. A large deck is partially covered for all-weather enjoyment. Deck furniture, including a sun umbrella is provided. The garden has a comfortable hammock and a solar shower (summer months only) for rinsing off after a swim at the beach. Soames beach and the hiking trails of Soames Hill are both located less than 200m ( an easy three minute walk) away. Soames beach offers swimming, beachcombing, a place for evening bonfires or a pleasant stroll into Gibsons Landing. Gibsons Landing is where the ‘Beachcombers’ TV series was filmed and Nick Adonidas’ boat, the Persephone is on display in the centre of town. Boutiques and galleries, a museum and a variety of restaurants are waiting to be explored. Grocery stores and other services are located in the upper town at a distance of approximately 4 km. There is a bus stop 40 m from the cottage, and service is approximately every half hour into both Gibsons Landing and the upper town. The Super Valu is in a mall on the bus route that also has a liquor store, London Drugs, book store, Starbucks and other merchants. The bus also goes to the ferry terminal at Langdale (2 km in the opposite direction) where you can walk on to the ferry (40 min passage- service every two hours to West Vancouver)to connect with frequent Fastbus connections into the heart of downtown Vancouver in 30 minutes. For a non-driver, Keats View Cottage is fairly ideally located since the one bus will take you nearly anywhere you'd care to go, including to the small neighbouring community of Roberts Creek (a famous fresh/whole foods cafe) and the bigger town of Sechelt which is 22 km away.

The NeighborhoodThe Sunshine Coast, although part of mainland BC, is a beautiful area that has a bit of laid-back island-esque charm. With a view of the sound, our vacation rental is located in a unique place between upper and lower Gibsons on the Sunshine Coast. In either direction, we are within walking distance of many of the shops, restaurants and pubs that give this small fishing village it's local character. Well, as long as you don't mind a little hike! From the famous Molly's Reach restaurant from 'The Beachcomber' TV series to the tasty treats of More Cafe in Lower Gibsons, the best of the Coast is only a few minutes away. In Upper Gibsons, there are grocery stores, thrift shops, a single-showing movie house and even a curling rink -- all just a short walk or a few minutes drive away. In addition to walking, Gibsons offers the outdoor enthusiast their choice of adventure during the summer. From kayaking to sailboating to SUPs, hitting the water is easy with the marina a short distance away. If you are into shopping and looking for that special unique item, Gibsons has several stores to strike your fancy, including Blackberries and Whimsy in Lower Gibsons, Embellish in Upper Gibsons and the Mosiac Market in Davis Bay (a short and worthwhile jaunt up the coast). The Sunshine Coast is known for it's art and hosts an Art Crawl (October). The region has the most artist per capita out of Canada. The 'Purple Banner Route' (Summer) allows visitors to drop in and see jewelers, potters, painters and photographers in their studio. Plus, there are a number of galleries located in lower Gibsons, plus the museum. There are an assortment of pubs and restaurants for your dining pleasure, including the Persephone Brewing Company on North Road and Blackfish pub in upper Gibsons. During the summer, Lower Gibsons comes alive with music on the weekends, a Sunday farmer's market and a Friday public market. There are festivals such as the Sea Cavalcade (late July) and the painting of the mandala in Robert's Creek. The true beauty of the area comes from the laid back, comfortable nature of the region. The people you pass on the street will say hello and everyone is charming. It's a place to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of the city and reconnect with yourself.         The SpaceWe have a 2-acre treed lot with our house at the back and the B&B cottage about halfway down. It has its own deck, garden, and fire-pit, all on the opposite side from the main house so quite private. It is a 1-bedroom cottage with a hide-a-bed in the main room if needed for two extra people. Both beds are queen-size and there is also room for a travel-crib. Guest AccessThere will be breakfast supplies in the fridge and cupboards, including great fair trade coffee, fruit, breads, preserves, and fresh eggs from our own chickens, as well as pots and pans, utensils and plates, etc. for whatever you need to make whatever you want. Celiac and other special diets can be catered to as requested. Outside, there is plenty of parking included; a covered spot plus some extra spaces if needed. There is a shed to lock up bikes and a hose for washing them after a good ride. Your bed is a very comfortable single bed in a small "nook", adjacent to the kitchen and full bathroom. There is a large curtain separating "your space" from the rest of the place. The bathroom has a deep-soaker tub as well as a multi-stream shower. The well-appointed living room has a gas fireplace and 55 inch flat screen. 50mbps WiFi. You may use all the facilities, including the washer/dryer. There is also an outside shower; if you would like to have a refreshing swim in the (reasonably warm) ocean. There's a computer speaker system for you to plug your phone/tablet into for your music. I am a Professional Photographer and 30+ year musician (guitar/vocals). My place is located (literally) a stones-throw away from the heart of lower Gibsons and the public marina. There is a walking trail right outside the front door. There's plenty of hiking, mountain biking, fishing, swimming and other recreational activities, all within close proximity to my place. There's even a super cool Beer Farm, Persephone, just up the road from my house. Well worth a visit! Getting AroundThere is a ferry (boat) from Horseshoe Bay to Langdale (Approximately $16 for the return passenger walk-on fare). There is direct bus service from the ferry to right outside the front door ($2 to anywhere on the Coast). Alternatively, you may wish to fly with Harbour Air from either YVR south terminal, located in Richmond on the Fraser River adjacent to the South Terminal of the Vancouver International Airport/YVR or the seaplane base, located in the Vancouver Harbour Flight Centre, below the Cactus Club restaurant. The cost for a one-way flight is between $103 - $120. I may be able to pick you up at the Sechelt base for a $20 fee. Other Things to Note* For your added security, there is a security camera directly overseeing my office space in the front room. Options: - I may be able to pick you up and drop you off at the ferry (free). - Upgrade ($50/night) to have the use of my luxury queen-size bed in the adjoining bedroom (lockable door). This spacious, open-plan cottage reveals ocean views from a string of picture windows and from a deck that spans the length of the house. On the deck you can fire up the barbecue, watch boats sail by, or get out the binoculars to view seals, ducks, and eagles. A hillside stairway takes you to a sand and pebble beach. The accommodations include two bedrooms One has a double bed and the other contains a double-single bunk-bed. There are two bathrooms (one an ensuite), a media room (actually a third bedroom) with a 50-inch TV, a large living room with a gas fireplace, a dining area that seats six, and a gourmet kitchen with a ceramic cook-top stove. A laundry room is available in the basement. Cable TV and internet are included. Ocean Cove Cottage is just a five-minute drive from the charming seaside town of Gibsons on the Sunshine Coast. Festivals take place on the coast almost every weekend in the summer. Have breakfast at the famous TV Beachcombers' location, Molly's Reach; stroll the pier at Gibson's Landing, visit spectacular Gospel rock, hike the trails at Soames Point, bask on the beach at Hopkins Landing, Bonnybrook, or on your own private stretch of sand at Smith's Cove. But if you have a disability and want to go to the beach frequently, this may be a problem. The driveway goes right to the side door of the cottage, so it's easy to get things in and out.

          The SpaceThe interior of the cottage has an open plan with vaulted ceilings, along with an air tight wood burning stove. It also contains a gas stove/oven and stainless steel appliances. The beds and furniture are very comfortable and with the wood stove burning bright, it becomes a very cozy cottage for the entire family and friends (please note that firewood can be found at the back of the cottage outside under the kitchen window). We opted to maintain a minimal feel to the space, keeping it less cluttered and simple so guests can navigate easily while they unload any accumulated 'clutter' they may have brought with them. Even though the cottage was built only six years ago, it's important to know that there are a few very minor bumps and bruises, particularly on the floor where there are a few minor scuffs in random places. Overall however, it's in pretty darn good shape (w/ the exception of a handful of minor floor scuffs) and all of our guests have enjoyed the space and the natural surroundings thoroughly. Guest AccessGuests will have access to the top floor of the cottage (single floor), the large deck, and the long esplanade and Bonnie Brook beach which is right outside the front door. The cottage is set up for wheelchair access and is equipped with grab bars in the shower. A caretaker lives in the ground floor suite during the fall and winter months and is very kind and pleasant. She also has a dog that is quiet and also very friendly. Interaction with GuestsThe owner or property manager of the cottage will be available by cell phone or in person in case assistance is needed or an emergency arises. The NeighborhoodThe neighborhood is simply fabulous. It's quiet enough to sooth your busy city minds and busy enough with random people walking the esplanade to keep you from feeling completely isolated. Enjoy the stars under the night sky or roll into nearby Gibsons (7 min drive) for some tasty cuisine at one of a handful of great restaurants. And of course the beach... Bonnie Brooke is considered by many to be THE MOST beautiful beach on the entire Sunshine Coast. My favorite restaurant located in Gibsons is Smitty's where you can enjoy a nice ambiance while sipping good wine and eating oysters from various parts of Canada. They have many other options on the menu. Next-door is a fabulous tapas resto that is new to Gibsons, also a great place to enjoy dinner. (website hidden) My favorite place to dine and see live music is in Robert's Creek (15 min drive away) at the Gumboot Cafe or Gumboot Restaurant as they are next door to each other. (website hidden) check online for current events. For the best fish and chips in BC, pick up lunch from Sharkey's in Robert's Creek and drive down to the ocean and find a picnic table to eat on. It's delicious. (website hidden) Getting AroundA city bus departs from the ferry and can drop guests off at the corner of Pratt and Highway 1 (at the IGA). From there, it is approximately a 25-35 min walk to the cottage, depending on your speed. Taxis from the ferry are available. Approximately a 15$ - 20$ cab ride. Please research your options before coming. Other Things to NotePlease stay clear of the tractor and other vehicles on the property as well as the area underneath the deck. You will have access to the kitchen. This is a great neighbourhood and a perfect place for a single traveller to chill out. We are next to Soames Hill, a few blocks away from Hopkins Beach (a sandy beautiful beach) and a short bike or car ride from the town. There is a BBQ for your use. You are welcome to borrow a bicycle if you want to go for a ride. If we are available, we are happy to pick you up at the ferry and drop you off too. If we are not available, the bus picks up on the street and will take you to the town of Gibsons (10 min bus ride or the ferry terminal (5 min bus). You are going to love it here!
