The SpaceThe room has two queen sized beds. One is a day bed. It can be pulled out into a queen with two separate single mattresses. You loose some floor space once the bed is pulled out and there's only a narrow gap left between the two beds. This might seem kind of obvious, but I've experienced that not everybody considers this. The suite is suitable for up to 4 and spacious (in my opinion) for up to 3 people, it's roughly 220 sf total. The floor is tiled, with a couple of rugs. Kids under the age of 16 stay for free with at least one paying adult. A cot for infants can be provided. The house is located in a residential neighbourhood between the down town and the beach at Lakeside Park. It's an around 15-20 minute walk either way, through a residential neighbourhood. We might be able to pick you up from the Greyhound bus stop or Castlegar airport for a small fee. We added a micro kitchen for your convenience. It is tiny with a counter top induction cook top, a toaster oven and microwave. There is also a k'cup coffee maker, kettle, toaster, crock pot and so on. The fridge is located a step away from your door in a storage area, so you won't have to listen to it's compressor during the night. It can be moved inside the room for people who prefer that and stay longer than a night. So you're good for some light cooking, for more elaborate meals you'd have to use our kitchen in the main house, please inquire. There is a possibility to rent a bike or our 4 person canoe. If you need anything else (like kids toys, an ironing board, beach towels, anything along those lines) please ask. Nelson is a beautiful town, we'd like you to enjoy your stay. Guest AccessThe space we're providing is self contained. However we don't limit guest access to the room. We provide storage in our basement and open up our house to people who have the time, interest and flexibility to join in. Interaction with GuestsUp to you really, but I guess it would also depend on our schedule and how busy life is at the time. Getting AroundWe have street parking only, but it's a quiet cull-de-sac and there's always space available. The bus stop for the city bus is just around the corner on Cottonwood St. It's maybe 100 meters from the house.

The SpaceThis house is 2400 square feet. In the 1990's a locally renowned architect turned a tiny farm house into the beauty it is today. It sits on a double lot perched high enough above town to benefit from stunning views, but close enough to walk to town. The SpaceThis house is available for three weeks only Feb 20th to March 15th. We are away for medical treatment in the States. The house will be clean and most of our stuff will be stashed in the basement. It is a very low price in order to cover our usual costs. There are fir floors throughout and we have created a beautiful space with tasteful decor. The house is open plan and has lots of comfy sofas. We have great beds, one queen and one double. A recent renovation makes this house well insulated and quiet while being minutes from downtown. Walk to Oso Negro for locally roasted coffee or take in a yoga class. The house is beautiful, has great energy and feels like home because it is our home. Great shower/tub with good water pressure - that is always a selling point for me. Air forced heat, electric oven, small convection oven, vita-mix, food processor and slow press juicer.
