Ian is the main cook who serves up a tasty stuffed breakfast croissant, along with fresh fruit and coffee. I am in charge of the all natural protein packed smoothies. We also provide dinners for an additional fee, with food choices such as, Ian's awesome Butter Chicken, BBQ Ribs, Grilled Rib Eye and his speciality Spinach strawberry salad. We have a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom single open floor plan unit which has amazing views onto the lake. (If you look closely you may even spot the legendary sea serpent "Ogopogo" :-)

    Poolside Retreat, Peachland, BC is located in a quiet area, surrounded by farmland, yet is within minutes of the beach and downtown Peachland, with its 11km of beachfront lined with shops and restaurants. The Parrot Sanctuary and Wineries are only a short stroll away, plus there are beautiful hiking paths nearby. PLEASE NOTE OUR UP TO DATE CALENDAR FOR BOTH UNITS IS ON OUR WEBSITE WWWPOOLSIDE RETREAT.COM and we only rent the Carriage House Saturday to Saturday during High Season. We have two accommodations to offer, The Carriage House, set in its own private garden and our delightful Poolside Suite. Both are just steps away from our lovely heated salt water pool, open throughout the summer. It is an ideal location for families as we have an outdoor lawned area with badminton net set up, with lots of room for them to play, we supply toys for children and there is also a children's playground nearby. Our charming CARRIGE HOUSE, is 980 square feet, has 2 bedrooms, is set in its own private garden, has full kitchen with dishwasher and laundry and is on the left hand side of the picture of the entrance to Poolside Retreat. It has its own private garden with two patios, one overlooking the outside games area and the other with barbeque, secluded outside dining area and path leading to the pool. From July it is bookable Saturday to Saturday from C$850.00 per week to C$1600.00 per week. During other times of the year we accept bookings for a minimum of 3 nights from C$150.00 per night Our POOLSIDE SUITE is within the main house, shown in the foreground of the picture of the entrance to Poolside Retreat. It has private entrance,  2 comfy bedrooms,  lounge area that  is conveniently  next to the bedrooms with sofa bed, plus media room with plasma screen tv, pool table and kitchenette with  breakfast bar, microwave, fridge and crockery.  It also has a  private entrance and patio with barbecue  and path leading up to the pool.  The Suite is from C$90..00 to C$180.00 per night depending on number of occupants and time of year. We also offer a continental breakfast, as an extra, if requested. Peachland itself is ideally located in the center of the Okanagan Valley which makes it an ideal base to explore the whole area and visit its many festivals, events and ski resorts. However you may not want to leave Peachland is the only place in the Okanagan which has 11km of waterfront front lined with shops, restaurants and a delightful walkway, with flower boarder. Sunbathe or take a stroll along Beach Avenue in the warmth of the Okanagan sunshine; have a drink or meal at one of the many restaurants along the Beach and enjoy the music of one of our talented musicians who perform regularly in many of the restaurants. Then return to the Poolside Retreat and enjoy peace and tranquility on your own private patio or take a dip in wonderful saltwater pool. Peachland is located in the centre of the Okanagan which is ideal to visit the many wineries from Vernon to Osoyoos and also the many festivals held, including the Elvis Festival in Penticton and Parks Alive, held throughout the summer weeks in Kelowna. In addition Peachland is famous for its Canada Day Parade in July and World of Wheels, where hundreds of classic cars converge on Peachland, in May. The unspoiled downtown area of Peachland, is quite unique to the area as it is set on the lake and has many restaurants and shops, together with llkm of beach. In addition to this we now boast the highest zip line in the whole of North America, plus ATV Tours and Kayaking so it makes it an ideal destination for those wanting a bit of adventure too. Poolside Retreat is also an ideal winter vacation for those who want to explore the Okanagan Ski Resorts. We are just 15mins away from Crystal Mountain Ski Resort which has downhill and Nordic skiing, plus snowshoeing for just C$10.00 including snow shoes.(Prices 2010). There is also Apex Ski Resort where you can watch the National Freestyle skiers train from the comfort of a nearby cafe, which is just under an hours drive and also Big White and Silverstar ski resorts which are just over an hours leisurely drive away. With numerous shops and restaurants along beautiful Beach Avenue, you won't find a prettier and friendlier town. Your suite is just across the highway from Lake Okanagan and is only about a mile to Beach Avenue and all it has to offer. It includes a queen bed, sofa bed, full bathroom, mini kitchenette, BBQ, cable TV, and wireless internet as well as complimentary coffee and tea. For those of you who have trouble with stairs, please be advised that the suites are accessed via stairs. The suite has a fully equipped kitchen, BBQ, laundry set, 1 queen size bed , 1 sofa bed & a bathroom with a deep soaker tub for you to relax in. Indoor space of 1,000 sq ft can comfortably accommodate up to 4 guest. The NeighborhoodWe are 15 mins walk from downtown Peachland where the playground & farmer's market are located. Farmer's Market is on every Sat from May to Sept. All restaurants in Peachland serve excellent food. Within 30 mins radius, you can find over 100 wineries, golf courses, fruit picking & not to talk about all kinds of water sports & zip lining at your finger tips. We are very close to wildlife. At times, you will see a family of deer in the backyard or bears or bluejays. Please respect one another & do not leave food or garbage outdoor overnight. Getting AroundYou will need a car to explore the Okanagan area. Other Things to NoteWe have been renting out our vacation home to the public since 2008 & is new to Airbnb. A lot of our guest do not want to leave on their last days & either return every year or became our neighbour :) If you become our return guest, be sure to ask for loyalty discount.

Although most guests don't find it at all bothersome in the rooms, you will hear the traffic noise on the patio. We ask guests to be respectful of those staying in other suites. We offer an "adult only oriented" 1100 sq. ft. self contained bottom suite with modern décor and 8 ft. ceilings. Peachland is located between Kelowna and Penticton which are world renowned for their vineyards. Or if you want to just hang out on the beach, it's only minutes away. Peachland also has boat rentals to make your adventure a little more intriguing. There's no end to the activities in our little town. Thinking of just staying around the house?     The SpaceExperience the rural beauty of Ravens View Farm while visiting the glorious Okanagan Valley and its renowned vineyards. Stay in the gorgeous Cottage, perched atop Ravens View Farm in a natural setting of orchards, herb and vegetable gardens, and a lavender labyrinth with a "million dollar view" of Okanagan Lake and amazing starry nights. Perfect for weddings, honeymoons or just a personal retreat. The farm is located at the end of a long dirt lane. The Cottage is a separate building with its own entrance right off the drive. It is a large spacious studio (according to our guests, larger than it appears in the photos) with a balcony. There is a refrigerator, toaster oven, microwave and tea and coffee service. There are plenty of pots and pans and cutlery so you can easily self-cater. There is an air conditioner and a gas grill on the balcony. The separate bathroom has a shower. The walls are adorned with agricultural lithographs from The Rucker Archive. Ravens View Farm is located above the lovely little town of Peachland in the heart of the Okanagan Valley. Walk through the orchard past the vegetable garden to overlook Deep Creek and enjoy the sites and sounds of a waterfall spilling down to Okanagan Lake. Watch Clarence our rare Canadian Chanticleer rooster and his hens or the honeybees pollinate flowers while enjoying a bottle of your favourite local wine and artisan cheeses on your private deck. There are a number of good restaurants in Peachland just seven minutes away and we are 15-20 minutes from the finest wineries in the Okanagan. We can suggest a personal wine tours and tour companies that do the driving for you. The local Kelowna bus system has a stop on Princeton Road a short walk from the farm. The NeighborhoodAlthough we are secluded, the Farm is only 7 minutes from Peachland, You are invited to visit Peachland and experience what a special place it is. What I love most about our small town is that it is the only town on the Lake that retained its beach front. You can walk the length of the town on the Heritage Walk along Beach Avenue. This gives you a chance to stop for a coffee, choose a restaurant for lunch or dinner, which includes the famous Gasthaus or visit and our great little hardware store, Peachland Gallery in the Old Schoolhouse or one of the boutiques. Getting AroundJust down the lane is access to our regional transit buses that will take you into Kelowna. If you plan to go wine tasting there are a number of tour operators available.     The SpaceThe Carriage House is spacious and comfortably sleeps 6 people. 1st Bedroom has queen bed with patio door leading to patio and walk-in wardrobe, 2nd bedroom has double lower bed and single upper bed and there is a double futon with sprung mattress with enough space to be left made up. We have two patios, one overlooking the outside games area with badminton net set up and second with barbecue, and path leading to the pool area is secluded and set in beautiful landscaped surroundings. The pool is salt water, has a diving board, is open from June to mid September and is shared with our other unit the Poolside Suite. Please note that if the Poolside Suite is vacant, then we do not accept bookings of one night only in the Carriage House. THINGS TO DO - We are in a quiet area, adjacent to farmland, great for hiking and cycling, yet minutes from downtown Peachland. Peachland is unique to the Okanagan as it is the only place where there is 11km of uninterrupted beachfront lined with shops and restaurants, plus there is bike and paddle board hire. For adventure lovers, within 15mins there is ATV hire where you can explore our many backwater lakes and we also boast the highest zipline in North America, plus of course fishing and many hiking trails. We are also home to the Ogopogo and we always recommend to our guests to hire a boat and explore the many beaches only accessible by boat and spot his cave. Or you can bring your own boat, we have plenty of room to park it, or better still hire a dock for the week. This is in ideal location to explore all that the Okanagan has to offer being between Kelowna and Penticton and of course the many fantastic wineries this area has to offer. WINTER: It is great to explore the 4 ski resorts from 15mins to 1.5 hours glorious ride away. Just 15mins from snow shoeing and cross country skiing. Apex Mtn, just 50 mins drive away, plus Big White and Silverstar just over an hour. The Carriage House offers also offers all the thrill of staying in a winter cabin, but with all the comforts of home and the convenience of being just minutes from beautiful downtown Peachland. We are on hand to advice on the best place to go or for any other questions you may have. The best thing about where we live is, that we are adjacent to Farmland, so very quiet, yet only minutes to downtown Peachand, with everything it has to offer yet also near ski resorts and between Penticton and Kelowna. The best way to get around is by car and will need winter tyres from 1st October to 1st April Snow shoeing at Crystal Mtn is only C$10.00 for lift pass and nominal fee for hire of snow shoes.     The SpaceThis fully furnished lakefront cabin enjoys 180 degree views of beautiful Lake Okanagan. You are steps from the secluded beach and roped off swimming area. The cabin has two small bedrooms, a kitchen, full bath, living room and dining room. Everything is cozy, but can sleep up to six. This is definitely not a fancy cabin. It's simple and has all the basics; a great place to relax. The master bedroom has a queen sized bed, closet, and window AC unit. The second bedroom is very small with four twin size bunk beds. Bedding, toiletries, dishes and cookingware are all provided. Our onsite staff provides fresh towels and sheets throughout the week, and keeps the large property looking beautiful. Seclusion Bay is laid back and family oriented. You will find other families lounging in beach chairs, hosting BBQ dinners, and enjoying swimming and boating on the lake. Just let them know if you need anything. The NeighborhoodSeclusion Bay is a unique property located in its own charming bay on Lake Okanagan, nestled between Peachland and West Kelowna. We feature 15 lakefront cottages and 13 lakefront condos on 14 wooded acres, stretched along a nice beach and waterfront. Only a four-hour drive from Vancouver, a 25-minute drive from Kelowna, and a 5-minute drive to charming Peachland or West Kelowna, we’re immersed in nature yet close to all the activities and fun that the Okanagan has to offer. It’s a great spot for family vacations, group gatherings, weddings, golf tours, wine tours, romantic getaways, etc. Getting AroundYou can get around by boat or car. There is grocery shopping in west Kelowna, which is a five to ten minute drive from the cabin. Mission Hill is a well known winery ten minutes from the cabin. A great place to go wine tasting and dining. One of our family's favorite spots is Bliss cafe in Peachland. You can drive or boat there in 5 minutes. There are plenty of great vacationey things to do in the area. Hiking, running, biking, go-karts, swimming, boating, tubing down the river. Let us know if you have any questions about the places to explore in the surrounding area. Although we tend to stay put most days as it's a beautiful place to relax and enjoy the lake. Other Things to NoteYou can either drive in to the resort or boat in from Kelowna or Peachland. There will be a staff member to give you the keys to the cabin and answer any questions throughout your stay. There is phone service at the cabin. We also have wifi throughout the property, but it is spotty at times. It's sometimes nice to be forced off the internet when on vacation, but can be frustrating if you have something urgent. But rest assured, there are cafes within 5 minutes that have reliable internet if ours is giving you trouble. Our favorite is Bliss cafe, just a few miles south off the highway.

    The SpaceThe view from all the rooms and deck are spectacular! Morning coffees, that last all day,gazing at Okangan Lake and Park. Inside is bright and open with vaulted ceilings in the living area and separate bedrooms at either end. Need more than a beautiful covered deck, a putting green and fire pit are waiting your enterainment. In addition, the location is central and easy access to the entire Okanagan Valley. Lake, beaches, wineries and tours, festivals, concerts, boat races, fine dining, ski hills, bike terrains, zip lining, ATV tours and more are just the beginning of what our community has year round for people of all ages. Three world class ski hills within 2.5 hours drive during the winter and Okangan Lake to enjoy during the summer. And don't miss the wine festival and all the ripe fruit you can pick.     The SpaceThe Poolside Suite is very spacious, has its own private entrance, patio and terrace leading to pool area. We have a seasonal heated salt water pool, and lawned area with badminton/volleyball net, both shared with just one other unit, the Carriage House also listed on this site. It has two bedrooms, study/lounge area with comfortable futon, plus a media room with pool table, TV and kitchenette with microwave, breakfast bar, fridge, toaster oven and freezer, crockery, coffee maker and kettle. We have a barbecue with side burner on the private patio, pictures of all can be viewed under photo's. I adore gardening so there is an abundance of hanging baskets and climbing plants on the terrace to be enjoyed including grape vines. For short stays of up to two nights we welcome children all ages, however for longer stays we accept families of four with children over 8 years of age. We recommend our 2 bedroomed Carriage House for larger families with younger children which is also advertised on this site, which has a full kitchen, dishwasher, washer dryer and private gardens. Guest AccessWe are on hand to welcome you and give you the keys and as we are registered for GST we have to collect an extra 5% fee on booking. Interaction with GuestsWe are on hand to look after the pool and advice you on how to make the best of your stay in the Okanagan The NeighborhoodThe Poolside Retreat, set in landscaped gardens and is very peaceful, being next to farmland, but only minutes from the Beach and downtown Peachland. We offer toys for children, plus there is a playground nearby and our lawned areas gives safe outside play. Downtown Peachland boasts 11km of waterfront lined with shops and restaurants. As it is in the centre of the Okanagan it is in an ideal spot to visit all the wineries, sights and activities that we have to offer. Our pool is seasonal so please check on booking for opening and closing dates during spring and fall. We do not charge a cleaning fee and request guests leave the unit in the clean state it is found with crockery washed and returned to cupboards and sheets and towels that need washing put in a pile inside under window by entrance door.

      It is hard to describe how much you will fee at home & relax in Peachy House just like us. Swim Bay is popular with families and kids of all ages, featuring diving boards, rope swings and a zip line over the water. It is the only life guarded beach in the Central Okanagan. Rentals of bikes, paddle boards and peddle boats are available at Beach Ave & 13th Ave. You can also rent motor boats at the Peachland Marina, go zip lining at the Zip Zone, or enjoy Peachland's own Farmer's Market on Sundays from 10-2. The Okanagan offers Canada's best wine growing regions. There are plenty of wine tours that you can take, or we are happy to suggest a DIY tour of some of our favorites. 30 minutes to the North is bustling Kelowna, which offers plenty of outstanding restaurants, live theatre and sightseeing along the water. 30 minutes to the South is Penticton - one of the most scenic drives - which has lovely sandy beaches and one of the biggest and best Farmer's Markets in the area, every Saturday. Getting AroundYou will need a vehicle to get around Peachland and the Central Okanagan. There is limited public transit and taxis are quite expensive. Other Things to NoteThe suite is extremely well insulated and sound proofed from the rest of our house. We have spent the odd night downstairs and the sound doesn't travel much at all - it is very quiet and peaceful in the suite. The TV has cable and is also is equipped with Chromecast. You can stream anything from your laptop/tablet/smart phone onto the TV. If you don't have the app, you can download it prior to arrival or once you get here. Anything that you can stream on your device, you can watch on the TV. If you are staying for more than one week, we will wash any towels and bed linens on a weekly basis.

Guest AccessWe have a quiet patio for the summer and a roaring indoor fire all winter long where, facilitating conversation all year long. You're welcome to use the kitchen. The laundry facilities are also available for an extended stay. We are doing some renovations in other parts of the house that should generally not effect your stay. The TV Room offers double hide-a-way sofa bed (which you can have by selecting more than 2 people) and a 42 inch flat screen with additional seating. The Den is a large open area which has a sofa and a new 22" high queen air bed and can be acquired by selecting more than 4 people for your stay. It is located close to the lake, downtown commercial area, Swim Bay, Beach Avenue pubs and restaurants and Heritage Park (location of the summer farmers and crafters market right by the beach). Inside enjoy a casual open concept living space with air conditioning for those hot summer days and 2 fireplaces for additional warmth on those colder winter days. The dining and kitchen area and upper deck all have a panoramic view of the lake and mountains. The upper level living room has a 33" TV. A variety of games are provided in a cabinet in the entry. A spiral staircase takes you to the spacious lower level TV lounge area where you will find a 60" TV and doors opening to a walkout covered patio all with a great view of the lake and mountains. 2 bedrooms and 1 full bathroom are on the upper level. 1 bedroom and 1 full bathroom are on the lower level. The master bedroom on the upper level and the bedroom on the lower level have lake views. All bedrooms have queen size beds. Two single/twin XL (extra long) beds are in the lower level TV lounge area. Upper and lower level bathrooms both have a tub and shower. The upper level bathroom has been recently renovated in a rustic/contemporary style and features a large shower, free-standing tub, live-edge wood vanity and sliding barn door. Outside there is a partially covered upper deck, a covered lower patio and a 12x24 sundeck (not covered) all with full view of the lake and mountains. Another fenced area outside has a natural gas BBQ and seating for 8 with umbrellas and mountainside view. Lounge chairs, conversation seating and dining seating are all provided in the outdoor spaces. For music there is a portable AM/FM player with CD, a blue tooth speaker, and an iPOD player. Guest AccessThe main entrance is right next to the carport and has a keyless entry. The carport can accommodate 1 vehicle and the single-lane driveway can accommodate 2-3 additional vehicles for onsite parking (depending on size). The NeighborhoodThe property is in Peachland and almost 1/2 acre situated on the mountain. Surrounding properties are a similar size which gives the neighborhood a rural atmosphere and feeling of privacy. It is not unusual to see deer and quail on or around the property. For adults, you will be within walking distance to Peachland's Beach Avenue and the lakeshore (1.4km) if you don't mind the uphill hike coming back. This walk is not recommended for small children. Heritage Park (4 min drive 1.7km) on the waterfront has picnic tables, playground, washrooms and spacious grassy area. Centennial Way waterfront walkway is recommended for day or evening walks and goes from Heritage Park to 13th St. Along the way there are a number of shops, restaurants and pubs many with outdoor patios or lake views. Swim Bay, (5 min drive 2.3km) located at Beach Ave and 6th Street in Peachland, is the only life guard protected beach in the Okanagan Valley, from May long weekend to Labor Day. It features a wharf with diving board, zip line & rope swing, concession stand, picnic tables, washrooms and change rooms. Search the web for "Destination Peachland" for more information on local beaches, parks and activities. Getting AroundPeachland is a great central location if you want to check out all that the Okanagan has to offer (Kelowna, Penticton, Naramata, Summerland), It is a short 12 min drive from Westbank (West Kelowna) and 22 min to downtown Kelowna and 25 min to Penticton in moderate traffic. BC Transit #22 bus to Westbank can be caught at Princeton Ave a 9min walk away. From Westbank you can connect with #97 bus which will take you into Kelowna, the city park and other destinations/connections. Other Things to NoteWe provide a Keurig machine (with re-usable K-cups to use your own fresh ground coffee), a French press and a Nespresso VertuoLine. We will offer some Nespresso sample pods for guests to try. There isn't a Nespresso boutique in Kelowna yet so if you want more Nespresso bring your own Nespresso pods and make sure they are for the VertuoLine model. We are 2 kilometres up the hill from downtown Peachland so if you are a hiker, you could walk to town. Other Things to NotePeachland is located right in the middle of the Okanagan with easy access to Kelowna, Penticton and Summerland (within 30 minutes away) as well as Vernon, Naramata, Okanagan Falls, Oliver and Osoyoos (all within one hours' drive). Most of the great wineries are south of Peachland which makes our location special. In addition, we have great restaurants in downtown Peachland. It is a historic waterfront town over 100 years old.
