In a separate building there's an upscale Outhouse style washroom with a sink , SunMar Excel "composting " toilet (yup , look it up if you aren't sure) , and seasonal outdoor shower available March through October. In colder weather you can access the main house shower and even the kitchen, when you need .
No Wifi here, so it's considered a true "retreat" now, but if you are staying a while and wish to hook up service, it's wired in the cabin, just need to call in the Shaw or Telus dude and he will swing in from the neighbours tree like Tarzan and hook up the line in for you.:) . If you want to access WiFi for short periods , you can feel free to come on up to the house.
There is Parking for 1 car, and several bikes. Coin laundry on site for small loads, or for bigger stinkier, post camping in the Himalayas type loads , there's a Village laundromat like no other.
Please note ,this small , funky space is really best suited to outdoorsy" , physically active agile types who are mostly 'out and about' exploring the surrounding areas during the day. Also guests must be ok with the usual bugs and creatures that come with indoor/ outdoor living and not be afraid of bears, raccoons, spiders, or nesting sparrows.

Must be a good match with us, as this cabin is located in a quiet residential neighbourhood We DONT want people holding parties here or having a lot of visitors coming and going at all hours, (unless we are invited).

At the end of your stay guests are expected to restore everything back to the way it was and do a basic cleaning. The place is never pristine because it's partially outdoors and the elements and local wildlife have their own agenda, but a basic sweep, tidy and wipe go a long way. Guests who leave the place cleaner than when they found it will be given $50 off the next week long visit and a free pass to our local museum...yeah! The Main House washroom is also available at times when the Composting toilet requires a break.
The outdoor spaces are considered "shared "areas as the Cabana is located on a small horse farm adjacent to a riding arena that is rented to a horse and dog trainers, but you are welcome to hang out in it and the fenced yards .
