The SpaceOur cabins are located on 90 acres of agricultural land alongside the Skeena River. We have Bear, Moose, Deer, Fox, Coyote, Eagles, Hawk, Owl, and everything else you might expect of a wilderness resort, only we are minutes from the city. The cabins are brand new, cozy in size, but filled with all the amenities of your typical hotel room. They have been custom built by my husband and I using milled wood from trees that were taken down to make space for the cabins!
Each cabin offers a 4 piece bathroom, full kitchenette, loft, covered deck and the most amazing views! There are 4 beds in total. 1 queen and 2 singles up in the loft and 1 futon in the living area on the main floor.
Shared grounds you will find a larger fire pit to mingle with other guests, and a couple smaller fire pits if you wish to keep things more private. Guest AccessGuided farm tours may be available for the barn, goat and chicken areas, the greenhouse (seasonally) but you have free access to the fields, trails and riverside. But please be extra careful around the river and keep an eye on any children you may have - at all times. There are trails along the river and one that leads off the property to under the "old bridge". You are welcome to use it but once again, please be extra careful. There are wild animals and the river can be dangerous - especially in flood season (May and June). Interaction with GuestsWe will be around most always if you need something or have any questions. We are happy to help. We will give you a number to text us at upon request. The NeighborhoodWe are in a semi industrial neighborhood, though you wouldn't know it. We have a very private acreage surrounded with trees on all sides. The neighborhood is safe, but please lock your vehicles and lock your cabins up if you have any valuables. We are not responsible for anything lost or stolen.
For the outdoor lovers there are some great mountain biking/hiking trails nearby, a Golf course, Shames Mountain ski hill, Onion Lake X-country Ski trails, Lakelse Lake Provincial Park, and world renowned fishing spots all within a short drive away. Getting AroundParking is on site and just a short walk from the cabins. We are located on a bus route, but bicycle rental may be available from us at certain times of the year, and depending on availability. Cabs are always available. The nearest convenience store is only a short 10 minute walk. City center is a 5 minute car ride. Other Things to NoteFlood season is May and June and the river can be high and dangerous. We do not recommend going near the rivers edge during these times. We will let you know upon checking in what the water level is like.
