We are usually home to greet you, unless we're on vacation ( 2 months a year). The NeighborhoodWHY STAY ON MAIN ST? The SpaceNote: Although we love children (and have a grown-up one), I would describe our home as adult oriented. Preference for one couple only. Four people maximum. Unfortunately, I am not able to accommodate guests with children. You will love our home, 1.5 blocks (less than 150 meters) from Kitsilano Beach, one of the busiest and most popular beaches in Vancouver. Our home is the front half of a duplex, built in typical west coast style. It has a beautiful and very private front garden - your oasis in the city. The main floor is a modern and open-floor plan, with living room, dining room, high-end kitchen, and powder room. Two bedrooms are on the second floor. The master bedroom has a queen sized bed, with an ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom has a double bed. There is another full bathroom on the second floor. The third floor is an open loft area, with an office, sofa, and television. You couldn't find a better neighbourhood in Vancouver. Walk to the beach in a couple of minutes. Rest in our quiet garden. Shops and restaurants are very close. You can even walk downtown over the bridge, or hop on the bus that stops about 1 block from home. We will make sure you have a comfortable stay in our home. Arrival and departure times are flexible. Absolutely no pets. Interaction with GuestsI am always available to answer questions during your visit. Other Things to NoteI have assembled a folder of tourist information to help you get around Vancouver and enjoy the attractions.

The Space2 guests will be very comfortable in this open space. The sofa bed is a brand new queen size it is very comfortable with additional foam. Newly renovated bathroom with ergonomic tub and arm rests for comfort! Lots of light from the windows and patio doors in your area. You will have direct patio access and use. Including use of the Patio set, BBQ, and cozy hammock in the spring/summer. The patio is shared however, I have my own entrance to it. Feel free to close your curtains for privacy. Whether they are opened or closed I will not enter your area. My cat goes outside in the daytime so feel free to let her out in the morning. Please do not let her outside after dark. She usually goes out my bedroom, but if she meows at the door you are welcome to let her out in the daytime. In fact I recommend putting her out when you leave the house in the day so that she sleeps at night. There are blackout curtains to keep your privacy from the outside and this also allows for a better sleep. This is a bustling neighbourhood with lots of restaurants, clothing stores, cafes, pubs and more. Within a 5 minute walk there is the main skytrain line (Expo and Millennium Line), a Safeway grocery store, Donald's market (great for fresh produce), shoppers drug mart, and a great sushi place etc. Enjoy the patio complete with table and chairs for dining and a wonderful hammock. Also, please feel free to use the kitchen and dining room and space in the refrigerator. The dining area, kitchen and bathroom is shared so please leave them in the condition you found them in. Also the bathroom has a shelf available for your use as well as the bottom two shelves inside the shower, and feel free to use two hooks in the bathroom for towels. I provide basics like shampoo, conditioner and body wash. There is a laundry room in the building which is very cheap as it charges $1.00 per wash and $1.00 per dry. In your area there are storage baskets for your belongings. The front closet has some hanging space as well. I work full time so I am out of the house quite a bit although I am usually home for dinner time and then out again. I love my city and am very happy to recommend fun things to do, great places to eat and anything else you might be looking for. I love to have a chat if your interested. However, I know it is important for you to feel like you have your own private space. Feel free to close your curtain divider for privacy. Please leave the table on the kitchen side of the curtain so I may use it as well. Transit in this area could not be better. Bus route to downtown (10 mins), Broadway station on the Canada line metro and UBC right outside the door. Just a 40 min trip to the airport on transit or 20 mins if driving. Commercial drive station, the hub for expo and millennium metro train lines within a 5 min walk. If you are renting a car there is plenty of free street parking in this area. I may be able to arrange under ground garage parking. The only parking restriction is directly in front of the condo on Broadway between 3pm-6pm there is no parking however, the opposite side of the street is free during this time. The parking sign says maximum 2 hrs however, I have left mine overnight and all day with no problems. In the three years I have lived here I have not seen a ticket for being parked too long. Just don't park between 3pm-6pm! You can park across the street during that time though. Only 1 block from major bike routes. Guest AccessEnjoy the patio complete with table and chairs for dining, a BBQ and a wonderful hammock. Also, please feel free to use the kitchen and dining room and space in the refrigerator. The newly renovated bathroom has a shelf available for your use and feel free to use two hooks in the bathroom. There is also a shelf in the shower for your things as well. I have provided shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. There is a laundry room in the building which is very cheap as it charges $1.00 per load. I spend most of my time in my room to allow you privacy. Keep in mind the kitchen and dining room table is shared. I need to be able to use the table too. Please feel free to knock on my door for questions or a chat. The NeighborhoodThis is a bustling neighborhood with lots of restaurants, clothing stores, cafes, pubs and more. Other Things to NoteThere is a shared laundry room in the building however the price is good. Only $1 per wash and $1 per dry. Also, I do have a cat however, I am very diligent about keeping the house hair and smell free. Many people comment that it is very clean! I used to have severe cat allergies that have improved over long term exposure so this has made me very diligent about keeping pet hair to a minimum. My cat is outside in the day and she sleeps with me at night. The place is not baby proofed. Children are welcome. Please no smoking on the property.

There are no additional taxes/fees added. The price that you pay on airbnb is the full price. Q: How does the damage deposit work? A: Airbnb will authorize your card for the damage deposit before you check in. As long as you don't throw all of my stuff off the balcony nothing gets charged ;) Guest AccessYou will have full access to everything in the condo. I like to think that I have everything you need but if you have questions about anything just ask! Interaction with GuestsI won't be at the condo during your stay (it's all yours!) but I'm almost always available via email/phone to answer any questions. The NeighborhoodOfficially called Crosstown, my neighbourhood is central between Gastown, downtown, and the Olympic Village. There are soooo many great little cafes/restaurants/cocktail lounges nearby that I love checking out. You're also only 300 meters from the Vancouver Seawall (which takes you around Stanley Park), probably one of the best places in the city to go for a run/bike/walk. Getting AroundThere is a major skytrain station 1 block away from the condo. There are about 5 major bus stops within a 1 block radius as well. If you like to walk you can get to all the best places in the city within minutes. Other Things to NoteIn the interest of full disclosure my place does overlook the skytrain track so expect some noise from the trains when they go by. It's not crazy loud but something to be aware of if you're extremely sensitive to that sort of thing. Additionally my place is south facing so expect it to get warm in the summer. I have multiple fans in my place to help out with that but no A/C.

The Space100 year-old brick walk-up building in excellent condition. Been used as a set for many films and tv shows. The building features 4 apartments; the front suite with stained glass bay windows above Commercial Drive is the one offered. The suite is very private, especially considering it's location, and only shares a bathroom wall with another suite. It has 9 ft ceilings, original radiators, doors and mouldings, early 20th century decor, wood floors, claw-foot iron bath tub and beautiful hexagonal marble tile in the bathroom. There are two bedrooms, one featuring a brand new organic bamboo king-sized mattress, and a single-sized bed in the smaller bedroom. A blow-up mattress is available if required. The kitchen is fully equipped to bake a cake, and has settings for 8. There is a 42" smart tv with cable and movies on-demand as well as free wi-fi and AC. Guest AccessThe master bedroom has a beautiful armoire for stowing your belongs; there is also a dresser in the second bedroom and large hall closet for your use. You're welcome to use the buildings laundry machines if so desired. Interaction with GuestsAs the apartment is all yours, the only interaction would be when you arrive and when you check out, (providing you don't mind feeding the fish in the aquarium). ;-) The NeighborhoodCommercial Drive, Vancouver's Little Italy, is the most eclectic, artistic and vibrant part of the city. Home to a swath of ethnic Europeans, hippy throw-backs, artists of all walks and trendy young people, the neighbourhood hosts the friendliest locals, and I dare say, the coolest vibe in the Lower Mainland. Strolling around you'll notice the cafés, bars and restaurants, shops absent of corporate logos, live theaters and galleries all surrounded by the city's most charming collection of restored or maintained wood frame character houses and beautiful parks with sweeping views of downtown and the local mountain range. It really is brilliant! Getting AroundA short walk up the street will bring you to the Broadway/Commercial Station which is one train stop from Science World (iconic globe-like building built for Expo 86) and two stops from downtown. From the airport, you would take the Canada Line train to Waterfront, then Waterfront to Broadway/Commercial. There are buses that run up and down Commercial of course. There is also plenty of parking on Kitchener and adjacent streets if you come by car. Other Things to NoteAlthough AirBNB does not allow links to external sites, you're welcome to email me and I'll send you a link to the apartment's website if you'd like.

The SpaceLarge Space to hang out - many apartments in Vanouver are tiny... Plus You'd have a large patio with a roof - incredibly comfy when it's raining... Good size kitchen with all the tools you'd need, Microwave, French press, espresso maker, blender, crockpot.... Guest AccessThe whole apartment. There's a coin washer/dryer in the building. If you wanted, you can have my bike to get around - very handy (basic mountainbike, I'm a tall guy)! Needless to say - if anything's broken or bike is lost - you should pay for it... Interaction with GuestsI won't be present often - travelling for work often. A friend will help with the keys. But I can give you some tips via email! The NeighborhoodSuper close to the beach (Kits beach), also it's walking distance to Granville Island. 2 supermarkets are within a few min's walk, and a convenience store right below me. Many great sushi places super close by! Getting AroundTo get to downtown, jump on one of the three bus lines running straight from my house to DT every couple of minutes - takes like 15min. Fast bus access (Line 99) to the sky train (Canada line) from the airport - so really easy to get to. Other Things to NoteThere's a decent sushi place right in the building!

The SpaceMy home is one-year-old with upstairs bedroom and two bathrooms: 1,000 square feet. Plus parking. A cook's dream kitchen with state-of-the-art appliances. And you'll have the best sleep with fabulous memory foam mattress, goose-down duvets and assortment of pillows. Guest AccessEntire house. Big bedroom upstairs and sofa downstairs pulls out to queen bed with memory mattress--extremely comfy. Hi-speed internet, cable TV. Interaction with GuestsYou can contact me anytime and I always arrange for 'meet and greet' when you arrive. I can also assist you with any travel arrangements, such as booking hotels in another city, where to eat, etc. (I also write travel guides). The NeighborhoodI have lived on Wall Street since 1996 and wouldn't want to be anywhere else. Vancouver Magazine devoted an entire page to Wall Street, coining it "Vancouver's Best Kept Secret". It is private and quiet but ideally situated--close to downtown and just a minute from the highway (can't see or hear) going east or west to Whistler. ( I should add that a recent guest who wrote a review complained about noise--although she loved the house and wants to return. A house was being built a few houses away but it is finished and the neighbourhood is quiet. But you will hear birds chirping.) Getting AroundBus stop is two blocks away and grocery stores, restaurants within a 15-minute walk. Ample parking by the house and included with listing. Other Things to NoteMy kitchen reflects my foodie lifestyle with state-of-the-art kitchen appliances including VitaMix, Cuisinart, even a smoker on the deck. Help yourself to fresh herbs growing in the veggie beds and 2 chaise lounges, completely private on patio
