So there's a desk in that room now. You should be aware of this so no surprises. The town, to compensate, allows for people sleeping in the loft where i put a double futon. What you do with that extra room is up to you. NOTE that linens are not included in this rental but a linen service can be hired. $75 (sheets, pillow cases and towels). Please contact us for further details. Great for the entire group, Mountain View is a scenic chalet in the heart of Blue Mountain. Located minutes away from Blue Mountain Village and Collingwood. It is also a two minute drive to the picturesque North Winds Beach, which is perfect for swimming, picnics, barbeques or just relaxing. The chalet accommodates up to 20 people with a total of ten bedrooms; four on the first floor and six on the lower floor with two washrooms. The top floor is in an open-concept with large living and dining room. The chalet features a custom kitchen to accommodate large gatherings, and a balcony walkout. Directly opposite is the entertainment area surrounded in deep couches with HDTV, digital cable, and DVD player. The front facing walkout balcony faces Blue Mountain and offers an outdoor dining area and a propane barbecue. Mountain View chalet also has a six person hot tub accessible from the first floor bedrooms and deck.     Chalet Description The Chalet is located close to the base of Blue Mountain about a mile from the lake (Georgian Bay) and about fifteen minutes from Wasaga Beach. Blue Mountain is an all year resort area with golf , tennis, mountain bikes, hiking ,horseback riding boating, fishing and swimming in the summer. For winter recreation there are all the amenities for fun in the snow especially alpine skiing. The Chalet is located in Tyrolean Village on Alberg Cresent (off Kandahar lane). The chalet (semi detached) has three floors, with the front entrance facing away from the other side (private). There is parking for at least five cars. Top floor Open concept with living room dinning room kitchen and a deck. The kitchen is equipped with two fridges, stove dishwasher and microwave. There is satellite TV. There is a large fireplace in the living room. There is a gas barbecue on the deck. Main floor Five bedrooms are located on the main floor. Four have double bunk beds and the other room just has a double bed. There are two bathrooms. One is a three piece and the other a two piece. There is a large sauna off one of the bathrooms. Basement The basement has three bedrooms. Two with double bunk beds and one with single bunk beds. There is also a wreck room with darts and table tennis. The basement has a walkout to the back patio area. The chalet is located in Tyrolean Village near the base of Blue Mountain which is a resort area.

Thornbury is small enough that you can walk almost anywhere from where we live at the eastern edge of town. Alternatively, there is a taxi service in town. The town also has a grocery store, liquor store and pharmacy for your convenience. Other Things to NoteWe live in a fantastic area with plenty of tourist attractions. Nearby, within a half hour drive, you can visit the rolling hills and vineyards of The Blue Mountains, the famous Scandinave Spa, the Village at Blue, numerous ski resorts, the Scenic Caves and Collingwood. The adjoining village of Clarksburg has some lovely art galleries and antiques shops. Georgian Bay is great for swimming, boating, water sports & fishing.     The SpaceThis impressive, recently renovated open concept studio loft condo is located within Mountain Springs Resort right at Blue Mountain Resort. This condo is ideal for a getaway no matter what time of year. This unit features everything from granite counter-tops to heated tile floors. Up to 6 people can be comfortably accommodated. Sleeping arrangements include a queen bed upstairs in the loft, a full sized ‘murphy bed’ and a full sized sofa bed. There are two full bathrooms with a Jacuzzi jet tub found in the upstairs. The use of all linens and towels are included. Even though there are towels provided, I would recommend to bring your own beach/pool towels. A fully equipped kitchen is at your disposal for preparing and cooking your favorite meals away from home. If dining out is more your style or you are looking for a night out, the Blue Mountain Village is a short walk or a free shuttle bus ride away. It has restaurants of every taste and varying atmospheres from family dining options to high class wine and cocktail bars and everything in between. There is a flat-screen LCD TV with cable TV and a DVD player for evening entertainment. Enjoy the ambiance from the electric fireplace. Free wireless internet is also available. Enjoy morning coffee sitting out at the bistro set on the deck backing onto the mountain while listening to the babbling brook. Mountain Springs Resort features a year round hot tub (found at main reception building) , an outdoor pool (open in summer months) and on site tennis courts. The condo is located on the 2nd level of the building accessible by 2 flights of stairs. It is not recommended for those guests with mobility concerns. Rates include a 2% Village Association Fee Minimum of 2 nights booking on weekends. Inquire about unadvertised last minute booking deals. Once you have a confirmed reservation, I will send all necessary check in information via email 7 days prior to your stay. There are lots of attractions in the area. This property is only 1km away from mountain activities and attractions at Blue Mountain Village, 1 km from a public beach, 4km to world class Scandinave Spa, 4 km to the Scenic Caves Nature Adventures Park, 30 km from Wasaga Beach and so much more!

Our home is well located for skiing, Scandinave and hiking on the Bruce Trail. Getting AroundA car is pretty well essential when visiting. There is free parking space in the driveway. The Greyhound bus stop is a six minute walk away but stops are infrequent. Other public transportation is not available. BUT: The tap water in this house is treated by the town and originates from Georgian Bay ( One of the cleanest large lakes in Ontario). From what we see evidenced by the hundreds of empty plastic bottles left behind, the (cheapest brands) water people buy are of inferior quality to our tap water (Yes, I have tested several). You would need to buy costly distilled or "RO" water to improve on the quality of our tap water. In fact, MOST municipal tap water supplies in Canada are of better quality than the likes of the cheapest bottled waters in the stores. Please don't take this personally .. I know people love their bottled water but if purchasing water, maybe pay a bit more for better water than what comes out of the taps for free.

Getting AroundThornbury is 2 hours driving distance northwest of Toronto airport. We provide parking space for you at our house. Thornbury is small enough that you can walk almost anywhere from where we live at the eastern edge of town. Alternatively, there is a taxi service in town. The town also has a grocery store, liquor store and pharmacy for your convenience. Other Things to NoteWe live in a fantastic area with plenty of tourist attractions. Nearby, within a half hour drive, you can visit the rolling hills and vineyards of The Blue Mountains, the famous Scandinave Spa, the Village at Blue, numerous ski resorts, the Scenic Caves and Collingwood. The adjoining village of Clarksburg has some lovely art galleries and antiques shops. Georgian Bay is great for swimming, boating, water sports & fishing.       The SpaceProbably the best condo at the Mountain Springs Resort (MSR) right at the base of the North Hill of Blue Mountain. This is a true ski-in/ski-out location beside the Toronto Ski Club, just a dozen steps from your front door. There are NO stairs to climb to get in/out of this bright GROUND LEVEL condo which offers great views of the ski hill and the BEST FULL DECK in the complex. This chalet is a 15 minute walk to Blue Mountain Village. If you prefer, hop on a FREE SHUTTLE bus. One of the TWO DECKS has a beautiful view of a SMALL WATERFALL which you can hear whenever outside enjoying the scenery. A SMALL STREAM flows around the outside of your private bedroom. This 554 sq. ft. chalet gives you one SEPARATE, PRIVATE bedroom, and a new leather LazyBoy sleeper-couch in the living room. Both are very comfortable queen-sized beds with down duvets. This condo has been recently upgraded with a new electric fireplace, marble backsplash, granite counters, carpeting, furniture, two high efficiency HVAC units and stainless steel appliances. This condo sleeps 4 persons in TWO, SEPARATE, PRIVATE rooms. There is one compete bathroom with a two sink vanity and Jacuzzi tub. The living room has an electric fireplace, a 40 inch SMART TV, and a Lazy-B. Toy fold out sleeper couch. The full kitchen includes stainless-steel appliances including a new Bosch dishwasher, fridge, stove/oven and microwave, and island. Towels, utensils pots, pans, kettle, coffee makers, toaster, martini/wine glasses, etc are all provided. There is also a separate dining area with 4 chairs for your dining comfort. Other amenities include a seasonal hot tub and swimming pool (common to complex), underground parking, Tennis Courts, a private ski locker, free Wifi and Cable TV are included. Free parking, free shuttle service, picnic tables and charcoal BBQ's are also available. Blue Mountain Village is a pleasant 15 minute walk or 5 minute drive from Mountain Springs. MSR offers a FREE shuttle service (called At Your Service) 365 days a year! There is an endless amount of events and activities to choose from at this recreational paradise. In the summer, golf, tennis, festivals, mountain biking, and hiking are just a few of the many great activities to do. In the winter, Blue Mountain offers the best skiing and snowboarding in Ontario. Information on ‘where to eat’, shopping, recreation, etc is available through the several local magazines which you will find in the condo, upon arrival. During the summer, there are free concerts most Friday and Saturday nights in the Village from 7-9 pm. Guest AccessOnce a Reservation is made, you will be provided with detailed directions to MSR and the electronic code to gain access to the condo. Check-in is anytime after 4 p.m. and check-out is anytime before 11 a.m. In the summer, guests have free access to a tennis court, free parking (above and underground), a free shuttle to the Blue Mountain Village, a hot tub (common to the complex), and a heated swimming pool. The pool and hot-tub are accessible by entering the Reception Building, walking downstairs, changing in the washroom/change-rooms, then walking up the stairs to the left to the pool. You will need to bring your own towels, or use those in my condo. Alternatively, a black metal gate door to the right of the Reception Building stairs is often open so you can just use that if it is open. There is also a small restaurant, with live music on the weekends, called the Loft, in the Reception Building which you may want to check out.
