The SpaceThe cabin has 1 bedroom with a queen bed and a double fold out couch, which can comfortably sleep 4 people. We are dog friendly so please feel free to bring your furry friend. We have 2 dogs who live with us on the property (a big goldendoodle and a border collie). Cabin comes equipped with a fireplace and firewood for cool nights, full kitchen with additional coffee maker, soda stream, toaster, veggie/rice steamer and more. There is a natural spring on the property, which the water is pumped from. It is then UV filtered making every tap drinkable. Cabin runs on septic, fresh spring water (filtered), wood fireplace, as well as a propane heater to create an almost off-grid experience. We recycle, compost and conserve energy as much as possible, promoting a sustainable living experience. Wrap around deck on south and east sides makes for perfect outdoor enjoyment. Hot tub sits flush with the east deck with fantastic views across the valley. The 7 person hot tub has over 40 jets. Perfect for end of day after hiking with over 70 acres of property to explore. And in the summer months we have a 25' round pool to enjoy as well. Please note that nightly pricing now includes Ontario HST tax (13%), incorporated into nightly fee. If you require a breakdown receipt outside of AirBNB receipt please ask on booking. Thank you! Also, please note that we are not an accessible cabin. There are 3 steps up to the main deck entry, no ramp or handrail. If you have any special needs please do contact us prior to booking and we can answer all your questions. Our property is one of a kind. On a clear morning from the living room you will witness some spectacular sunrises. In the evening you can enjoy the ambiance of the sun setting or head up the road a few minutes to watch the sunset completely. The cabin sits at the top of a hill, up the driveway from our primary residence (another small cabin). The hill is perfect for keeping the mosquitos away with a continuous breeze. There are 3 reforested areas, lots of old forest, a meandering meadow, hills, wetlands, apple trees, the Saugeen River, streams and a natural spring. Wildlife includes tons of deer, rabbit, birds, wild turkeys and the occasional spotting (or hear them howl) of coyotes and wolf. The valley of the property echoes so they do sound close sometimes even though they are a distance away. We have two dogs that live on the property with us. One is a big golden doodle that will fall in love with you if you have treats. He is a sweetheart. The other is a border collie, super smart. Be warned, if you start to play frisbee or ball with her she will not let you stop ;-) We also live on the property but do not bother our guests unless there is something you will need. Guest AccessGuest have access to the upper Cabin, 72 acres of land to hike, hot tub, bbq, firewood and more. Summer months (mid-May to mid-September) the pool will be open which is located beside the cabin. Interaction with GuestsWe interact with the guests only as needed, respecting privacy. The dogs are known to wonder up and say hello occasionally too. We live and work remotely on the property. We have two dogs who are active on the 3 acres of developed land, though we respect privacy and quietness and will keep dogs at bay if needed :-) The NeighborhoodWe are located in Priceville, Ontario, one of the highest points in Ontario, part of the Grey Highlands. We are 10min west of historic and artful Flesherton off Grey Rd 4. Flesherton boasts tons of unique amenities such as the Leslieville Cheese Market, delicious bakery, Peasmarsh Farms for fantastic meat options and local chef! Bicycle Cafe and Highland Grounds serve up incredible lattes and cappuccino. Gourmet Pizza is fantastic as well. Art galleries, yoga studio and more. Many options for food, art, entertainment and outdoor recreation in the area. Getting AroundWhen it comes to getting around there is no transit. This is a rural experience and will require a car to get there and back. Please note in winter months it is best to have snow tires for our area. Guests renting a vehicle, please make sure the car has snow tires and/or 4-wheel drive. That is your best option. Weather can be crazy but fun, we get tons of snow! The SpaceThink spring! My cabin awaits! For those who have already stayed at my spot or those looking for an intimate spring connection with nature, this is the place to find it. The cabin is located in the woods down a picturesque little-travelled gravel road, behind a high wooden gate that reminds some visitors of Narnia and Tolkien. Others call it Shangri-la. Walking through its fifty acres of lovely beech and maple woods protected by the Niagara Escarpment Commission, you come upon strikingly dramatic ridges and ravines full of birds, wild flowers and rare mushrooms. Once it gets warm enough there’s a totally secluded swimmable pond where you can play at being Adam and Eve, and watch frogs and dragonflies. A stream gushes alongside the cabin that sounds divine, and there’s a sunny deck with a charming vista of the pond and wooded hills beyond. You can also enjoy the view from the large picture window in the living room, while sitting by a cosy evening fire. The cabin is a lovingly personalized art-filled retreat that’s a perfect spot for two, but can accommodate up to six. There’s a snug nook called the Sauna Lounge and Bar where you can sip a cocktail and gaze out at the woods backlit at sunset. The lounge doubles as a second bedroom, with a queen-sized bed. There’s a bunkroom if you are doing the family thing, as well as a pull-out sofa in the living room. The master bedroom has large windows with vistas on three sides. As an off-the grid spot there is cell phone reception. But after dark candles and flashlights are provided, and essential. The spring stream-fed water system is limestone filtered and provides delicious drinking water, but no hot water, thus camp-style boiling of water for dish-washing and shower is required. The bathroom has a flush toilet, flushed in winter with a bucket. There's a propane stove and ice-box fridge in a well-equipped kitchen, and a propane BBQ on the deck. Guest AccessThe cabin, as indicated on the map, is half way down Campbell's Hill Rd., a steep gravel road, leading down into the Beaver Valley. The fire code # is 466286. The turn-off down Campbell's Hill Rd. is left off Grey Rd 13, 2 kms north of the village of Eugenia. Interaction with GuestsYour host will be there to greet you and explain all the fine points. Once you settle in, she will be only five minutes away and reachable by phone/text in case you need anything. Otherwise your seclusion is total. The NeighborhoodNo neighbourhood. How perfect! Five minutes away up the hill in the village of Eugenia at a store called Top O' the Rock, you can buy liquor and basic food supplies. There's another store called Jable's, and also an excellent restaurant bar open on weekends, The Flying Chestnut. Make a point of visiting Eugenia Falls in the village, a beautiful gorge in a cedar grove. The town of Markdale with a full supermarket is a lovely cross-the-valley 20 minute drive. Lake Eugenia where you can put a boat in the water and swim is five minutes away by car. The cabin is literally on the Bruce Trail, but many other access points to the Trail are close by, including the magestic Old Baldy walk, in May full of trillium carpets. In winter Beaver Valley Ski Club for downhill skiing is also very close. Getting AroundA car is essential to get there. After that hiking is the thing. Other Things to NoteYour host would love to know something about you in your email reservation request.

We have two dogs (email: hidden) on the property with us, getting close to 3yrs now. One is a big golden doodle that will fall in love with you. He loves treats but we ask our guests not to feed him any human feed and if you have treats please let us know what kind first :-) He is a sweetheart. The other is a border collie, super smart and high energy. She can be anxious with new people but makes friends through playing. Be warned, if you start to play frisbee or ball with her she will not let you stop ;-) We are located in Priceville, Ontario, one of the highest points in Ontario, part of the Grey Highlands. An additional 5min east of Flesherton is the stunning Hoggs Falls, which sits on the Bruce Trail. Easy to access and worth the visit. In the summer you can scale down and swim in the falls! Another 5min away is Eugenia Falls and Eugenia Lake. 10min west of us is Durham, which has beautiful McGowan Falls with lots of walking trails, Garafraxa coffee theater and the Durham Art Gallery. Within 45min drive are spectacular destinations such as Collingwood/Blue Mountain, Talisman, Beaver Valley, Standing Rock, Bruce Peninsula, many waterfalls and around 1hr to Sauble Beach for incredible sunsets and day trips to the beach. There are many, many things to do in the area. Winnie Acres Horseback Riding is right around the corner from us and Irish Lake up the road. BruceTrail for tons of hiking and biking. Many options for food, art, entertainment and outdoor recreation in the area.

Cabin comes equipped with a fireplace, full kitchen with coffee maker, soda stream, toaster, veggie/rice steamer, bread maker and more. There is a natural spring on the property, which the water is pumped from. It is then UV filtered making every tap drinkable. Cabin runs on septic, fresh spring water (filtered), fireplace (propane furnace and space heater if needed) to create an almost off-grid experience. We have two dogs that live on the property with us, getting close to 3yrs now. Be warned, if you start to play frisbee or ball with her she will not let you stop ;-)
