The SpaceWe are located in beautiful Fonthill, the heart of the Niagara Peninsula. It's only a short drive to many great attractions including Niagara Falls (15 minutes), Niagara-on-the-Lake, world renowned wineries, lots of great golfing, the Niagara Escarpment, the US Border, Buffalo NY, and just over an hour to Toronto. For those attending events or conferences at Brock University, we are only 10 minutes away. Having a car to get around is important, unless of course you are taking advantage of the great cycling Niagara has to offer. In our house you will have full access to a ground floor private room with full bathroom, including fresh bedding and towels. We are located in a very quiet neighborhood, so a good nights sleep is always available. The room has a brand new queen size Kingsdown bed. It also has a flat screen TV with a HDMI mini cable and DVD player (sorry, no cable TV). There is also WiFi available. We are within walking distance to a variety of restaurants and stores. Interaction with GuestsWe can help provide information and directions to some of the great attractions in the area, once we learn what you are interested in seeing or doing. We have a couple very friendly pets, a cat and a dog, who will also greet you at some point during your stay. Other Things to NotePlease keep in mind we are in Canada, so those travelling from the US or abroad, make sure you have your passports or visas as required. Also, we do not have any local public transit, so having a car to get here is important.

The SpaceI have a private bedroom (extra bedroom available for 3-4 guests who book at same time) with double bed, dresser, nightstand, light, closet, WiFi, shared bathroom & kitchen, living room, dining room While I don't serve breakfast officially there is always cream, milk, sugar, yoghurt, fresh fruits, cereal, etc. available for guests to use if they choose to do so:) Extra bedroom is ideal if you require additional room, for example, for a child who wants their own room or travelling in a group where 2 rooms makes more sense. I'm open to offering a special offer depending on your needs. While guests stay here I'm usually travelling or out most of the day/evening so basically you will have the place mostly to yourself and won't have to share much while you are here unless you want me to more interactive which I can be:) While guests are here I use the downstairs bathroom for myself when guests are here so you will basically have the "shared" main bathroom all to yourself. This is an older house (creaky stairs) but what it lacks in "modern" appearance it makes up for being cozy and centrally located off River Road and East Main Street (5 minutes to the Seaway Mall, WalMart, Canadian Tire, etc). Minutes to the 406 highway that takes you to Niagara Falls and St. Catharines easily and quickly. The house and back porch and yard is at your use as long as you treat my things with respect as you would treat your own home. Parking in driveway or on street for up to 2 cars. Back porch or front porch for morning coffee. Downtown Welland is 5 minute walk away from my home. Courthouse, Bus Terminal are within walking distance (5 minute walk) and Niagara College is within a 10 minute drive (30 minute walk). Seaway Mall and Walmart/Canadian Tire at 406 are minutes away as well as Sportsplex. Niagara Falls is 20 minute drive away and many local attractions are within 30 minutes away maximum (wine routes, Sherkston Beaches, Crystal Beach, Port Colborne locks, Thorold locks, Brock University and Niagara College). Not great local transit, but there is local Welland transit and Regional transit (Monday to Saturday 7 am to 8 pm. Buses run to St. Catharines and Niagara Falls every hour). Coach Canada bus to Niagara Falls, St. Catharines runs through a couple of times/day. I also have a bike and 2 foldable bikes for use for any guests. All I ask is that they be locked up if going anywhere around the city. I have helmets available for use. Guest Accesseverything pretty much. laundry if you need it. ironing board.hair dryer. espresso machine just about anything else, just ask. Interaction with GuestsMy interaction with guests is as much as guests want or don't want. I'm a very social person and love meeting people from all over so if you want interaction i'm happy to provide it. If you want to be left alone I'm happy to do that too. The Neighborhoodcentrally located. can walk to downtown, library, city hall, courthouse, and also close to Seaway Mall, Niagara College and Canadian Tire, Walmart and 406. close to walking trails as well. The Welland River and Merritt Island is close by. Great for a morning walk, run or bike ride (I have 2 bikes available for guest use). A little park is at the end of the street for anyone with young kids. Getting Aroundyes local Welland transit and Regional Transit but not great schedules.

Large family home located in the hub of Niagara, close to vineyards, farms and Niagara Falls, with a 20 minute drive to the U.S.A. I have two grown children, who are studying and working away from home. Abby, the cat also shares a part of the home. The house is a 2 storey, with plenty of room. The 2nd floor has 2 spacious bedrooms - one with a queen size bed, double closet, the 2nd a twin bed, the bathroom is a 4 piece. Large spacious kitchen, fully equipped, walk out deck with hot tub, seating area and BBQ. A nice kitchen seating area opens up to a patio where at the end of your day you can unwind in a large backyard, with trees and gardens. Fully fenced in a quiet neighbourhood. Bicycle and walking trails nearby, horse riding stables located within a 15 minute walk. Farmers markets are plenty in this area, you can pick your own produce or buy it from the local city market. Niagara on the Lake and Fonthill, boasts a community that thrives on local produce and summer festivals. Surrounded by Lake Erie and Lake Ontario, you can take your pick where you would like to go for a picnic or watch the rowers out in Port Dalhousie. Picturesque towns within a 20 minute car ride. The kitchen is never closed, as I love to create new dishes and sweets, which I love to share with my neighbors and friends. Although I don't have my children home any longer, my kitchen is always open.

The SpaceQuaint cottage with new interior with access to a private sandy beach 350 m away. We are less than two hours from Toronto and close to wonderful Niagara wine country. We have a large lot with mature trees and lots of space to relax. Beautiful bird watching. Also lots of toads and (!) tree frogs...see photo. The cottage is in Long Beach. Close to Wainfleet, between Dunnville and Pt. Colbourne. We have private access to a shared beach on Lake Erie. Less than 2 hours from Toronto, and a wonderful drive up through Vineland and wine country. Against the traffic to this great cottage area with a great beach. SLEEPING This cottage sleeps a max of 8. And it is a small cottage so we reccommend a max of 6 people. It is fine when the weather is nice, but it feels small on a rainy day! The cottage is about 500 sq ft not including the loft space nd the bunkie. The sleeping arrangements in the main cottage are as follows: 2 bedrooms ; each with double bunk beds. Also a double futon in the living room. There is also a bunkie; that is old and rustic. It has no power, but (URL HIDDEN) has a double spring frame with a foam and air mattress. Also there are two single cots ; one is foam on a wood surface. , the other is a cot with air matress. QUIET COMMUNITY Please note this is a very sleepy community and generally quiet. Please be respectful of the neighbours as many are seniors. This is not a cottage to book and have a party...We encourage respect and community. FAMILY COTTAGE: Please realize this is a family cottage. As such it is NOT a resort with resort amenities. We do a light cleaning in between rentals and expect renters to leave the cottage as you found it. Clean and swept. Please be respectful. If you require an ultra clean/sterile space, perhaps this is not the cottage for you. There will be sand and certainly bugs on most ocassions. Our family has asthma, and as such it is clean, but we do not use harsh cleaners or any fragrance. Please do not buy and use toxic cleaners here. Our cleaners use vinegar, baking soda and tea tree oil and soap to clean. As such you will not smell the cleaners. We have a septic system and toxic cleaners disrupt the natural balance of the system. Our personal things are at the cottage. There will be space set aside for you and your guests to put your things.
