Come and stay at this typical island-style house in a unique location and with access to the West Dune beach, just 80 meters from the house. Breathtaking sunsets directly in front of the cottage. The fine beaches of the Ã?les de la Madeleine have always been a major drawing card for summer tourists, making the Islands one of the foremost tourist destinations in Quebec. The beaches around the archipelago are easy to get to. It is wonderful to stretch out on the warm sand, let the sun caress your skin and the wind whisper in your ears. The sigh of the waves is an irresistible invitation to swim. You might choose to go for a long solitary walk along the beach with only the birds for company. A sure-fire way to recharge your batteries! You can get together with your family to create a sand castle, collect shells or harvest clams in the recommended areas or just sit and meditate while you gaze on the sea whose gift is to renew the person who contemplates it. On some beaches, it can be very dangerous to go swimming on windy days even if you are a good swimmer. Waves are often the sign of strong currents along the coast. On windy days, bathe only on beaches with a lifeguard or stay out of the water entirely. For more information, contact the Tourist Information Office. At the end of August and in September, the water temperature in the bays and lagoons can reach 17°C to 21°C. That means you can enjoy swimming until the end of September! Wind can be a major factor in your enjoyment of a day by the sea, so it is always a good idea to choose a sheltered beach. Because the dunes are a fragile ecosystem essential to the natural equilibrium of the littoral milieu, vehicle traffic is forbidden on the beaches and the dunes. Be careful ! Parking (or any form of obstruction) is also forbidden on the cycle path which parallels the roads.Low Season Rates range from: $900 - $1475 High Season Rates range from: $1850 These rates are for 6 people. $100 per additional person. Adorable little house completely restored in 2010 and typical of the Islands, made with wood materials incorporating both new and old, very bright with an abundance of windows. Known to islanders as the home of Maurice Césaire, it's been a long time since she was there. Located at the foot of the Butte des Demoiselles, overlooking the entire village of Havre-Aubert, it offers a unique perspective on the Bay and the historic site of La Grave and the Ã?le d'Entrée. Joys Of Winter The sea, lagoons, hills and the marine environment of the islands have attracted you in the summer? Imagine the winter! The scenic beauty and authenticity of the Islanders are still at the rendezvous. The only thing missing is you! Because the islands are beautiful whatever the season and the weather and we invite you to experience pristine winter landscape where you practice all activities as original and challenging. Whatever your choice of activity, seal observation, or a guided tour, these will help you discover landscapes of infinite beauty. Every year, the Magdalen Islands are the appointment of wind and slide sports enthusiasts. In winter, the frozen lagoons of the archipelago offer large spaces for sports such as kite skiing. But to better approach the hidden beauty of the archipelago, a cross-country skiing or snowshoeing activity is the best to breathe fresh air and be charmed by the beauties of the Islands. And why not finish by night in a yurt on the enchanting site of the Butte du Vent hill? The Seal Interpretive Centre in Grande-Entrée will offer a visit to explore the world of the seal to familiarize yourself with this fascinating mammal. Enhance your stay by visiting the Musée de la Mer to better understand the components of the "Madelinot" culture. Winter on the Islands is primarily a privileged contact with the Islanders and their traditional sense of hospitality. Take time to talk with the fishermen and take time also to practice ice fishing on the lagoons. Experience also a good time being around the Magdalen Islands as part of carnival festivities or the Mi-Carême.A non-refundable deposit of 30% is required to confirm your reservation.
