Beyond the patios is a 'parron' (grape vine) and table and barbecue area, hammocks, pool and pool house, and the original adobes. And beyond that, nature reaches out in all directions, up to the top of 'Oak Peak' one way, and views across the Central Valley to the snow-capped Andes the other.
If you're looking for peace, quiet, and nature, this is it. The nearby town of Caleu has a limited grocery, and one small restaurant, but that's about it. La Campana National Park is a short drive away, with the charming town of Olmue and it's nice restaurants and fresh fruit stands, or take day trips to Valparaiso and the coast. Or, more likely, just stay put! As Charles Darwin noted about his ascent of nearby La Campana Peak:
"We spent the day on the summit of the mountain, and time never felt so short. Chile, limited by the Andes and the Pacific Ocean, extends at our feet like a vast plain."
