We're just one floor up anyway :) The NeighborhoodGradac is an old fishing town on the beautiful Makaran riviera situated under the steep slopes of Biokovo. It is the biggest tourist resort in the southern Makarska landscape. About 3.261 souls live there, and the economy is based upon agriculture, wine and olive oil production , fishery and tourism.
There are many festivals in the place during the summer, like the traditional "STREET BALL" and ''ADIO LITO (Goodbye To Summer Festival)'', which attract guests from all sides of the riviera. These festivals provide many tourist attractions, like concerts of local artists. Tourists can enjoy themselves in many catering establishments, where they can listen to music and dance on the terraces.
Every year on 29th September people organize a folk festivity in honor of St. Michael, who is the patron saint of Gradac. People attend mass and procession in the morning,closing the day with a big festivity in the evening. Getting AroundThe house is close to the center,sea, beach, restaurant,store,ambulance,post office,tennis courts,bus station. Also Gradac is the southern most touristic locality of the Makarska riviera 40 km away from Makarska, situated halfway between Split and Dubrovnik.You can also take a ferry to the islands ( Hvar,Korčula,Pelješac,Brač-ferry sails from Ploce,Drvenik,Makarska).There is also a lot of excursions which include trips to Dubrovnik,Ston,Mostar,Međugorje,Baćinska jezera,Vodopadi Kravice,.. and of course a trip to the aforementioned islands.
