The SpaceIt's a lovely and light family friendly apartment close to metro, supermarkets, cafes, shopping center (Fredriksberg Centret), parks (fx. Frederiksberg Have) and the Zoo.
The apartment has room for a family with kids (one kids bed and one double mattress) or fx two couples. There are two bedrooms and one living room in connection to the kitchen, and a smaller bathroom. Guest AccessThere is a nice, closed yard just outside the backdoor with grass, benches and playing tools for the kids. Interaction with GuestsIf we are not able to be the there and exchange keys we will arrange with some close friends to meet up with you. The NeighborhoodFrederiksberg is a local, green and friendly neighborhood with a mix of old original shops on Gl. Kongevej and Godthåbsvej, a newer shopping center called Frederiksberg Centret, the metro always running and the cosy cafes and green parks with playgrounds and room for a little refreshment in the city fx. in Frederiksberg Have, Søndermarken or Lindevangsparken.
The Zoo is only a 10 min. walk away from the apartment and is worth a visit if you bring kids or just love animals and want to experience the very old Zoo (with a whole new experience called The Arctic Ring, which is beautiful!!). But you can also get a little Zoo for free, if you go for a walk in Frederiksberg Have you can have a look at the flamingos and the elephants in the Zoo for free, just look at the map or ask someone for the elephants, as you enters the park. From the park on the other side of the road (Roskildevej), called Søndermarken, you can see the zebras and rhinos. The old and beautiful swimming bath, Frederiksberg Svømmehal is also only a 10 min. walk away, and definitely worth a visit on a rainy day fx.. During summer time the playgrounds in Lindevangsparken and the one at Langelandsplads has paddle pools for the kids, which we enjoy very much. Just outside the apartment runs Den Grønne Sti (the green path) which is a long bicycle and walk path that runs through Frederiksberg and Nørrebro. There is also a cinema very close, called Falconer Bio and remember the english movies in Denmark are not dubbed ;-)
Getting AroundThe metro st. Fasanvej is just two minutes from the apartment. With that you can go to Nørreport and Kongens Nytorv, which is the centers of the inner city. You can also hop off on Christianshavn and watch the beautiful, Amsterdam inspired, part of the city where the canals runs and the atmosfere is very nostalgic. When you are out there you can go and se Christiania as well, the old hippie area, that is/was known for its free spirit and free marihuana, there are cosy cafes, nice restaurants, a lot of green areas and just a special ambience.
Last, but not least, the metro goes to and from the airport, which is perfect! It will take you around 25 minutes from you leave the airport till you reach the apartment door.
Are you coming in by train at the central station, Københavns Hovedbanegård, you can catch bus nr. 9A in direction: Glostrup St. and then get of at the stop called: Fasanvej. Then there is a 2 minute walk till you reach the front door.
There are parkings spaces close to the apartment, unfortunate not for free, but you buy a licens in a kiosk or supermarket, and it should be easy peasy. Other Things to NoteOBS! The reviews from 2013 are from our old, and much smaller apartment, just to make sure there are no misunderstandings or confusion ;-) !!
