From town you can take a tricycle for 50 cents or walk about 15 minutes to the beach.
On the beach there are various seafood restaurants and couple of hotels priced around 7-20 dollars a night, per person.
Muisne beach is safe for children, too.
There are no strong currents and it's shallow pretty far. The waves are often good for surfing, depending on the tide.
The beach side is very peaceful. Perfect place for creative or meditative activities and sports.
Those who like the nightlife, have many clubs and bars to choose from in town. During the weekends and Ecuadorian holidays there are some bars and clubs open on the beach side, too.
Getting AroundYou can take a night bus TransEsmeraldas or Occidental from Quito or Guayaquil directly to Muisne for around 10 dollars. In Muisne you get a tricycle around town for 0,50 dollars. Other Things to NoteThere are few friendly cats and dogs. Not suitable for people with allergies.
