The flat is fully furnished and includes all items for a perfectly self catered holiday. There are 3 bedrooms: 2 twin rooms and 1 master bedroom with an ensuite. There is large through lounge, kitchen and a additional bathroom/shower. There is a lovely outside courtyard with a sitting area and an additional garden with a separate sitting area. The flat is clean, includes everything you may need to enjoy your stay including comfortable bedding and mattresses. However, we are more than happy to accomodate anything else you might need to make your stay an enjoyable The villa is close to supermarkets and is close to valley of the kings and hatseshut temple as well as easy access to the ferry to access the east bank

    The Space15 EGP for dorm room, 30 EGP for Single room Actually, I'm not owner, i was just costomer. that owner named mandho works very hard. whenever train comes to Luxor, he's always trying to pick up travellers, the thing is he don't know very well of using online. so i'm trying to help him. the owner is really honest and good. If he's not, i wouldn't have helped him. Guest Accessjust walk along Al Mahata street keeping being at right side of the street. when you face second right side street, turn right and you can see notice of El SaLam Hotel. Interaction with Guestsso much interationc with guests. we are happy to help guests with anything. the owner is not good on the online. when you get off the Luxor train station, you could see mandowh who is owner of this hostel. When you visit Luxor, you quickly learn that all of the tombs and several temples are on the West Bank, but most hotels are in the city on the East Bank! We are on the West Bank where it is much quieter and more convenient. This flat has a three-night minimum stay; for shorter stays, please check out the Howard Carter flat, listed as "Live in comfort with private balcony," or the Seti I flat, "Ground floor Nile flat with garden." Guest AccessAccess to private garden with sitting area and rooftop terrace where you can eat your meals, sunbathe, or just enjoy the view. Wireless internet available for additional charge (see below). Interaction with GuestsFlat owners Ragab and Farag have a combined half-century of experience in the tourism industry. They do not live on-site; there is a caretaker, Ahmed, who is present most of the day. Farag and Ragab are happy to take care of your every need, or leave you completely alone if you prefer. If you enjoy interacting with locals, they will share "shisha" or tea with you and maybe introduce you to their friends! The NeighborhoodFriendly riverfront neighborhood just a few steps from the Nile, with many small shops and riverside restaurants; if you stay a while many of the locals will know you by name. There is a swimming pool available one street over (15 EGP per visit). Nearby mosque often has very talented muezzin. Getting AroundFlat owner Farag will pick you up from the airport and bring you back for your departure, any time of day or night (100 EGP each way unless included in pricing, see above). You can also hire Farag during your stay, or find a taxi or motorboat near your door; the public ferry is in convenient walking distance, as is the local bus station ("buses" are vans used as collective taxis with regular routes). Other Things to NoteFresh ingredients for your breakfast are provided for the first three days of your stay: bread and butter, milk, eggs, yoghurt, coffee and tea. Please let the owners know if you have special requests (such as vegan diet); the usual bread is western-style, but if you ask, they will bring you the locally-made pita (flat bread). For stays of a week or longer, airport pick-up and drop-off and wireless internet are complimentary. For shorter stays, please expect to pay Farag 100 EGP each way for pick-up service (from airport or train station). There is a flat charge of 150 EGP for wireless internet if you wish to use the internet. These amounts can be settled on-site in local currency (so you can always change your mind). We highly recommend using Farag's reasonably-priced pick-up service for shorter stays. Of course there is no obligation to do so, but understand that you will still have some out-of-pocket expenses if you choose to arrive at the flat by yourself; usually you will want a local taxi to bring you to the Nile (30-50 EGP) and then a motorboat to bring you across the Nile (30 EGP). If this is your preference, please consult the detailed map shwoing the exact location of our flat, and we will meet you there at the time you specify. A note on pricing (for the fair-minded traveler): These flats plus the earnings of one cab driver support two families totaling a dozen people. So if you enjoy your stay, please consider a generous tip, keeping in mind what similar accommodations would cost in your home country. Tipping or "baksheesh" is a common cultural expectation in Egypt, so this request is not unique to our flats.     The SpaceDetached Italian Villa consists of two self-catering apartments. One ground floor (Pink) and one on the first floor (Blue). If you are 4 persons, you can have all the Villa for you (2 persons in the Pink flat and 2 persons in the Blue flat). The flat blue, on the first floor, is composed of a beautiful veranda overlooking the Nile, an entrance hall with fully equipped kitchen, a double bedroom and a bathroom with shower and hot water. Air conditioning, heating, laundry, internet and tv are present and functioning. The pink flat is on the ground floor of the villa and consists of kitchen, large living room with TV and sofa, 1 double bedroom and large bathroom with shower. Air conditioning, heating, internet and tv are present and functioning. The villa is located in the West Bank, just a short walk from the Nile and in the air in front of the Temple of Luxor. The location is ideal because the neighborhood is quiet and no noise at night. Can not get better in Luxor. The connections with the Temple of Luxor and then the Souk are very fast and scenic. The crossing of the Nile takes 1 minute and costs between € 0.05 for the collective boat that sails several times an hour, or 1 Euro for a private taxi boat which reaches the other side when you decide. The house is owned by me and therefore is equipped with everything. However, it is run by Mohammed, an Egyptian boy, honest and at your disposal for anything. Mohammed can pick you up at the airport, train or bus station and take you to the Villa at any time and with a fraction of the cost.

    The SpaceI have 2 cottages one is Cottage Dragonfly is a classically decorated self catering private unit, that sleeps 2 adults in the main bedroom and a camping bed and camper cot are available for 2 children. This unit boasts a full kitchen, with a lounge and dining room in open plan. It is very cosy and private with a covered patio. The second is Cottage Praad of De Kaap which sleeps 2 adults and is semi self catering with a small bar fridge, microwave and crockery and cutlery. I then have 2 in house rooms without television with bathroom en suite. Breakfasts can be arranged on request. Self catering is the advantage of Cottage Dragonfly and the privacy. See (URL HIDDEN) We are situated in an Eco Estate 12 km from the Kruger National Park in the Sabi Valley so close to nature yet with all the necessary shopping facilities and restaurants. We are basically in the Lowveld bush. There are many exciting extreme activities in the area like quad biking, river rafting, game drives, elephant sanctuaries, golf, tennis and many other activities. Fishing on the estate is on a catch and release basis. There is an international airport in Nelspruit and car rentals are available. Sabi River Guesthouse is located in the Sabi River Eco Estate, bordering the Sabi River Sun Timeshare Resort, in the heart of the Sabi River Valley. The property lies against the backdrop of the Drakensberg Mountains and the estate is surrounded by the breath taking countryside.       The SpaceThis two bedrooms 2nd floor flat is situated in Fayrouz area, close to the centre and all amenities; restaurants and bars, ideal for leisurely exploration of all that Luxor has to offer. The accommodation comprises of a spacious living room with comfortable sofas, table, satellite TV and a balcony from where you can enjoy colourful sunsets. It is close to some good restaurants including Africa, tasty food, Gezira Garden, Blue Sky, the Tutankhamen. A grocery store and a cafeteria are at the foot of the house. A little shop can washing and ironing your clothes. These restaurant and shops are open late into the night. You will be a 3-minute walk from the Ferry ( local Ferry) which takes you to the temple of Luxor, and the departure of the " Boat Motors " that take you where you want to Luxor, Karnak, Museums, banana island, luxury hotels pools, etc. . You will also be close to taxis and microbuses. The old world charm of the traditional farming life surrounding the villa and friendliness and hospitality of the local people. Interaction with GuestsI will provide information re visits and shopping and have taxi drivers and a boatman available as well as contacts in the souk and cafes nearby for meals, one with a pool . The NeighborhoodI love the nature surrounding my villa, the views to the Nile and mountains of the Valley of the Kings and Queens. Guests could walk in the surroundings, have sunset drinks on the rooftop and dine at the local cafes on the Nile. Getting AroundPickup from the airport, local shopping trips as well as visits to the antiquities in the area can be arranged as I have two excellent taxi drivers. From the local cafe my boatman will pick up guests, take them to the east bank and pick up afterwards. He will take them for a cruise on the Nile, sunset is wonderful. As well as the motorboat he will arrange sailing on his felucca. My friend in the souk will help with shopping. Other Things to NoteBed and breakfast is available for up to 4 nights.

La Rose Cottage is a spacious self catering home perfect for business people on the move, a family home-from-home sanctuary, a young couples holiday getaway and it is also the perfect base for sporting groups participating in nearby events. Built in the late 80's - this home was bought by Jenna Clifford (art jeweller) in 1987 as a holiday home which later became a home to her and her family in 2001. Built in a typical English "arts and crafts" style, the house has a pitched roof with tile hung finish and exposed red brick work on the exterior. Inside the house is comfortable but stylish influenced by modern French decor style - with rich colours and lots of light owing to the bi folding french doors which open onto the undercover patio. Since 2006 Jenna has shared this gem of a place with friends and family who visited the designer from far and wide. Decorated in a true shabby chic style, the home has lots of character and quirky elements which all guests appreciate. The house enjoys an open plan layout with a covered front and back patio, allowing you to enjoy long evenings of alfresco dining outside with lake views and tall mature blue gum tree surrounds. Many of our previous guests have used the Lake House as their Lowveld base when participating in nearby rowing, cycling or mountain biking events. You are a 10 minute drive from the centre of town where local restaurants and general grocery stores can be found. We recommend Oliver's for fine dining with an Austrian menu or Fez at the Bagdad centre for an Asian fusion inspired menu. Nelspruit is approximately 25minutes away by car - Riverside Mall is home to Woolworths, Edgars, Game, Mr Price and plenty of other retail stores of interest. Should you be visiting the Kruger National Park before or after your visit, it is approximately a 60 minute drive to the nearest gate. We are on the West Bank where it is much quieter and more relaxed as well as more convenient to visit the Valley of the Kings, The Valley of the Queens, Colossi of Memnon, Hatshepsut Temple, Medinet Habu Temple, Ramesseum, Papyrus and Alabaster Factories. The accommodation is situated on a quiet back street off the main road where you can find public transport if you don't want to rent a car. Each apartment has a spacious salon, a fully-equipped kitchen, 2 double bedrooms with balconies, and a bathroom. There is also access to the roof terrace with seating and a hammock. Next door to the house are several shops to satisfy all your needs - food, internet, hairdresser, and pharmacy. The place is only 5 minutes walk to the ferry which brings you to Luxor Temple and the city. Luxor Temple is just across from the ferry and the city lies nestled behind the Temple with its big market where you can buy anything you need! Other Things to NoteFresh ingredients for your breakfast are provided for the first three days of your stay: bread and butter, milk, eggs, yoghurt, coffee and tea. Please let the owners know if you have special requests (such as vegan diet); the usual bread is western-style, but if you ask, they will bring you the locally-made pita (flat bread). For stays of a week or longer, airport pick-up and drop-off and wireless internet are complimentary. For shorter stays, please expect to pay Farag 100 EGP each way for pick-up service (from airport or train station). There is a flat charge of 100 EGP for wireless internet if you wish to use the internet. These amounts can be settled on-site in local currency (so you can always change your mind). Other Things to NoteLuxor is not short of breath-taking sights. Among the best are: Luxor Temple - Situated in the middle of town, it's at its most atmospheric at night when the crowds have gone home and the shadows gather between the papyrus columns in the Hippostyle Hall. Karnak - A vast complex of temples, obelisks, sphinxes and very hefty Pharaonic paraphernalia. Every evening there's a Sound and Light show, hailed locally as being one of the finest of its kind in the world. Go if you must, but try Karnak during the day as well. Valley of the Kings - Try to get there early. The sites on the West Bank open at 6am. Be prepared to queue at the most popular tombs: Tutankhamun and Ramses VI. If you can't stand to queue, it's best to head to the far end of the valley where the tombs, such as the unusual tomb of Tuthmosis III, attract fewer people even though they are no less interesting. Ramesseum - Most tourists tend to leave Ramesseum, where lies the fallen colossus of Ramses II (famed by Shelley's Ozymandius), and the temple complex of Medinet Habu on the West Bank till last - and often have to drop them from their itineraries altogether. As a result they're a lot less crowded and better for it. Medinet Habu - The huge and excellently preserved Mortuary Temple of Ramses III, once a haunt of Gustave Flaubert, is of particular interest. It's said Flaubert chose to breakfast there on milk and hard-boiled eggs. Queens Temple of Hatshepsut - Featured on every guided tour, the Temple was heavily restored in the Fifties with East European money and now resembles a Romanian bus depot. The best way to get from one site to another is to walk: tell your driver to meet you later, and take the donkey track with a guide down from the Valley of the Kings to the Valley of the Queens. It is a reasonably arduous climb and will take about an hour, but it's well worth it. The path runs along the top of the huge sandstone escarpment and offers a fantastic view down onto the Temple of Hatshepsut across the Nile. The only drawback is that you are bound to be tackled by souvenir vendors every few hundred yards. Where to shop? The market or souk, on Sharia el-Birka, offers scarves, scarabs, spices, carpets and other local curios. Bargain hard and you should end up paying between half and two-thirds of the original asking price. El Safa Bazar, on Sharia Lahaib Habachi just behind the Luxor temple, is the best jeweller in town. It is also one of the few places where you can't haggle. Where to eat? Some of our favourites which include food from home... Try The Oriental, just by Luxor Temple. The Sheraton does very good pizzas. The Old Winter Palace has two restaurants. The Amoun Restaurant, in the tourist bazaar on Sharia el-Karnak, and The El-Hussein are also recommended.

So, if there is a group of 8, it would be possible to rent both apartments and stay at the same place (= When you visit Luxor, you have to know that all the tombs and several temples are on the West Bank, but most hotels are in the city on the East Bank.... We are on the West Bank where it is much quieter and more relaxed as well as more convenient to visit the Valley of the Kings, The Valley of the Queens, Colossi of Memnon, Hatshepsut Temple, Habu Temple, Papyrus and Alabaster Factories. The accommodation is situated on a quiet back street of the main road where you can find public transport if you don't want to rent a car. Each apartment has a spacious salon, a well-equipped kitchen, 2 double bedrooms with balconies, and a bathroom. There is also access to the roof terrace. Next door to the house are several shops to satisfy all your needs - food, internet, hairdresser, and pharmacy. The place is only 5 minutes walk to the ferry which brings you to Luxor Temple and the city. Luxor Temple is just across from the ferry and the city lies nestled behind the Temple with its big market where you can get anything you need! We're a 10 minute walk to the banks of the mighty River Nile, crossing the newly excavated 2.7 km long "Sphinx Avenue" and passing by the fabulous Luxor Temple on the way. Local shops and restaurants abound! Our neighbourhood is wholly Egyptian! No other foreigners live nearby and most of our neighbours are Muslim, although the area is known more as a Christian area, with a Christian school for boys very close-by and a new 9000 capacity Coptic Church within 300 metres. Getting AroundOur nearest main road carries one-way traffic, and 'hail and ride' public service mini-buses travelling Northwards pass the end of our alley, about 15 metres from our building entrance. Buses travelling Southwards pass along another one-way street which is about a three minute walk away. Taxis and horse carriages are readily available almost anywhere and at almost any time. On three levels, it has five well-appointed bedrooms, each air-conditioned with its own bath/shower room. From the roof terrace, you will look out over banana, date and sugar cane plantations across the Nile to Luxor Temple and The Winter Palace on the East Bank. Just take the ferry (directly in front of Luxor Temple), cross the Nile, hail a taxi and ask the driver to drive you to Villa Kaslan in El Jorf. There is always someone on site to give you the key. Villa Kaslan lies very privately in the middle of date palms, banana plantations, sugar cane- and wheat-fields on the West Bank of Luxor. In the property itself there are a lot of flowers, bushes, lime-, mandarin- and papaya-trees, peppermints, basils... The tranquillity on site is only interrupted by the chirping of the birds during the day and the humming of the crickets in the evening. Despite the quiet location it only takes 25 minutes by foot to arrive in the village of El Gazeera with its bakeries, grocery stores, pharmacies, supermarket, Internet-shops, restaurant and so on. In the same place you will find the ferry, which will take you directly in front of Luxor Temple. Feluccas and motorboats are available as well. If you don't want to walk or don't have the time, it is quite easy - and cheap - to hire a taxi to pick you up in Villa Kaslan and drive you to the Nile. Even closer than the Nile are most of the archaeological sits, for which Luxor is rightly famous. The Valley of the Kings, Medinet-Habu-Temple, the Ramesseum, Colossi of Memnon, Tombs of the Nobles, Hatshepsut Temple and, and, and. All reachable within a few minutes by car. Villa Kaslan is a three storey villa with 24-hour-security and a caretaker on site. We live there too, so someone is always available to hand over the key, in case of problems or requests. Each one of the spacious holiday apartments is situated on a separate floor, so that your privacy is guaranteed even if we are fully booked. We can watch the hot air balloons looming out of the early morning mists to welcome the rising sun, which every day chases the shadows from the Temples of the 'Old Gods'.We have designed our guest apartment to be the realisation of our dreams of the Arabian Nights, of Ali Baba and his 40 thieves and of Aladdin, with his wonderful lamp.You can come and join us, we are right in the middle of it all:Within a minute of leaving our building you can find yourself in the street where all the goldsmiths ply their trade, another couple of minutes and you are in the tourist bazaar (where the descendants of Ali Baba now smile as you willingly hand them your cash!) or crossing it to be surprised by a Franciscan Church. Within 4 minutes of setting off, you can be gazing in wonder at the newly excavated Avenue of Sphinxes leading away from Luxor Temple, the main entrance of which is a further 2 or 3 minutes stroll.If the diversity of modern-day Luxor intrigues you we have Luxors newest Coptic Church about 300 metres away, with a capacity of 9000 (yes, that is nine thousand!!!) and several other Christian churches within 5 minutes of the apartment. There is the Methodist, and the Brethren and the Evangelical Presbyterian. Although all our near neighbours are Muslim, we are almost spoilt for choice as far as churches go. Speaking of our neighbours; you will find them very friendly and helpful. Next door we have old Mr. Mohamed, a sadly retired English guide with more than 60 years of experience! Most of our neighbours spoken English is very good, as they have nearly all been involved with tourism at one point or another during their careers.It takes 10 minutes to walk to the ferry landing on the East Bank, the 1le charge for tourists to cross the Nile to the West is well worth it just for the actual experience. In the opposite direction, you can find the Railway Station and the fancy Tourist Information Centre in about 6 or 7 minutes.Our building entrance is quite deceptive of that which awaits our lucky guests! After climbing the typically Egyptian stairs, we gradually find a semblance of order and civilisation in the calmness which reigns within the "Our Luxor" Apartment. Our supposed competitors may be cheaper; but can never match our value! Once inside the apartment, the entrance hall sets the tone, with its Moorish arch and meshrabeya screen, and antique furnishings on the hand made oriental carpet.Passing through another strikingly ornate arabesque screen one enters the spacious and comfortable living room. Here the beautiful furniture and the exquisite carpet compliment the Arabian Nights dĂŠcor, all individually designed to create a WOW! factor.The large air conditioner keeps this room cool in the summer and warms it during the winter evenings. As well as being great for lounging on, like an old time Pasha, the three dikkehs (Egyptian sofa beds) are also very comfortable to sleep upon, with their full size single mattresses.The walls are adorned with antique pictures and a large antique mirror, as well as colourful wall hangings. The outer wall is taken up with large tinted windows, giving access to the "Smokers Balcony".The television is wired to a Satellite with some 400 or so channels. An additional selection of books is available for the small library. Entering the bedroom, we find the en-suite shower room and W.C. on the left and the in-built wardrobe on the right. This room also has an air conditioner/heater. There is a dressing table and mirror, for your convenience. To the left of the bedroom door, is a separate W.C. and wash basin. The kitchen is equipped with the usual necessities: cooker, fridge, filtered hot and cold running water, stainless steel bowl and drainer, toaster, kettle etc. and is initially stocked with a few "essentials" (Tea, coffee, mineral water, milk and sugar, biscuits and, of course, some chocolate!)As we have found that some holiday makers want the flexibility of a self catering apartment but the convenience of an hotel we offer the option of a substantial breakfast served on our roof terrace.We have WI FI, and for ease of local communication, we also provide a mobile phone.
