The SpaceThis sizable studio apartment within the Louly beach complex [the former Ramada Inn] has a large balcony right next to the ocean. It is furnished, with a queen sized bed, and a comfortable large fold out couch that also sleeps 2. It has high quality appliances including full frig, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, washer and dryer. It also has an air conditioner and heater. Full bath and shower, marble top counters, and satellite TV, but the main attraction is how rare it is to find a ocean front place like this to rent in the area. Anyone who has lived in Cairo for any length of time knows its hard to find a clean beachfront getaway that is only an hour and ten minute drive.
This studio apartment beach chalet is right on the beach. The view is amazing. The Owners Beach is private with fixed wooden umbrellas along the sand. The chalet is on the second floor of 2 floors. The complex also has a huge pool, including wading pool, which owners (and their guests) are entitled to use when in service. Note that the pool may not be open in the off season. The chalet also has a coffeemaker, all the dishes and silverware, bedding, and a few beach items.
Check out is 2:00 p.m. unless otherwise asked!
If you are looking for long term, you would still book month by month in advance, and for a limited time, we would offer the special price of $300 per month, with 30 days notice of cancellation by either party, plus a $300 security deposit up front. Long term stays over a week are only suitable for persons who have access to an automobile, since there is no grocery store within walking distance.
We rent for shorter periods of time, but the minimum total cost per booking must be at least $300 USD or Egyptian LE equivalent due to the expense of hiring professional cleaning staff that must travel from Cairo after each guest.
It's a wonderful place to gaze at the ocean, with gorgeous views from inside, and either on the beach or balcony (there's an amazing view of the mountains from the entry balcony in front as well). It is my dream house, where I travel in reverie, if not in body, when times are tough, and my weekend trips there renewed my spirit in the 5 years my family and I lived in Cairo.
Private owners beach, seasonal pool, full furniture and appliances including TV, dishwasher and washer/dryer, dishes. Guest AccessGuests have access to the private owners beach, pool, full furniture and appliances including dishwasher and washer/dryer, dishes and any beach floats. Interaction with GuestsWe will not have direct interaction with guests during their stay as we live abroad, but there are family members living in Cairo that are around and can help with small issues and key exchanges, and emergency apartment questions. My brother in law, Sameeh, lives in Cairo and manages the chalet for us. He speaks Arabic and English, and is also available to drive groups from Cairo to Ain Sokhna and back for hire in an air conditioned car. If you are interested in this addition, please let me know and we can help arrange. The NeighborhoodA short distance from Cairo, Ain Sokhna is fast becoming one of the top getaway vacation spots on the Red Sea Coast, making it finally possible to combine a short stay in Cairo with some sun & sea fun.
With pristine shores and an air of unmeasured serenity, it's a great place to escape and relax.
Ain Sokhna is a 1 hour and 10 minute easy drive from Cairo. Getting AroundThe only way to get to Ain Sokhna from Cairo is by car. For those without wheels, we have a family member living in Cairo named Sameeh who would be available to drive up to 4 persons to Sokhna and back for $50 each way or Egyptian LE equivalent. Sameeh has driven many of our guests there. Please let me know if you would like to add this option on to your rental. Other Things to NoteAs is the case everywhere in Egypt, there are occasional electrical and water stoppages. These usually resolve themselves without problem, but are noted here as they do occur, and must be expected for any rentals in Egypt.
