The farm’s glamping tents are placed either in the old farm orchard under the trees or among hedgerows. They are perfectly spread out, so you’re guaranteed privacy. Depending on your tent’s placement, you’ll either have views of the lamb paddock or views over Alton and the rolling countryside. Each tent also comes with its own campfire site for cooking meals or toasting marshmallows. (Don’t worry about wood – there are plenty of places for foraging some nearby.) Below you’ll find the two different tents offered described in a bit more detail. The Feather Down Tent: The luxury tents offered at this glamping site measure 45m2 and can comfortably sleep up to six people (maximum of five adults and one child) with a double bed, a bunk bed and a cupboard bed perfect for one adult or two children. Please keep in mind that inside the tent there is no gas or electricity. That being said, you will be provided with almost everything you’ll need. You’ll have plates, pots, pans and serving spoons. You’ll also be provided with bed linens, pillows, kitchen linens and a start pack of lamp oil and candles. You’ll also be provided with wood for heating and cooking. To cook inside your tent, you’ll be able to use the wood-burning stove, and if the weather permits, you can also cook outside on the outdoor cooker.Frills Tent: The Frills Tent is quite similar to the Feather Down tent, except it comes with more luxury. Upon arrival, you’ll find that your beds are made and ready to go. In addition to that, there will be a small welcome surprise waiting for you, too. Everyone will also be provided with towels during their stay. The Frills Tent also comes with an outdoor shower, a hammock for two, your own private hot tub, and a large sofa inside the tent. There is also a canopy above the veranda.

The SpaceA lovely, light filled purpose-built oak framed studio adjacent to but not attached to the main house. The studio is spacious with a large en-suite shower room. We provide tea and coffee making facilities along with a toaster and I provide breakfast items (cereals, bread, spreads etc) at no extra charge. We now have a mini fridge and microwave in the studio so if you need to stay for a little longer, that might make life easier. Guest AccessGuests have independent access to the studio, small private patio in front of the studio and are welcome to wander around the large garden. Interaction with GuestsYou can be as independent as you wish. We obviously live as a family in the main house so we are very happy to help with any issues you may have and with any tips regarding the area. I provide breakfast items in the studio for guests to help themselves. Breakfast is not provided within our main house. The NeighborhoodThe studio is situated under 10 minutes drive from Alton, which is a small market town. We are within walking distance of Medstead and Four Marks Station of the Watercress Line (steam train line -not mainline!) which has many events throughout the year (eg War on the Line, Thomas and Friends, Santa Express etc) and the shops of Four Marks Village. There is a good traditional, village pub approximately a mile away and many others that serve fantastic food, local wines and ales all within a 10 minute drive. We are also less than 10 minutes drive to: Jane Austen's House in Chawton; The Gilbert White Museum in Selborne; Alresford which is a traditional and pretty town with great pubs and restaurants and fabulous walks along the River Arle. Historic Winchester with all of its attractions is 20 minutes away and Stonehenge and Salisbury around an hour's drive. We are a good stop-off point for those walking the St Swithun's Way, well-placed for the South Downs Way for walking and cycling and we are within a 15 minute drive of The Grange Opera and around 10 minutes drive from Froyle Park, a popular wedding venue. For those interested in the now booming English Wine Industry, there is a friendly, award winning winery and vineyard in Wield - Hattingley Valley - who will happily show you around with prior notice. Getting AroundWe're fairly rural. There is a bus stop within 1 mile but they run every half an hour (towards Alton, Farnham and Guildford in one direction and towards Alresford and Winchester in the other) during the week and at the weekend it is reduced to one an hour. The buses stop running in the early evening. It is possible to manage here without a car but it's better to have one. We are well connected by road with easy access onto the A31, A303 (for the West Country), M3 and M25 (for London and other areas). The walk from us to the Watercress Line Station (800m) is an unmade road with fields on either side. It's a pretty walk but can be muddy on wet days! There is a mainline station in Alton (7 minutes drive or 15 minutes by bus) which goes directly to London Waterloo. We are within an hour's drive of London Heathrow and around an hour and a half of London Gatwick. Please note that those timings are estimates. It does depend on the time you arrive due to traffic. Heathrow can take as little as 45 minutes or as long as 2 hours but it's usually somewhere around an hour! Parking is provided on the driveway or on the grass verge of the road if the drive is busy at the time of your stay. There are local taxi services in Alton but remember to book them in advance. It's not like a city where you can hail a cab on the corner! Other Things to NoteWe have a cat and a small, friendly, well-behaved (but slightly mad) dog. Neither of which are allowed in the studio but they are "free-range" in the garden!

Pricing The Owners Direct Pricing/Rate Module is 'defaulted' and limited in its ability to display pricing that deviates in any way from their module. In other words, it does not allow for a more individualistic pricing structure. Even more frustratingly, it is not possible to complete the property information without filling in at least one of their pricing options. Accordingly, we have taken a date at random and entered our minimum price of £150 for the first night. Two nights on the other hand, cost only £170 between October and March, £180 from April to June and £190 in July and August. The following is taken from our website, www.neathambarn.com :- We love long stay bookings, whether it be because you are are seconded to work locally during the week, or perhaps because you need temporary accommodation whilst your own property is being refurbished. Either way, depending on the time of year, we may be able to offer attractive rates for continuous stays of at least a month or longer, so please enquire. For shorter stays, our rates for two persons from October 2016 are as follows:- One night only - £150 (minimum charge) Two (consecutive) nights October to March - £170 April to June - £180 July, Aug, Sept - £190 Additional nights, up to 4 (per night) October to March - £70 April to June, Sept - £90 July, August - £95 A full week (7 nights) October to March - £495 April to June, Sept - £595 July, August - £645 For bookings of two nights or more, a reduction of 20% will be applied to the above prices if the booking is for one guest only. For babies/toddlers in a cot/bed provided by you, there is a flat charge of £5 per night or £25 per week, whichever is the lesser. If the sofa bed is required for a child up to and including twelve years old, there is an additional charge of £15 per night or £75 per week, whichever is the lesser.
