A chic, award-winning Boutique Hotel and Golf Resort, located ten minutes from the M4 and the centre of Bath. This historic house features a beautiful parkland setting and informal dining facilities. The hotel enjoys quiet surroundings, lending to the relaxing atmosphere that allows you to feel truly at rest. Yet situated just four miles north of Bath and ten miles east of Bristol is perfectly placed for ease of travel to the major business links of the South West. Travel is made easy with excellent access to the M4, meaning you can take more time to enjoy the excellent hospitality and envious surroundings of Tracy Park Hotel & Country Club. The bedrooms at Tracy Park are built of warm, honey-coloured Cotswold limestone and are mostly arranged around a charming old courtyard, set behind the grandiose manor house. Every bedroom boasts its own individual finesse and wealth of character, having been redesigned in a stylish, contemporary fashion whilst maintaining country sensibility with supremely comfortable and traditional furnishings. It is this mix of olde worlde charm and modern comfort that truly creates a warming and relaxing setting. The 2AA Rosette restaurant at Tracy Park is an original and fascinating space to enjoy the special fares on offer. With an imported Wood Stone oven to roast fabulous fish, meat and game as well as trademark home-baked breads, signature crudites and traditional desserts your dining experience will be an exceptional diversion from the typical 'fine dining' hotel experience. The dining room is in fact an old stone lodge, once used for Masonic ceremonies, which has fascinating stone carvings that remain a feature to this day. Tracy Park Hotel & Country Club is the setting for two wonderful golf courses and is located in an area of outstanding natural beauty, which stretches for over 240 acres of historic parkland and includes trees that are over 400 years old. Both courses, the Crown and the Cromwell, have their own distinctive character and are recognised as two of the finest in the South-West. The Hotel also boasts excellent conference facilities and can provide professional amenities for your next important meeting or event. The city of Bath is over 2000 years old, and its fascinating Roman Baths are among the best preserved Roman remains in Europe. Bath Abbey is right in the centre of the city, whilst a few minutes walk takes you to the Royal Crescent, the Circus, Pulteney Bridge and many other squares and crescents, all reflecting the elegance of the Georgian period. Visitors can bathe in the newly renovated Thermae Bath Spa, or enjoy the city's lively cultural scene. Bristol, 10 miles to the west of Park Resort, is a large, vibrant and exciting city, where the picturesque harbour winds its way right through the city centre. Famous Bristol attractions include the SS Great Britain, the Clifton Suspension Bridge, At-Bristol, the Bristol Industrial Museum and the British Empire and Commonwealth Museum. Some of the finest stately homes in the country, such as Dyrham Park, Stourhead and Longleat, as well as historic sites such as Stonehenge and Glastonbury, are all within easy reach of Tracy Park Hotel & Country Club. The SpaceOur bright house has been lovingly altered, keeping lots of original Victorian character but adding tons of light and space. We have huge doors in the kitchen/diner and utility that open up the whole wall to the south facing garden, providing a really sunny aspect. There's plenty of on street parking right outside the front door. Your large room is on its' own floor, keeping it nice and private, with an en suite shower room. Shampoo and shower products are provided. The king size bed has a super comfy mattress, and the blackout blinds make it nice & dark so you'll never want to get up! With that in mind, tea and coffee making facilities are provided in the bedroom so you can start the day with a nice cuppa in bed. There are books for you to read during your stay, and we have plenty more to choose from in the living room. There'a a large comfy sofa in your room for relaxing, and we're adding a desk for anyone who wants to do some work whilst they are here. When you do decide to get up tea, coffee, juice, cereals, toast, jams and spreads are provided to help yourself to. If you'd like eggs just let us know & we can happily accommodate. Special diets such as gluten free can also be catered for. I've been perfecting my home baked gluten free bread so feedback is always welcome! A full English breakfast (meat or vegetarian) can be arranged for a modest sum, perhaps even dinner if you'd like. We can accommodate a travel cot in the room for no extra fee, or additional guests in another room (for a fee) if needs be. Just let us know in advance & we can usually work something out. We have a small springer spaniel/poodle cross (known as a Spoodle) called Pickle who lives with us. She doesn't shed her fur, which means she shouldn't cause problems for people with dog allergies. She's very friendly and bouncy and will probably try to cuddle you! We now also have a small person, Rafael. He’s so good no visitor (yet) has heard him at night. Rafa says he’s looking forward to meeting you. Guest AccessGuests have access to all communal rooms and the garden. Smoking is not permitted inside but we're happy for you to do so in the garden or out the front. If you wish to use the kitchen just let us know. We have a washing machine which we're happy for you to use for a small fee. There is fast wifi accessible at all times for you to use. Interaction with GuestsRory and I are both very friendly, chatty people. We would be happy to tell you all about the local area, as well as the rest of Bristol and surrounds. However, we appreciate everyone needs their space so we will be led by you. The NeighborhoodWe love the sense of space here, having moved from a much more cramped neighbourhood across town recently. Everyone is so friendly and there are a lot of creative people around. We hope you'll find it a home from home. We have Arnos Vale, a beautiful 45 acre Victorian cemetery and park, on our doorstep which is great to walk around and often has music events, wood workshops, yoga and more going on! Bristol is very hilly & we're right at the top of a big hill. This is great for giving us brilliant views over the city, but means walking home/cycling from town can be a bit of a workout so be prepared! We are on the Knowle/Totterdown borders and have a load of shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants a few minutes walk away. Whether you want a quiet pint, award winning pizza, great coffee, or music and dancing, it's all here! Yet with the house off the main road you can come home to peace and quiet. Getting AroundLess than 5 minutes walk away you have access to buses going in to town (a few stops away) or towards Bath. If you have a bicycle it takes literally moments to cycle to town (being down a big hill)! Buses stop at Temple Meads station, or the walk is about 15-20 minutes. The airport is roughly 25-30 minutes drive away. Other Things to NoteWe have a young baby, Rafael. He is very good & sleeps well at night so you shouldn't be disturbed!

On street parking is quite easy and bus stop is 100 metres away. Sometimes I'll cook a supper for everyone while you play DJ and sometimes I'll leave a key and we'll only meet in passing. Sometimes I'll show you a map of Bristol's attractions and sometimes I'll be able to drive you around and we'll have time to drink cider together by the river. Yes. Main bus route into the city centre just 100 metres away. Dogs etc by agreement. Guest AccessYour room, the bathroom, the kitchen, the dining room, the sitting room, the garden, the books, the music, the DVDs, the Tv, the board games, the maps, the guide books. the house is yours while you're here, other bedrooms are the only private spaces. Interaction with GuestsThis is a very flexible and variable thing! Sometimes if I'm here we get to spend time eating and drinking and playing Cluedo and sometimes guests come while I'm out town or out of the country and I don't see them. I work from home but work doesn't use up much of my time. The NeighborhoodHanham is a quiet, nice, respectable suburb of Bristol, there are shops, pubs, cafes and a post office within a two minute walk and parking is easy. Bristol, with everything that a big, vibrant city holds is just a quarter of an hour away and if you go east Bath and it's Georgian splendour is just half an hour. it's a pleasant spot. Getting AroundBus stop on main route into the centre of Bristol about 200 metres. Visitors who've bought all day tickets report that getting around by bus from here works. The SpaceThe character of the cottage, the surrounding area and my friendly welcome I hope! Guest AccessMost of the cottage and the Summerhouse with views of the Kelston Hills. Interaction with GuestsIf they need anything I am happy to help The NeighborhoodThe walks down by the river are stunning. There are numerous pubs on the weirs with a collection of canal boats and picturesque scenery. Getting AroundBuses run every 15 minutes to both Bath and Bristol from outside the cottage. The buses are less frequent in the evening. I am 5 minutes to the cycle path which provides a beautiful 'flat' route between Bath and Bristol with picturesque views. Other Things to NoteThe cottage is situated on the A4. There is some road noise but it doesn't seem to bother most guests and friends that stay over.

The SpaceThe room is in an old Victorian house and has views across Bristol to the famous Suspension Bridge. This looks fantastic at night with all the lights. The house is set over 3 floors and has a cosy lounge with fire, a second reception room with a logburner and a lovely kitchen downstairs which leads out into the garden. There is a bbq and bench seating area and plenty of blankets to spread out onto. The bathroom has a bath only (there is a shower attachment but it is not very powerful), but there is lots of hot water and bubble bath. Your room has just been redecorated and freshly painted white. There is a table and chair in the room as well as hanging space. The house is very homely; it's more very relaxed and shabby chic than perfection. There is wifi and cable and films on demand. There a quite a few walk books for the area that you are welcome to borrow. I live in the house and may well be there when you stay. I am away a lot of weekends, but generally there in the weeks. Guest AccessGuests are welcome to use the rest of the house as they would their home. So guests have access to the lounge, kitchen and garden. All areas including the bathroom are shared with myself and anyone else who is staying at the time. Interaction with GuestsIt's up to you. I aim to be there to let guests in personally and show them around. I'm generally around in the house in the week and often away at the weekend but it just depends. It's lovely to chat and have glass of wine with guests who fancy it, and if you just want to chill out in your own space then that's totally fine with me too. If you need any tips on things to do or places to see then I'll help out as much as I can. The NeighborhoodThe neighbourhood is friendly and welcoming; most houses are Victorian like mine, but the ones opposite are old miners cottages from the 1860's. Much of community life centres around Victoria Park which is a large lovely green space at the end of my road. It has a children's play area, a lovely little café that you can dash to for bacon sarnies in the morning and great views across Bristol. There are several fantastic local pubs serving food ranging from relaxed pie and mash to a mediaeval banquet style food, or wood fired pizza's. Most guests experience the wonderfully friendly local 'The Windmill' at least once. There is a city farm a few minutes walk away as well and a meander into the centre of Bristol takes you through the park and you can choose to go easily along the harbourside to see the best of beautiful Bristol. Getting AroundThe house is about 15 minutes walk to the main Bristol train station (taxi is about £7), 2 minutes walk to the local Bedminster station, 15 minutes walk into the centre of Bristol or to the funky bars and restaurants on North Street in Southville. From Bristol Airport, most guests catch the bus (£7) which has a stop about 5 minutes walk away, or it's also about £25 in a taxi. There is free parking on my road and the surrounding ones. My house is also on a hill - Windmill Hill! - which means excellent views but also a good climb if you are walking up. Other Things to NoteIt's my home so if you are after hotel style facilities then it might not be for you, it's more of a good friendly house share with a smile to greet you. If you think you would like to stay, please tell me a bit about yourself and what you are doing in Bristol first. I've had fantastic experiences with guests so far and I always appreciate having a little bit of information in advance. There is a local cat that sometimes pops in to say hello. Children are very welcome to come and stay, and the house is dog friendly too. The 7 dogs that have stayed have not left any individual reviews but I think they had a good time, well I enjoyed hosting them at least.

The NeighborhoodMy neighbourhood is a vibrant and diverse, the home of many cultures, and includes also artists, musicians, environmentalists. I value and have been taken an active part in this community for many years. There is a park and children's adventure playground and a church at the end of my street. I am an active member of the edible garden community in St Pauls and Bristol, in lauding Incredible Edible, PLANT@St Agnes Park, St Pauls Edible Adventures. Getting AroundInterestingly there is no bus service that brings you into the heart of St Pauls. I am taking this up with council representatives. However my home is within a short walk of the city and it various shopping quarters and importantly the central bus and train stations. I can recommend a good local taxi service. Cost from bus and train stations, £5/£7. From city centre, £7, from Clifton, £8/£10. The SpaceWe have a lovely cottage in Bitton, a pretty, classically 'English' village positioned between Bath and Bristol. It is just 10 mins drive to central Bath and 20 to central Bristol. Our house dates back to the 1700's but was renovated 2 years ago and now provides modern, very comfortable living, There are 3 bedrooms ; one with a king size bed, one child's room and the smallest is our baby's nursery with cot. We do have a fourth but prefer to use this to store our belongings and usually use this for laundry, however it does have a single bed in it so please enquiry if you'd like to use this room as well. The downstairs area is semi-open plan and we have a log burner, triple glazed sash windows, under floor heating, range cooker, automatic bathroom light sensors and rain sensors for the automatic skylights. There is a bathroom upstairs and a shower room downstairs, both with power shower cubicles. We have dishwasher, washing machine and wifi. In the living area there are books, DVD’s, an ipod dock and games and the TV has freeview and digital radio. We have a private parking space at the property, actually two, but we use one! Happy to leave both available if required. We also have 2 Pekin hens that live in a coop in our garden and provide one or two fresh eggs a day in summer. We can arrange for someone to have them while we are away or can leave them if you're happy to let them out in the morning, feed them, collect eggs and lock them in at night! Our home is very family friendly with toys, a small trampoline, a slide, (all toddler sized) and sandpit but is also very suited to couples. It is very safe, well insulated and cosy and we have wonderful, friendly neighbours who would be pleased to help you with any queries. We have a high chair, cot, changing mat, stair gate and any other baby paraphernalia you can think of for you to use! Our property lies at the entrance to the most desirable area of the village. To one side is the Bath road which takes you directly into central Bath, and on the other side is the pretty church lane which leads you to the 11th century church, St Marys whose bells you can hear throughout the village. Next to the church are fields, farms and horses! Bitton is an ancient village, featured in some of John Betjeman's poetry and is the birthplace of author Dick King Smith and actress Richenda Carey, home to artist Kate Ward and television presenter Noel Edmonds. The Grange, by St Mary's Church, was once the home of Jane Seymour, one of the wives of Henry VIII. There is an excellent farm shop up the road and a corner shop just over the road from us. Nearest supermarket is in Keynsham, a five min drive. There are lovely walks and the Bristol to Bath cycle track for cycling enthusiasts. There is a fantastic Bath ales pub, The Swan, just a 5 min walk up the road. It serves great food and has a large garden and play area. Bath, obviously has all manner of attractions and we would be very happy to leave suggestions for visits to both Bath and Bristol and any other info you might require. We will provide milk, tea, coffee and a welcome basket with fruit, cereal, bread, croissants etc. There will be fresh, Egyptian cotton bed linen and towels for your use as well as a welcome pack with information about sightseeing and local amenities.
