The SpaceMagic Cottage is a pretty wooden cabin in the peaceful walled garden of our 16th Century stable block house. It can be made up with a very comfy super kingsize bed or twins. The cabin catches the morning sun, so it's lovely to open up the doors and let the light flood in, or sit outside on the decking and enjoy the sunshine. Magic Cottage has a seating area with sofa, coffee table and TV with Freeview. It has a microwave, fridge, kettle, toaster and sink in the kitchen area and a gas barbecue with side burner on the deck but no full cooking facilities. So you can keep some wine and nibbles cool in the fridge, put together a picnic, warm up a ready meal, or cook up a barbecue or full English for breakfast, but not rustle up a slap up meal. It also has an en suite shower room, and a terrace to enjoy the sun in the mornings, as well, of course, as a very comfy bed (superkingsize or two singles if you would like it set up as twins). The cabin is built from recycled materials and everything we do follows an eco philosophy, including organic shampoo, shower gel and soap. The essentials are there for when you arrive - tea, coffee, sugar, milk for a cuppa, and oil, salt and pepper for cooking. For chilly weather, there is a really efficient wood burning stove style electric heater in the cabin that takes no time to heat up the room. It makes it really cosy, and gives off a warm flickering glow to create a lovely atmosphere, especially with the lights down low. It even has a remote control so you can turn it on from your bed in the morning, so it is lovely and warm before you step from under the covers, and off after you climb in at night! In the winter we also put in a small oil filled electric radiator for background heat, which can be left on low all the time if it’s chilly. We don't provide breakfast, but there is a good little shop under 10 minutes' walk or two minutes' drive away open from 7am til 11pm. It's a Co-op with with fresh fruit and veg, meat, wine, beer and most things you could need for your stay. Even fresh croissants baked on-site every morning, which you can bring back warm from the oven. The gas bbq is easy to flash up and cook whatever you fancy for breakfast. There are Chineese and Indian takeaways that deliver, and fish and chip shops to eat on the deck or take to the beach. There are also a couple of good pubs nearby, and some excellent cafes (we are coffee feinds, and can point you in the right direction for the best coffee). You can also drive along the seafront to Gosport and catch the ferry to Portsmouth where you can visit the HMS Victory, HMS Warrior and the Mary Rose at the Historic Naval Dockyard and museums, or visit Gunwharf Quays with restaurants, bars, cinemas, bowling and outlet shopping. Much better than driving into Portsmouth, and more of an 'adventure'. We also run a kitesurfing school, so this is the perfect place to come and stay for a kitesurfing break or course. We have a portacot available for little ones, or you can book our glamping tent next to Magic Cottage if you have more in your family/group. Our standard check in time is after 3pm and check out before 11am. Though we do try and be flexible if we can, so sometimes you may be able to arrive earlier or leave later, but please can you arrange with us in advance. Please note that we spend the UK winter in New Zealand (see our other listings!). Our neighbours manage Magic Cottage for us, so it is still available to the same high standard. However, it may mean that I can't answer questions or enquiries during the UK daytime, as I will be in NZ asleep! I will get back to you when I wake up (UK evening time). So please don't think I am ignoring you, or that Magic Cottage is unavailable. Of course, you can still book in the normal way over airbnb, and I will accept your booking when I come online. I hope you can come and stay! Zoe

The SpaceA unique property where you can sit back and watch the comings and goings on the busy Solent and across to the Isle of Wight. The view at night is breathtaking when the twinkling lights across the water turn everywhere into Fairyland - so remember to keep the curtains open! Private lawn to the front and rear of the property, and no through traffic. Walk part of the Solent Way along the beach - no need to get into your car first! Or stay on site and enjoy a swim in the sea or the heated on site swimming pool.(you need a pass for this pool for which there is a daily charge available from Reception). We and our children love to swim in the sea when the tide is in as it is right on our doorstep, but it is not for the faint hearted - the beach has large boulders rather than sand or pebbles - but with old shoes on to protect your feet it is fabulous and as clean and safe as anywhere else. We have every home comfort. A separate shower room with toilet and a bathroom with toilet. There is a modern kitchen area with cooker, microwave and fridge. There is television and wi fi. Parking is easy, in our own drive way. You really need a car if you want to go anywhere, although there is a small shop on the site and an attractive Clubhouse where you can dine or just enjoy a drink with both locals and holidaymakers. A day trip to the Isle of Wight is easy from here on one of the many ferries that run all the time either from Portsmouth, Southampton or Lymington. Either leave the car at the Port and go as a foot passenger, or take the car with you to explore the island fully. Guest Accessno stairs and space for two cars outside in the drive Interaction with GuestsWe will contact you before you arrive and give you any information you need. The chalet will be all ready for you and we will text a key safe code which will be unique to you. You can then get in at a time that suits you best - just let me know if you need to get in earlier than the designated 2 pm check in as more often than not this won't be a problem. The chalet is tucked away on the beach at the end of a long lane, with speed humps, so it's always worth having my directions to hand - and you do need to arrive by car! but I am only ever a phone call away and can easily talk you through anything. The NeighborhoodThis is a quiet and very friendly holiday park. Some people live here permanently and others are second home owners. The place revolves around sailing, and if you have your own boat, there is place to keep it behind our chalet, and there is a slipway allowing you access to anywhere on the Solent. Cowes on the Isle of Wight is just 5 miles across the water, or you can head west towards Southampton Water and the docks, or east towards Portsmouth harbour and historic shipyard. Getting AroundYou really need a car if you want to go anywhere, although there is a small shop on the site and an attractive Clubhouse where you can dine or just enjoy a drink with both locals and holidaymakers. The cabin is built from recycled materials and everything we do follows an eco philosophy. The essentials are there for when you arrive - tea, coffee, sugar, milk for a cuppa, and oil, salt and pepper for cooking. There is a good little shop under 10 minutes' walk or two minutes' drive away open from 7am til 11pm. It's a Co-op with with fresh fruit and veg, meat, wine, beer and most things you could need for your stay. Even fresh croissants baked on-site every morning, which you can bring back warm. See kitesurfuk.com for more information on the kitesurfing.

I would like to show you some reviews for the house. They are from guests who stayed at the house using another website: Luisa is a thoughtful owner, you will find a charming very well equipped, clean and comfortable house. All which you would need will be supplied: linen, internet, salt, oil, toilet paper... everything :)We spent a very pleasant week end in this house. October 2013 Luisa is very friendly and courteous. She prepared a great written description of the house and the leisure opportunities in Warsash and the region. She was still willing to answer all our questions spontaneously. The house is very lovely, with modern furniture, absolutely clean and comfortable. Nothing to complain about. We've spend a great time and hope to come back for longer to have more opportunities to discover the wonderful country. August 2013 Luisa (our host) was really nice with us when we arrived. The house is great, it is surrounded by a very quiet neighborhood and it is ideally located to visit the south of England. The nice garden is a also a joy when you need to rest after a long day of visits. We do recommend spending a day 'or 2) on the isle o Wight and a full day in the old town of Salisbury (the cathedral is a must see !) August 2013 Excellent hosts. Fantastic location for exploring the south coast of England. Superb house and garden for relaxing in. Loved it! July 2013 . Very practical and clean. Quiet. Relaxing garden. Easy drive to beaches, Meon Valley, New Forest, Winchester, Chichester, Porthsmouth, Southampton, South Downs Way, all nearby. . Lovely pubs serving good food and beers. Good for sailing cycling walking, relaxing.

Magic Cottage is a pretty wooden cabin privately set in the peaceful walled garden of our 16th Century stable block house. Our lovely 4m bell tent set up next to the cabin, offers a very special glamping experience. The cabin provides all the facilities and the tent provides an extra room. The cabin and the tent together can be used to sleep four people very comfortably, and more if they are kids. Both can be made up as singles or doubles (super kingsize in the cabin), so the combinations are many. Just right for families, friends or couples to spend a peaceful, relaxing time together. Magic Cottage catches the morning sun, so it's lovely to open up the doors and let the light flood in, or sit outside on the decking and enjoy the sunshine. The cabin has a seating area with sofa, coffee table, TV with Freeview. It has a microwave, fridge, kettle, toaster and sink in the kitchen area and a barbeque on the deck but no full cooking facilities. So you can keep some wine and nibbles cool in the fridge, put together a picnic, warm up a ready meal, cook up a barbeque, or make toast or cereal for breakfast, but not rustle up a slap up meal. The tent has a double bed and futon chair that can be made up as a single bed, and shares the other facilities with the cabin, which is built from recycled materials and everything we do follows an eco philosophy. The essentials are there for when you arrive - tea, coffee, sugar, milk for a cuppa, and oil, salt and pepper for cooking. We also run a kitesurfing school, so this is the perfect place for experienced kitesurfers to come and stay for a kitesurfing break or for beginners to do course. Shop and pub within 5 minutes walk. Cafes and more shops, pubs and restaurants within 20 minutes walk or 5 minutes drive. Beautiful bell tent and cosy wood cabin. Each sleep 2 and can be set up as doubles or singles. Cabin has shower, toilet, mini kitchen, bbq, seating area, TV/DVD & sunny deck. True glamping - no sharing with other campers. Perfect for families, small groups or 2 couples.

Part of a beautiful 450 year old converted stable block, The Stables has a lovely feel about it. Just one of those relaxing, happy places. There is a large open plan kitchen, dining and living area in the main part of the barn, with high ceilings, oak beams and cobbled floors - so does have a rustic feel. A wood burner adds warmth and atmosphere if the evenings are a little chilly, though there is full central heating for the cooler months, and the large gas range cooker in the kitchen, makes catering a joy.The double bedroom has fireplace with electric wood burning stove effect fire, giving a romantic and cosy glow, and access to a rear patio with bbq and outside seating. There is a wet room lined with travertine marble and pebbles underfoot in the shower. The second bedroom is in a more modern extension, and and is a little bit work in progress, but offers a bunk bed with a double at the bottom and single on top, plus a cabin bed for a little one, so it could sleep a couple and two kids, or two single adults/older kids plus one child, or three kids.
