Inside, the brand new kitchen has all the conveniences including a washer/dryer, dishwasher, ceramic hob, fan oven, microwave etc. The lounge features a 32" TV/DVD player with Free-view, an electric 'wood-burning' stove for chilly evenings and two comfy sofas. The setting is beautiful - 7 acres of garden including a lake which guests are welcome to enjoy... birds, deer, foxes, badgers and rabbits share the garden. Guest AccessGarden for wandering, garden room for breakfast and a lovely big bed/sitting room for you to make your home during your stay! WiFi available, 16" TV in the room. Fordingbridge in turn sits on the edge of the New Forest with plentiful walks and free roaming horses, pigs, cattle and deer. Cathedral city of Salisbury is 25 minutes drive North and seaside town of Bournemouth is 25 minutes South. Getting AroundBuses do run from Fordingbridge both north and south and I can fetch from the bus stop but a car would be ideal for exploring. Other Things to NoteThe room is in the roof and therefore there is limited headroom on the sides of the room - the ceiling is normal height but the sides slope so someone tall might have to crouch a little when they get into bed! The wet-room is at the bottom of the stairs. There are two triangular windows that are impossible to cover (I've tried various ideas) so light does come in in the mornings.

The Stable is also an ideal base for cycle enthusiasts - there are lots of routes for both road bikes and mountain bikes. The Spinnaker Sailing Club and Moors Valley Country Park with Go Ape Tree Top Adventure are close by. Whatever the weather, get away from it all and come to The Stable to relax - in summer you can sit out on the private patio area and enjoy a sundowner and - British weather permitting - even dine al fresco! They can be a chance to begin riding or to improve existing skills, whether that be on the flat, jumping or a bit of both. Ringwood Ringwood, with its market charter dating back to 1226, has plenty to offer visitors throughout the year. A newly converted, pet-friendly holiday cabin in a peaceful rural setting with it's own private, dog-proof garden. No traffic, no street lights, plenty of space and lovely wooded walks in all directions. 'Cabin' somewhat undersells the accommodation but it is on one level and is beautifully appointed. Perfect for families and romantic couples seeking a rural idyll to get away from it all. The large, private west-facing garden is a sun trap and perfect for barbecuing as the sun goes down. The bedroom is a generous double room with a private bathroom. Cosy and welcoming, you will often be able to hear and see owls, deer, badgers and numerous other wild things from your rooms. Guest AccessGuests will have sole use of the top floor (their bedroom and bathroom). Plus guests can use the sitting room with log burner, kitchen or study whenever they choose. Our dog (Gilly) will be keen to say hello when you first arrive but it is up to you to come and go as you choose. We are happy to provide local recommendations and introduce you to the local area. We also won't be offended if you want to be left alone in peace. The NeighborhoodThe quiet rural location of the property provides total calm, peace and quiet and yet we are 15 minutes from Salisbury and 30 minutes from either Bournemouth or Southampton. The village is very friendly with plenty of opportunities for country walks. We have a great (thatched old English) pub 5 minutes walk from the house. Getting AroundThere is no public transport in the village at all, but we have bikes you can borrow and will be happy to give you a lift if we are around. Other Things to NoteWe have a very friendly old dog (ex rescue) called Gilly. She loves all humans but can become scared if you shout at her- she really is at the heart of our family and so will welcome you like an old friend if you are kind to her. She is very well behaved -unless she sees a rabbit. We do not allow other pets to stay though - sorry.
