Funky cottage with all amenities in National Nature Reserve Burnham Beeches with use of pool (closed in winter) in a private gated house. Could sleep family of four with use of sofa bed. Great walking in five hundred acres of Ancient woodland.

Pinewood film studios are a short drive, where the sets and filming of James Bond has taken place Gyms , Golf courses are plentiful very close by We are in walking distance of the village shops, restaurants, coffee shops and amenities. Feel free to use our fridge in our kitchen to store any perishable items of food. We provide clean bedding and towels which are changed weekly for stays over a week. Toiletries provided; shower gel, bubble bath and shampoo. There is a television and sky box in the room as well as in the lounge. There's a double wardrobe for your use in the bedroom. We want you to feel at home as we would want to feel if we were guests in someone's home. There are shops, including a small Tesco and Sainsbury's which are open until late as well as lovely restaurants, coffee shops and very good pubs within a few minutes walk and also burnham beeches for its beautiful walks and wildlife. Getting AroundThere are buses on the high street which is a two minute walk away. Buses go to Slough and High Wycombe and Beaconsfield. There is off street parking if you have a car. Slough train station is approx 3 miles away. Also local taxi service which we've always found very reliable and reasonably priced. We are close to the M4 and M40 motorways. Other Things to NoteWe are a male couple and welcome all people to be our guests. Clean bedding and towels provided which will be changed weekly for any booking over a week.       The SpaceThe size of the room and the quiet setting make this room really special. The plain white decoration and neutral carpet make the room seem even bigger. There are 3 velux windows, all with black out blinds so you sleep well and 2 radiators to ensure you are warm. There is a pine desk, pine book shelves, pine chest of drawers, faux leather tub chair, an easy chair, bedside drawers to match the bedhead, a matching chest of drawers on which the 32" TV stands and fitted cupboards. Please note that a small amount of the cupboard space is occupied with personal possessions. The ensuite has modern white fittings with a 850mm corner shower cubicle, radiator/towel rail, mirrors, shaver light and velux window. The M25 and M40 are within a 10 minute drive so the accessibility to Slough, Uxbridge, High Wycombe and Watford is easy. The Metropolitan tube line has stations at Chalfont and Latimer, Chorleywood, both 10 mins drive, and Gerrards Cross station is 5 mins drive. It is also within a 10 minute walk of shops and pubs and there are fields and woods within a short stroll. Chalfont St Peter offers the best of everything! Guest AccessGuests have access to the loft room, the ensuite shower room and if convenient, guests may also request to use the bath in the adjoining bathroom. Interaction with GuestsWe hope that guests feel comfortable staying in our home but we do not wish to be intrusive as we value our privacy as much as many guests value theirs. However, we will socialise if this is desired. My husband speaks Italian. The NeighborhoodChalfont St Peter is a fantastic neighbourhood to live in. It really has the best of everything. The heart of the village with its pubs, shops and restaurants is about a mile from our house but there are pubs and shops closer. There are lovely walks in the fields and woods nearby. Road accessibility is excellent with the A413 following the Misbourne Valley to Aylesbury and Amersham in one direction and Denham and the M40 and M25 in the other direction. There are also many country lanes, often used by locals as shortcuts to Watford, Rickmansworth High Wycombe and beyond. The Metropolitan line underground stations at Rickmansworth, Chorleywood and Chalfont and Latimer are all about 4 miles away and the Chiltern line has stations at Denham Golf Club and Gerrards Cross just 2 miles away. It is about a 20 minute drive through lanes to Pinewood Studios at Iver. Getting AroundThe opportunities to get around are excellent. Buses provide links to Slough and Amersham and the tube stations at Chalfont and Latimer, Chorleywood and Rickmansworth are on the Met line to London Aldgate. The Chiltern line rail service provides a fast connection from Gerrards Cross to London Marylebone and also to Beaconsfield, High Wycombe and beyond. The motorway network locally cannot be better. J17 of the M25 at Maple Cross is 5 minutes drive along lanes and the M40/M25 interchange at Denham is only 10 minutes away. There is a convenient service station at J3 of the M40 near Beaconsfield also about 10 minutes drive. Other Things to NoteThe rest of the house is currently occupied by ouselves ( a couple) and our 28 year old son. Our 22 year old student daughter lives in the other loft room and she uses the upstairs bathroom when she is at home (not often). 3 cats also live in the house.
