The SpaceOne of our first visitors wrote "so gently and thoughtfully put together to fit exactly into its surroundings, Filled my heart with song!" We stayed in 5 other huts around the country whilst researching before we built our huts and we learned what worked and what didn't! . So you will find: a very comfortable kingsize bed made up for you, a drop-leaf oak table (you might need the extra floor-space sometime) a drop-leaf shelf by the bed, for that morning cup of tea 2 comfortable chairs for when you want to sit inside a wood-burner to keep it toasty warm sheepswool insulation and ecological paints wide steps leading up (narrow ones can be difficult to balance on) wooden decking between the huts so you don't get your feet wet. well equipped kitchen hut with table and chairs gas hob and grill coldbox big enough to hold a bottle of champagne that keeps things cold for at least 3 days (and we can supply more icepacks if necessary) kitchen sink big shower with gas-heated water Swedish "separett" toilet BBQ lovely firepit with an oak bench chairs and table on the decking and of course led lights strong enough to read by that run off solar powered batteries (plus one socket for charging your mobile phone or tablet). We will send you a list of everything else we provide when you book. Guest AccessYou can access the huts down our pretty but bumpy and sometimes muddy farm lane. We will take your luggage (and you too if you wish) either in the landrover or a tractor. The alternative route is over 2 fields. You might have to share your field with some sheep but the huts have their own fenced off area. We will give you a map of the farm and you are free to wander our fields and woods. We will let you know if at the time there are any fields you cannot go into for any reason. Interaction with GuestsWe live in the farmhouse and will take you down to the huts. We will not come and disturb you, but are always happy to help you in any way, or to show you around the farm. Let us know if there is anything we can do for you! The NeighborhoodThis is one of the undiscovered areas of Cornwall. We are set between Dartmoor (in Devon) and Bodmin Moor and between the North and South coasts. The Tamar valley is very unspoilt and very beautiful. This is the perfect place for exploring West Devon or most of Cornwall. Getting AroundPublic transport is not good. There are buses to Launceston and Plymouth every 2 hours but only during the day. There is safe parking for your car in our farmyard.

The SpaceA bright self-contained studio between Launceston and Bude with stunning rural views. Located in a secluded, elevated position between the moors and beaches of North Cornwall, it is perfect for a couple of nights away or a holiday. Although listed as sleeping 4, this is really a 2+2, suitable for a couple with up to two small kids on the sofa bed. The studio is a conversion of what used to be my recording studio. It is bright and airy with views of the garden and over surrounding fields to the distant hills of Bodmin Moor. Access is through the studio's own front door. There is a double bedroom with a king size bed and en-suite shower room. From here guests can access the private decked balcony at the rear through the stable door which is the perfect spot for morning coffee or watching the sun go down with a bottle of wine. The fully equipped kitchen/sitting room provides a comfy living area with TV/sound system and a double sofa bed. There is electric underfloor heating and hot water. Free broadband wifi is available with average speed of around 4Mbps. There is plenty of off/on road parking in our quiet lane which has no through traffic and serves only the farm and a couple of houses. If you need the buzz of traffic to lull you to sleep this is the wrong place for you! Your decking is private but leads to the family garden which you are free to enjoy. The immediate area is very child friendly with various swings in the garden and the narrow lane running between the fields to the farm. Either Steve or Sally (sometimes even both, depending on work) is usually around and we are happy to help in any way we can, or are equally happy to leave you to your own devices. We will provide you with a welcome pack to include fresh bread, butter, milk, cereals and local free range eggs together with a selection of teas and fresh coffee. We are also happy to do an advance shop for you if you let us know your requirements. We have a good knowledge of the local area, Steve having been here since 1991, and are happy to recommend destinations for days out and activities. The property is 15 minutes drive from the main A30 Launceston junction and is easy to find up our little tarmac lane - no muddy farm tracks to deal with! The local area is very rural and fairly off the main tourist track. There are miles of footpaths and quiet lanes for walking and cycling, and further afield the beaches of North Cornwall for surfing or sandcastles, Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor for walks and views, and the pretty fishing villages of the south coast for ice creams and restaurants. Our nearest beach is Crackington Haven on the north coast, approximately a 25 minute drive. Launceston is 5 miles away for supplies from the local shops and the usual supermarkets. The lively local pub, a mile away, provides a good selection of local ales and ciders, and does good pub food. The Sunday carvery is recommended. Being a very rural area there is little in the way of public transport - a sparse bus service to Launceston and Bude, and a local taxi firm so a car is a must.
