The SpaceAvailable for short or long stays in our house in great location in Rusholme close to city center. Very good transport links to almost everywhere in Manchester. The house is a walking distance to the bus stop and shops and few minutes’ walk to university and the hospital. The house has all the facilities. It is provided with a phone and Internet. The house is a 5 bedroom and has a mix of males and females, students and professionals. You would have access to all facilities and be able to cook and use the lounge etc. We would prefer guests over 22 years old and it is a student area so lots to do round about. There are lots of shops and restaurants nearby for you to enjoy. There will be a deposit to pay in order to hand a key of the house. I dont like to provide bed sheets and covers but I could do for an extra £5. Just contact me for more details. Please get in touch if you have any other questions about the house, I'd be happy to answer them. Other Things to NoteNote: Most time there is £5 charges for bedding. The SpaceOne of the unique characteristics of our house are the front doors, they are the original doors from the BBC's Northwest studio which located nearby and was demolished in the early 70's. Names such as Jimmy Hendrix, The Beatles and many more stars of film and stage have walked through these doors, you could be next. Enough of the nostalgia, we are pleased to offer a comfy room to rent in our 5 bedroomed, red bricked house on a quiet, leafy cul-de-sac in Victoria Park. There are great public transport links just moments from the house with access to the airport and the city centre, which is just ten minutes away. The Manchester Royal Infirmary is just a 5 minute walk and there are lots of parks nearby, not to mention the famous "Curry Mile" which is just a short walk away. Most of the University buildings are also located nearby. The house has Wifi and our guests will share the house with just one couple so there is lots of space. There are tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms. We look forward to welcoming our guests into our lovely home. Interaction with GuestsWe have a quiet peaceful home and we just ask that guests be respectful. The NeighborhoodIt is a Cul-De-Sac and very quiet. Getting AroundBus stops to all major routes are a 5 min walk from the house. Other Things to NoteWe know ALL the good places to eat!!! Are happy to advise. This is a quiet home and we do like to have everything locked up and alarm on for midnight so if you are coming to Manchester to party and be coming home late then this is definitely not the place for you. It is not a city centre hotel. We ask guests not to consume food in the bedroom.

I have a full time job and work a variety of shifts. However my neighbour is trustworthy and I'll sometimes give her a key as she's a house wife so if you need to check in earlier that's fine too. Usually check in is around 6 or later. Check out is flexible. The NeighborhoodWhat I love about my neighbourhood is the diversity that you find on my street especially. I get on with all the neighbours I know and the others I've never seen! Getting AroundThere is a bus stop 2 minutes walk away that has a regular bus every 8-10 minutes, there is one nearer however that bus is once every hour. Best check tfgm online for further details as there is a bus stop 2 minutes away. Other Things to NoteAs I no longer live there I can't guarantee the current long term guests will have loo roll around so please if you use it, bring your own!

The SpaceWelcome to my home. I have a comfortable and clean private room available with plenty of space for your things. I am available 24/7 and I am easy to contact. My house is within walking distance to Central Manchester, the Universities and other attractions. My property has brilliant access to transport links with a bus stop for (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) just steps away, which take you to Piccadilly Gardens (City Centre) and towards Trafford. I can help advise you where to go. Included in the price are is Breakfast & Evening Meal and cleaning & laundry. I can accommodate for most tastes and dietary requirements including vegetarians. In my house you are able to use the kitchen and a shared bathroom. You can use the internet connection, TV, DVD and washing machine. Lighting, heating and hot water also all available. The local area is very nice and safe. You will be fine bringing in your bags etc. Anyone is welcome to come and stay in Manchester's exciting metropolitan culture. This is also a gay friendly house. I only expect guests to respect my place and I will help you have an awesome stay in Manchester. Guest AccessThe whole house apart from other rooms being used by other guests. The bathroom, kitchen and garden is shared. Free Wifi and street/secure car parking facilities (5£/night) are offered. Interaction with GuestsI like to think I have a lot of interaction with my fellow guests and if they need me I am available 24/7. Also, all guests eat their evening meal together, which brings a great international atmosphere. The NeighborhoodThe Northern Quarter While Manchester's bohemian quarter is fast being discovered by the hordes, there are still plenty of cool, independent bars which haven't yet been tinged by the dreaded 'mainstream'. The main concentration of bars in the N4 are focused around the High Street/Thomas Street crossroads, but wander over to Tib Street and Oldham Street where you'll be rewarded with some great bars and clubs and a slightly more laid back vibe. Our favourites include 2022nq, Common, Cord, Centro and the excellent Matt and Phred's, where you can enjoy live jazz most nights of the week. Oxford Road Beginning at MMU's All Saints campus and heading all the way down to central Library, the Oxford Road corridor is awash with great bars and venues, and tends to carry the same laid back spirit as the Northern Quarter but with a slightly more studenty vibe. The Deaf Institute, Kro2, Odder, Sound Control and Space are all generally safe bets for a great night and good crowd. Deansgate Locks Opposite Deansgate Train Station you'll find 'The Locks' - a row of swanky bars housed in converted railway arches. You'll love it or hate it. Deansgate As a student, you probably won't have much need or desire to drink on Deansgate. But if you do fancy blowing your loan on overpriced drinks and footballer-spotting, head to WAGtastic bars such as The Living Room, Panacea (on John Dalton Street just off Deansgate) or Cloud 23, 23 floors up the landmark Hilton Tower. The Gay Village Canal Street offers a continental style, with drinking and partying taking place on the old cobbled street. Live Music If you've made the decision to spend your formative years in Manchester, then we'll assume that part of this decision may have been down to Manchester's global reputation for live music. And while the Madchester days may be over (thankfully, some might say), the city continues to produce incredible local talent, as well as being a major stop off on the touring schedules of every band. From the cavernous MEN Arena to the dark, intimate vibes of Night and Day cafe, Manchester is overflowing with live music venues - and it's not hard to find a gig to attend on any night of the week. The University Campus is host to the three Academy venues of varying sizes, as well as The Deaf Institute next to MMU's All Saints campus, which is one of Manchester's finest independent music venues with an excellent line-up of gigs. In town you'll find gigs at The Roadhouse, Sound Control, Night and Day, The Ruby Lounge and Dry Bar. Now Wave are also a leading promoter in cutting edge live music, and are well wroth checking out. And with more and more bars hosting gigs and live music nights there really is an overwhelming abundance of venues to find your live music fix. Getting AroundAirport Manchester has a great international airport. I can come collect you from the airport for a fee (15£) which is cheaper than the taxis. Trains Manchester has several major train stations, Oxford Road station being the closest to my house and easiest to collect from. Trains arrive from many cities across the UK. Buses Greater Manchester has an extensive bus network operated by various commercial operators. All Transport for Greater Manchester information is comprehensive and impartial; provided independently to any of these companies. A list of these commercial operators can be found via the links on the left of this page, should you wish to contact them direct. Many buses start their journey or pass through a Transport for Greater Manchester operated bus station. If you are using one of our bus stations, look at the 'Bus Station Departures' link where you will find a list of the services using the bus station, together with a bus station plan showing the stands used by these buses. Timetables are available for all bus services running in Greater Manchester and can be obtained from local Travelshops, by post from Transport for Greater Manchester, ring (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) (calls from BT landlines cost 10p a minute, mobile and other landline networks may charge an additional tariff), or through the Journey Planner. If you already have a copy of one of our timetables you can check if it is the latest edition in our 'Bus Times Leaflet List'. Other Things to NoteI will allow clean pets but please bring their own bed with you. No cats allowed as I have a dog that doesn't like them, sorry.

The SpaceI have a small and cosy single room in a friendly shared Manchester house, which is available for you to stay in. The house has super fast broadband internet with unlimited downloads. Rusholme is a working class/student, multicultural area, just 2 miles south of Manchester city centre. It's only 1 mile from the University and Manchester Royal Infirmary. In the local area you will find everything you need for your stay; there are shops, takeaways, restaurants and pubs all within walking distance of the house. Rusholme is also famous for its curry mile restaurants. Rusholmes "curry mile" has the largest concentration of Asian restaurants in the UK and provides a destination for over 65,000 diners per week ! The area has good transport links; the house is close to the motorway, and it is just a 15 minute drive to the airport and 5 minutes into the city centre. Once in Manchester you can take advantage of the great shopping, bars, cinemas, clubs and theatres! Guest AccessDuring your stay you will also have access to a shared bathroom, living room, kitchen and the back yard. Interaction with GuestsI rarely stay in the house so you will not see me unless there is a problem that needs fixing. I live 12 miles away in Glossop. It takes about 45 minutes to drive to the house. You will share the kitchen, bathroom and living room with my housemates. The NeighborhoodRusholme as excellent curry restaurants and takeaways on the "curry mile". If you like currys and middle eastern cuisine then you have chosen the right location. You will find that because the house is in a quiet street at the end of a cul de sac that it is very peaceful both day and night. Opposite the house there is a nice urban communal area called the Triangle. It as decking, flower tubs, etc. and it is used for barbeques and parties in the warmer Summer months and can be accessed anytime by contacting one of the key holders. It's a great opportunity to meet some genuine Manchester people that live in the community. Getting Around2 minutes walk to the 111 bus stop and then a 10 minute journey into the city centre. 5 minutes in a car or a 30 minutes walk to the city centre. Other Things to NoteI prefer guests who have a picture, write a few words about themselves in their profile and have some sort of verification and positive reviews if possible. There is a cleaning fee of £10 but if the room is cleaned before departure then this will be refunded.

The SpaceSpacious and light double attic bedroom in Victorian terraced house, consisting of double bed, chest of drawers, hanging space, bedside table and desk and chairs. Tea / coffee making facilities, T.V. hairdryer and Internet access. House is fully double glazed with central heating. We have recently installed a wc and shower in the attic space. Please note there is limited head height in the wc. Our house is situated in the superb Hunters Bar/Ecclesall Road area of Sheffield. There is an excellent range of cafes, bars, restaurants and shops all within 100 metres of the house. The universities, hospitals and city centre are all within walking distance though there is also an excellent bus service into the city. We are also just round the corner from Endcliffe Park which leads onto Bingham Park and out into the Peak District (so a superb location for walkers). Guests are welcome to use our sunny kitchen/diner facilities. We will also be happy for you to use the washing machine if you need it . We are happy to provide a continental breakfast at £5 per person payable during your stay. We are: Rita, a part time worker in a local store and a keen dancer: and Mike, a self-employed musician, tutor/trainer and dry-stone waller. We enjoy meeting new people and providing information about our lovely city. Please note - we have a fairly steep staircase, a small bathroom and live on a steep road where parking is not always easy. We also live in an area where there are a lot of students so it is occasionally lively which may not always be suitable for people wanting total peace and quiet during their stay. (Generally it is very quiet and peaceful!) Guest AccessGuests will have access to the kitchen facilities and use of the washing machine. They are also welcome to use the small patio garden. As from September 2015 guests using the attic bedroom will have their own wc and shower. Interaction with GuestsWe enjoy chatting with our guests and making them feel at home, but we also understand if you need space and rest after a long journey! Either way we are happy to try and answer any questions you may have about visitor attractions, local restaurants etc. The NeighborhoodWelcome to Sheffield - 'the world's largest village' it was once described to me when I first started working here. The friendliness and humour of the city isn't just a cliche. We really love our little neighbourhood of Hunters Bar, having moved here in February 2013. It manages to encapsulate the best the city has to offer, with lively cosmopolitan life the length of Eccleshall Rd right to the city centre; yet you can also pull your boots on at our front door and walk straight through the parks and woods into the Peak District, up onto the start of the Pennine Way (if only our old knees were up to it now!) We have thriving live music pubs within walking distance, a great jazz club a short walk away on Wednesday nights, the best Irish music sessions this side of Dublin at the legendary Fagan's, sophisticated wine bars and eateries, theatres including the wonderfully miniscule Lantern Theatre in adjoining Nether Edge - I could go on and on (and he frequently does! - Rita). Come and see for yourself! Getting AroundThe bus routes to and from the city are excellent and run every few minutes down Eccleshall Rd, making it easy to get to our house if you get off at the Hunters Bar roundabout. Friendly locals will usually help if you're not sure. There is on road parking at our house but it is frequently full and you may have to park further up the road. We are on a steep hill so not so good in snowy weather. Other Things to NoteThe staircase is fairly steep.

The SpaceThe house is within 6 minutes walk of Levenshulme station, which is then just one stop from Manchester Piccadilly, which makes it ideal for exploring the city centre of heading off to Salford or Liverpool. But the house is also very convenient for visitors of Manchester Universities or the Central Hospital site all of which are on Oxford Rd a 10 minute bus ride or 40 minute walk away Guest AccessGuests have access to their own double bedroom with fresh bed linen and towels. There is plenty of storage space in the room as well as a table and chair and WiFi for those who need to keep in touch with work or family. The room and street are very quite. You share a bath room with the female occupier. There is a good shower and bath. I welcome guests on arrival with a meal and also provide breakfast for the following morning. Then depending on schedules I introduce guests to the neighbourhood. Guests stopping for more than a few days have use of the kitchen including cupboard and fridge space so they can self cater. There are also tea and coffee making supplied in the guest room. Guests are welcome to join me in the lounge in the evening (TV and DVD). I am often working from home, from the dining room table, so this room is off limits after breakfast time. I have a south facing garden which can be a lovely place to start and finish the day (weather permitting). Interaction with GuestsI enjoy meeting people, and whether you are visiting Manchester as a tourist or on business I am sure we will find some common ground. But I also appreciate my guests privacy. The NeighborhoodLevenshulme is a surprisingly quiet suburb of Manchester, though still within easy reach of the city centre. I have good neighbours and live in a very pleasant road. But it is still part of a big city and if you are on foot or using public transport I would come home after about 10.30 pm in a taxi, especially if you are a woman. This would cost about £6.00 from the city centre. Other Things to NoteThere are plenty of books in the house!

He wouldn’t take much persuading to join you on a bike ride. Did you know Sheffield is hosting the Tour de France this year? The 200 km stage from York finishes in the city on July the 6th. Why not cycle some, if not all, of the route up to York to get a taste of what the pros experience. There is a regular train service back from York if your legs can’t take the return journey!! I love music and I play the trumpet in a local group (very averagely at the moment). I’d be happy to drag you along to a gig in one of the local venues (of which there are many in Sheffield). The house is within walking distance of the Peak District National Park and a short car drive to lovely picturesque villages such as Bakewell, Eyam and Castelton. The Chatsworth Estate, the home of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire and the location of many a Hollywood film, is definitely worth a visit. Sheffield City Centre is a short bus journey away, however if you’re feeling energetic, you can take a 40 minute walk/ 20 minute cycle ride , down the picturesque, traffic free Porter Valley through Endcliffe Park. The 2 universities and the Hallamshire Hospital are easily accessible by public transport, car or foot. Sheffield offers many attractions; theatres (Lyceum and Crucible), numerous music venues (e.g. Sheffield Arena), plentiful shopping opportunities (e.g. Meadowhall) plus much more!! For those who want to venture further afield, Leeds and Manchester, or the beautiful Yorkshire Dales are within a reasonable travelling distance. London is a 3 hour drive or 2 1/2 hour train journey away. Interaction with GuestsWe speak English and German, as I am originally from Germany. Guest Access Bathroom, Lounge, Kitchen, Wifi Access, TV, Breakfast, Evening Meal, Washing Machine, Parking, Iron, Ironing Board, Shared Bathroom, Shared Kitchen, Collecting to Railway Station. Please do not enter other bedrooms of other guest unless requested by them. Interaction with Guests i like to cook a meal and we all eat together and get to know each other also if you wish me to join you while you go in the city i will be happy to show where to go show you round take you to events The Neighbourhood The Northern Quarter While Manchester's bohemian quarter is fast being discovered by the hordes, there are still plenty of cool, independent bars which haven't yet been tinged by the dreaded 'mainstream'. Getting around Buses Greater Manchester has an extensive bus network operated by various commercial operators. Other Things to Note like all major citys around the world manchester has its small share of criminals so be safe with your items like bags wallets jewlery and money try to blend in dont look like a tourist and dont look lost dont walk around with your mobile to your ear as there is a new trend for people on bikes to snatch them from you so go in a shop or bar and make a call i am happy to go anywhere with you if you are a lone tourist just ask

The SpaceThis is a single room, with a bunk-bed (so having a guest every now and then is possible), in a 2 bedroom house. The house is our home and not a typical rental space, so it is considerably cleaner and better equipped than other properties in the neighbourhood. There is an upright piano in the house, a small dishwasher, a washing machine with a dryer and the kitchen is fully equipped. As it is our home we ask the guests to treat it with respect and to leave it as clean as possible. **The room is available from 4 July until 31 August. As for now the entire house can be rented for this period. This could be particularly convenient for a family with children. Please send a massage and ask for a special price if you want to rent the entire house **There is good fast wi-fi around the house** Guest AccessYou will have access to the leaving room, kitchen, bathroom with a bath, and the front room which is shared between indoor bike space and working/reading space. You can use the yard and you can park your car on the street in front of the house if you wish. Interaction with GuestsWe are always available on a UK landline and will handle any issues promptly. Other than that there won't be any direct interaction :) * Hablamos español * Parliamo italiano * Govorimo B/C/H/S The NeighborhoodThis is a great multicultural neighbourhood where you can buy great food (be it in the restaurant or in the shop) much cheaper than anywhere else. Getting to Manchester Metropolitan University or the city centre is not complicated either. Getting AroundThe house is 5 minutes walk away from the Curry Mile from where you have a bus to the city centre every 1-2 minutes. Other Things to NoteThe fee does not include the gas & electricity bill. These are metered and in the summer can be around £20-40/month depending on your usage.
