We are only next door so will be there to welcome you, but also on hand should you need anything. The NeighborhoodAlthough we're officially classed as being in Milton Keynes, we consider ourselves to be more closely linked to Newport Pagnell. It's an historic former coaching town but now with a range of restaurants and pubs. It has the oldest working iron bridge over the river Ouse, and home to the Aston Martin showroom where they occasionally have special auctions that attract celebrities.
There are many walking/cycling routes in Milton Keynes along paths known as 'redways' and there are several lakes nearby too.
In Central Milton Keynes there's a large undercover shopping centre, a theatre, a large choice of eateries, and the Xscape complex - where you can ski, snowboard, sky dive, shop, bowl, eat, drink, watch a wide variety of movies, and a casino.
•CMK train and coachway just a 10 minute drive away
•M1 junction 14 - 3 miles away
•London Luton airport, 30 minute car journey
•London Heathrow airport, 1 hour car journey
•Milton Keynes Central train station: links to London Euston (36 minutes) and Birmingham New Street (55 minutes)
We are close to the M1 and are just off a main road so there is some traffic noise but this tends to be during rush hours only and it's not that loud, but we'd rather make you aware of it in advance.
There's a hard copy map left in the apartment for the convenience of guests and several books about the history of Newport Pagnell. Getting AroundIf you have your own car there is parking right outside the apartment, but also a bus stop approximately 50 metres away if you don't have your own transport with routes to central Milton Keynes, Kingston shopping centre, the Open University, MK hospital, and Bletchley.
The train station is 3-4 miles away and fast trains to London Euston take 35-40 minutes. Easy routes to Birmingham and Manchester are other options from MK. Other Things to NoteBedding and towels are changed on a weekly basis for longer term guests.
If you'd like any basic food shopping in preparation for your arrival, just let us know and we'll have it done for you ie milk, bread, butter etc.
We have 2 rescue dogs: a West Highland terrier called Molly but she only barks when someone comes to our door, and an extremely friendly Pug called Hugo.
