The SpaceOur relaxed and clean space, a stones throw from Newquay's town centre and bay beaches can accommodate both small families or large groups. We have a maximum capacity of 22 and all our rooms boast semi en-suite facilities providing our guests with a private shower and sink – a bathroom privacy most other Surf Lodges do not offer. The Green House has a large communal lounge and a south facing garden with a large patio and BBQ area where you can relax and catch some glorious Cornish rays. The Green House is a family run business and my 2 brothers and I were born and bred in Newquay after our parents moved down from London in the 1960's. Our strong connections in Newquay provide us with what is needed to directly connect our guests with whatever is required from their holiday. We are able to offer very competitive local discounts for surfing lessons, coasteering lessons, and group discounts at some great local restaurants as well as being able to offer you our years of local knowledge and advise. The Green House Surf Lodge is well located - not too close to town that you are disturbed by the 'sounds' eminating from Newquay's wee hours but not too far away for town to be an annoying walk away. If arriving by bus or train, The Green House is only an 8 minute walk or few minutes in a taxi! Ba aware though that the route from the bus station to The Green House is pretty much all uphill... Berties Nightclub is an easy 300 meters away and our nearest beach a mere 480 meters away or a 5 minute walk. The Green House has 24hr access, you are free to come and go as you please and everybody’s welcome. Facilities include free WIFI free parking, large communal lounge, Surf Equipment Hire, Pool table, BBQ area and Tea and Coffee making facilities. Our summer rate start from as little as £22 per night and we will still throw in a continental breakfast but get in touch as we are happy to offer a lower mid week rate, group discounts and just plain old discounts because we love it when the house is full and buzzing! Guest AccessA private room with a private shower and sink, free WIFI, a communal lounge with plenty of comfy sofa's and a pool table, a South facing garden with a patio and a Bbq area, free parking (limited). Erm, and Beaches, Surf, Sun (hopefully), Coastal walks, Sea guls? and Pastys!! Interaction with GuestsAs little or as much as the guest would like! The NeighborhoodOur immediate neighbourhood is quiet, friendly and safe and if you are a little too late for one of The Green House parking spaces, there are also plenty of free and safe residential parking spaces in the streets just off our street, result! Getting AroundIf arriving by bus or train, The Green House is only an 8 minute walk or few minutes in a taxi! Ba aware though that the route from the bus station to The Green House is pretty much all uphill...

The SpaceThe studio is completely self contained being located above a garage, it is unfortunately not suitable for disabled or infirm guests, being accessed via an external staircase. It is about 1 mile from Holywell bay & Polly joke cove, both of which you can walk to via National trust footpaths. Newquay & Perranporth are about 5 miles away, whilst Truro is around 10 miles away, Newquay airport has regular flights from many parts of the UK & is about 7 miles away. The studio is very comfortable (we lived in it for 2 years whilst rebuilding our house) although the surrounding grounds are a work in progress so please don't expect manicured gardens. The studio is an ideal base for walking, swimming, surfing, fishing, wildlife watching & general coastal living. * Parking space. * Washing machine. * Freezer compartment We are happy to meet our guests & to make suggestions for places to visit, eat, drink. We will provide a welcome pack for our guests, to include a few essentials for your arrival. We only ask that you accept that we can be extremely busy at times due to having a business to run, we in return will respect your privacy & if you do not wish to interact with us that is perfectly fine. We live in a very wild & beautiful part of Cornwall, the area can be both hot & sunny & also wild & stormy, both beautiful in their own way. Holywell bay has been used as a setting for many films & TV dramas including Die another day (James Bond), Summer in February & the recent Jamaica inn tv drama, it is characterised by the twin peaks of Gull (or Carter) rocks & has beautiful golden sands. Polly joke ( or Porth joke) is a beautiful little hidden cove. There are several great pubs & restaurants within walking distance if you should wish to eat out or go for a quiet drink. Buses run on a regular basis from the village which is 10 minutes walk away, there is also a local taxi service. * Parking space. * Washing machine. * Freezer compartment We are happy to meet our guests & to make suggestions for places to visit, eat, drink. The SpaceIt's a very cosy, bright, colourful, bohemian space. Definitely more home than guest house and that's how we like people to feel when they come here- at home. in the room there is a King size bed and two single beds so whether you are friends, a family or a couple, we can accommodate :) We also provide clean towels and extra blankets if needed Guest AccessGuests will have access to their room, kitchen and dining room, bathroom and garden. Interaction with Guestswe interact with guests as little or as much as they want. We're a curious bunch who like to get to know and make friends with the people that come and stay but this certainly isn't a requirement. We understand that some people need more space than others!

The SpaceWant to get away from it all? This spacious, listed building boasts magnificent, panoramic sea views over Newquay Bay & Harbour and is the perfect location for a short break or extended vacation. Perfect for a private getaway, nestling against the cliffs above Towan Beach is this unique gem of a detached, characterful, period cottage with fantastic sea views – probably the best in Newquay. Four hundred years old and retaining a wealth of original features Towan Vean is nevertheless comfortable, homely, well-equipped and close to beaches. The sea views may be enjoyed whilst enjoying your early morning cup of tea in bed and also from the balcony whilst relaxing in the hammock. Fishing boats and leisure craft sail in and out of the historic harbour and local children often make sport leaping off the harbour walls into the clear turquoise waters below. Just below the house is the coastal path which leads to the harbour in one direction and to the headland in the other; the facilities of the town are also within easy walking distance (the Harbour Restaurant is just 100 yards). There are 11 beaches in the Newquay area all offering golden sands and clear waters - no wonder Newquay is such a popular family resort. The house has been completely refurbished and has fitted wardrobes, a bathroom with a power shower, as well as a deep, cast iron bath, fully fitted kitchen including gas hob and oven, fridge, freezer and dishwasher. The property benefits from an unusually long 29ft reception area with two original fire places, a very spacious utility area with a washing machine and a downstairs cloakroom. There are two balconies overlooking the sea and a small, private garden. The house has gas central heating and wooden floors throughout and benefits from its own parking. This property is truly one-of-a-kind.

The SpaceThe Old School House offers spacious and historic accommodation in the rural village of Crantock. Both the beach and our house are dog friendly making it perfect for your holiday all year around. A short trip away is the iconic Eden Project, Watergate Bay (home to Jamie Oliver’s restaurant Fifteen) and the Camel Trail cycle path to Padstow as well as other family attractions and dozens of stunning beaches. **Please note: The Old School House will be closed for her annual spruce up from January - March 2017.** **In high season (June - September) we rent our house on a Saturday to Saturday weekly basis.** We offer The Old School House as a home from home, making sure you have the essentials you need when you arrive. We provide beach accessories, flasks and picnic-ware, dog blankets and a bbq so your holiday is the best it can be. Violet, your host lives next-door so is often available to walk your dogs if you go out on a day trip or need anything. Crantock is one of the most idyllic villages in Cornwall, home to Britain's Best Beach (voted by BBC Coast in 2013) and is part of a coastline that is famous for its surfing, pubs, coastal walks, wildlife and local events. Our house is situated less than a mile outside the village, so a bus to local towns and the nearest city, Truro, is less than a 10 minutes walk away. The nearest train station is 10 minutes away by car but we would suggest renting a car during your visit. The house is full of things that we hope will make you comfortable during your stay. Things like bedlinen, towels, guide books and information on local events are provided. There is a village shop and three large supermarkets within a 10 minute drive. WiFi internet is available. We welcome guests with dogs at a cost of £30 per dog. Please pay for this on arrival. :) Guest AccessWe offer The Old School House as a home from home, making sure you have the essentials you need when you arrive.
