The SpaceJohn and I are artists and we have lovingly converted the chapel over 17 years to make it our home with our daughter. Featured in Psychologies Magazine and in the Saturday Times Magazine, it offers an amazing and gigantic airy space in which to host a relaxing break in the English countryside. It is full of interesting objects and a vast library of books that we have collected over the years and invite you to enjoy during your stay. If you are curious about life, culture and art you will have a fun time staying here. With an atmosphere of bohemian shabby chic, it has quirks, but the photos cannot capture the feeling of space, calm and tranquility. It offers comfortable accommodation for a group of family or friends. It is also fantastic for hen nights, reunions and photo shoots. It is built for song, laughter and conversation and will bring you the joy of birdsong to wake you in the morning. The chapel comfortably sleeps 8 people based on sharing as there are two double beds, one sofa bed and two single beds. Whilst we welcome your celebrations, the chapel is our home not a venue and we ask you to respect this and not to exceed the number of people booked. There are three bedrooms: two rooms have double beds, one has two single beds and there is a basic double sofa bed in a separate room downstairs. This is a separate downstairs room adjacent to the main living space, offering privacy. Upstairs there is one family bathroom with a shower and one of the upstairs bedrooms also has a shower in it. There is a downstairs loo. Downstairs is one large open space with a non fitted kitchen, including a double oven, a family sized fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. There is full central heating and wi-fi throughout the building. There is on street parking outside the chapel. There is a walled courtyard outside full of growing herbs in the summer. It is perfectly situated in the centre of the county making it an appealing place to host a weekend with friends and family who are based in different parts of the UK. Although in the centre of a charming limestone Lincolnshire village, it is only a 20 minute drive (10 miles) to Lincoln City where you can visit one of the most important Cathedrals in the UK, as well as Lincoln Castle that houses the Magna Carta. Lincoln has a good museum and contemporary art gallery, The Collection, as well as theatres and lots of great restaurants and bars. If you prefer a quieter time, the chapel is situated on the historic Viking Way, a world famous walking route, so there are walks that begin from the door, with stunning views across the landscape. There are two pubs in Wellingore, both serve food and the Red Lion, is by all reports good. Navenby is the next village, a 15 minute walk away, where you will find an award winning bakery, a delightful brasserie 'Macys', The Kings Head pub that serves good food and antique shops to explore. 'Mrs Smith's Cottage' is a small historic house in Navenby that is open to the public during the summer months. There is also a small co-op supermarket, a pharmacy and take aways. A regular No 1 connect bus service runs between Wellingore and Lincoln or Grantham and there is a direct train service from Lincoln to London, as well as other major cities. The nearest train stations are Grantham or Newark. Guest AccessThe chapel and courtyard will be available exclusively for you during your stay. Interaction with GuestsWe will meet and greet you when you arrive and show you around the chapel. We will then leave you the key to enjoy the place. Should you need any assistance, we are at the end of the phone during your stay. The NeighborhoodWellingore is one of the Cliff Villages built on a limestone ridge that runs from Lincoln City. It offers glorious views across the otherwise flat countryside and walks with quaint country pubs in nearby villages. It is a quiet village with easy access to Lincoln city. Getting AroundThe village is between Lincoln and Grantham and is about 10 miles to each. There are train stations at Grantham, Newark and Lincoln with good connections to London. Locally, there is a no 1 bus that runs between Grantham and Lincoln. Waddington Taxis is a local taxi company (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN). A taxi ride from Grantham costs about £30. Other Things to NotePlease do not park across the next door neighbour's driveway, there is usually ample on street parking directly outside the chapel.

The SpaceThe Manor boasts six bedrooms; two twin and four doubles. There are two full bathrooms upstairs and a separate lavatory. Downstairs there are a further two shower rooms and another separate lavatory. Self catering facilities are available, with guests having full use of the Manor's kitchen, dining room and lounge. There are open fires in the dining room & lounge and we will supply firewood & coal during the cold Winter months. The kitchen is large and easily able to cater for up to 14 guests, with a catering size oven and large American Fridge-Freezer. Outside the Manor there is a patio area with a large outdoor fireplace/BBQ and an outdoor 10 seater hot tub. As the Manor is set within Leadenham Polo Club, the guests will have the full run of the Polo Club and are more than welcome to spectate when there are Polo Matches or join in with Polo Lessons. Guest AccessGuests will have access to the full house and the grounds of Leadenham Polo Club. During the Polo Season (April - October) we will have Polo clients in the Reception area and we open up the downstairs toilets to our Polo guests during the day should they need to use the facilities. There is a door separating the toilets from the rest of the house, which can be bolted from the house side - so that Polo clients will not have access to the rest of the house. These will be cleaned by staff after use so that they remain clean for house guests. Interaction with GuestsGuests will be welcomed on arrival and provided with a contact number should they have any problems, questions or require any help. We will be on hand at all times to assist if needed. I only live across the road in the village, so available at all times. The NeighborhoodThe post office in the village has a small shop and is now home to Leadenham Tea House which sells an array of home baked goods as well as fabulous coffees and teas. There are several local pubs, The George in Leadenham and the Hare and Hounds in Fulbeck being great places to drink and eat. Getting AroundWe are located on the crossroads between Newark, Lincoln, Grantham and Sleaford so have excellent rail links to London, being only 1 hour and 15 minutes by train. Taxi services are available to collect from the train station, and the journey will only take 20 minutes to arrive at the Manor. A bus route between Lincoln and Grantham runs through the village, and buses run every hour. Other Things to NoteActivities on offer include Polo lessons during the Summer months, and pony trekking in the Lincolnshire countryside during the Winter. Our Polo Ponies are superb beginner ponies, very safe and lots of fun!

Stylish, modern decor with crisp clean bedding on a king sized bed and a vintage Lambretta thrown in! The cottage is one open-plan bedroom and lounge area with separate bathroom (bath with shower over). We provide shampoo, shower gel and bubble bath as well as hand soap in the bathroom. Guest AccessThe cottage is a self contained detached building in our garden at the rear, separate to our house - so full privacy. We are often out in the garden, but guests are welcome to use this space also. You are welcome to come and go as you please, no matter what time, as you will be given your own key code and can access the cottage without any interaction from us. All guests have access through our garden to the cottage. There is no access to our family home. We can leave a space on the driveway for you if you are arriving by car. Please park on the left hand side. Interaction with GuestsBecause the cottage is detached and self contained, with private access, we generally give our guests a lot of privacy and space. We love to meet our guests and show them around when they first arrive. There may be some occasions when we're not in when guests arrive; if this is the case, full arrival instructions would be messaged. A comprehensive guestbook is available to hand for all guests, however we are always available to help if needed, either on the phone or in person. We are very respectful of guests privacy and allow them peace and quiet. Our cat on the other hand, may be a lot more intrusive of your space if you let her! Rose Cottage has varied over the centuries but it is believed to have been built in the 1700's. Our guests have use of their very own 'snug' room with log burner and of course the heavily beamed dining room for breakfast. Bedrooms have king size beds and the en-suites are larger than average shower cubicles.

Hilltop Cottage is on one level with a double bedroom and spacious diner lounge. It is designed for two (there is also room for a small child to sleep in the spacious lounge) but can be taken alongside the adjacent Hilltop Barn to provide for a group of up to eight. Ideal for both your holidays or for longer stays. There is a spacious bathroom with shower over bath and a practical kitchen with fridge and freezer and all the accessories you would normally expect. It is fully centrally heated and is warm and cosy throughout the year. Undoubtedly its biggest attraction is the superb location overlooking the valley on the Lincoln Cliff Edge. It also overlooks a large garden which gives it a feel of having the space of a large country house rather than a small cottage. However, it does have its owns secluded and enclosed garden and orchard and a private off road parking area. Access to the adjacent large meadow and beyond into a wildlife conservation area is exclusive to you as a visitor (there is no public access)
