Guests can choose from two different tipis: the Modern Tipis or the Large Modern Tipis. Both types are very spacious, placed upon wooden decks, have electric heaters, and provide futons. On the grass outside each tent there is an area where guests can sit and relax while watching the beautiful sunset from their own picnic benches. Modern Tipis These tipis can sleep 5 people (2 adults and 3 children). The clean, cozy, and homey ambiance is perfect for families or couples. Large Modern TipisThese larger tipis not only provide more space but also more amenities. These tipis have 100% cotton canvas and are built in traditional style, but keep the necessities of modern day use in mind. The main difference between the modern tipis is that they are built with 1 central pole rather than 15 wooden poles. Having a bit more space, these tents can sleep 6 but are furnished for 4. Guests will find that they come equipped with carpets, electric fires, full sized futons, 2 leather cube chair/beds, electrical sockets, and small tables.

The SpaceThe Boatshed hostel is converted from an old fishing warehouse. Accommodation consists of 3 bunk beds and 4 single beds. Its very quiet in Quay Street, but very close to some great pubs & restaurants, the beach is about a minute away and the harbour 20 seconds, town centre about ten minutes walk....a great place to visit. Guests get their own key and have access to all communal living areas, showers etc. Use of BBQ included. We live on the next street so are around as needed. We meet guests on arrival and are happy to give info on local attractions and amenities. We often have BBQ's in the Spring and Autumn for guests to join in. (Fully booked up all July & August) The hostel is situated on one of the oldest streets in the old town of Scarborough. Its a hugely historic area and though the fishing industry that once thrived here is now somewhat diminished, there is still a real vibrancy about the area around the harbour. The seafront is thronging with pubs, from loud kareoke style to ambient wine bars and restaurants. Intermingled with cafes and amusement arcades. The beach is a stones throw away. And yet, when you step back onto Quay Street, it is surprisingly quiet and peaceful, (except for the dulcet tones of resident seagulls!!) There are a number of bus routes that head along the seafront including an open top bus that flits between the North and South Bays. Taxis are ever present and don't take to long to arrive if not. The town centre is within walking distance as is the North Bay if you fancy a 20 jaunt. Bedding is provided. If you've forgotten your towel you can buy one from us for £3. Our Wifi is free for guests to use. We can't promise you parking, but there is a public car park at the end of the street which is free from 6pm - 9am and costs £6.50 per day. Should be able to find on street parking, we can give you a parking scratch card to give you free all day parking. Guest AccessYour bed, the bathroom, kitchen, lounge and patio! We also run a kitesurfing school and offer kitesurfing lessons, Stand up paddle board lessons and kayak hire. Ask us for more details and prices. Interaction with GuestsThe Boatshed is an unmanned hostel so we let you in and leave you be! The NeighborhoodThe Old Town of Scarborough is a lovely place to wander. Beneath the castle (built shortly after the Norman Conquest) and next to the harbour (a port since Viking times) the Boatshed is an ideal base. Go for a walk on the beach, a stroll in to town, get the open-top bus to the North Bay and visit the Sealife centre, or walk the Cleveland Way. Getting AroundOpen top buses run between the bays regularly and stop on the seafront 1 street away. The train station is 15-20 minute walk from the Boatshed. Other Things to NoteWe also run a kitesurfing school and offer kitesurfing lessons, SUP lessons and kayak hire. All subject to weather, wind and waves! We are happy to take Stag and Hen groups and can cater for them if required. Please contact us for more details.

Harmony is a quiet retreat, favoured by those requiring a tranquil relaxing setting and situated in beautiful countryside, three miles north of Scarborough. As we are surrounded by the National Park, and in the mouth of Harwood Dale, this is an ideal base for photography, motoring, cycling or walking. Although we are primarily a guesthouse, we offer a comfortable holiday home in the form of our static caravan and have tried to make it as comfortable and well equipped as possible for guests' convenience. Although it is not a modern caravan it has been re-upholstered and refurbished in recent years. It is located in our extensive private grounds overlooking the garden, with lovely views of the dales and forests. Vehicles are accommodated in our car park close by which is about 20 metres across the lawn from the caravan. Assistance can always be given to carry bags if required. As we are in a quiet area, this is the only caravan on site and we do not offer any entertainments or facilities in the grounds although the guesthouse is licensed and available for use most times. Please note we do not take children under the age of six. Booking is from Saturday to Saturday, although outside of the busy season, we would consider shorter stays of a minimum of three nights for ÂŁ120. Arrival time is after 2:00pm on the day of arrival and we ask guests to vacate the caravan by 10:00am on the departure day. Full English breakfast in the house optional at ÂŁ6 / person / day.

Relax and unwind in this fabulous single-storey luxury cottage in Yorkshire, in the heart of the North York Moors. Breaday Gill stands out with a focus on contemporary attention to detail and luxury living. Our cottage is situated in the hamlet of Silpho, which is remarkable for its enormous sky and stunning panoramic views across the North York Moors. Yorkshire's Heritage Coast is just a stones throw away (10 minutes by car to Scarborough) and walkers have direct access to some of the most spectacular walking country that Britain has to offer, right from the cottage door. Carefully selected antique and mid-century furniture sits happily with the more contemporary design elements. This is the perfect base for a short break or holiday enjoying the stunning landscapes of the North York Moors and the Heritage Coast or exploring market and fishing towns. Breaday Gill History Breaday Gill forms part of a courtyard conversion of traditional stone farm buildings at North Farm, Silpho; a small hamlet tucked away at the south-eastern corner of the North York Moors National Park. Historically the part of the barn which is now Breaday Gill was used variously as a cow byre, stalls and stabling and latterly as a milking parlour and dairy. Most of the limestone cobbles outside the cottage are original (although they may have been relaid and replaced over the 200 years or so since the barn was first built!). And now... The building has been meticulously renovated and converted for use as a luxury holiday escape. Original features such as the stone walls have been restored with lime mortars and original timbers including roof trusses and purlins have been retained wherever possible. The building has been converted using environmentally conscious materials and techniques and is designed to be a comfortable and healthy space with a low carbon footprint. Underfloor-heated polished concrete floors, solid oak kitchen, marble wall tiles in the two luxury bathrooms and the latest design in scandinavian woodburner are just a few of the design features which combine to make this a holiday cottage for the 21st Century. The owners have put their hearts and souls into this unique conversion and their love for contemporary and mid-century design is reflected in every detail. Highlights include the Robert Heritage rosewood dining table, the Archie Shine sideboard and the wonderfully comfortable super-king size Molteni bed in the master bedroom.
