Originally a cart shed and stable block Little Saxon Barn has been sympathetically restored and renovated retaining many of the charming original features such as wooden ceiling beams and high vaulted ceilings. Sleeping 10 with a private hot tub it is a perfect place for holidaying with family or friends. The property itself is actually two barns that are semi- detached which can sleep five in each, one boasting a hot tub in the courtyard garden for all of the party to enjoy. The properties have all the modern conveniences you might need with smart and functional kitchens, open plan sitting rooms and beamed bedrooms. Set in a unique setting on one of the oldest sites in Gloucestershire the barn offers fantastic views over the countryside and a pretty fishing pond and backs onto an impressive Anglo Saxon chapel. Little Saxon Barn is in the centre of a pretty Cotswold village and you will find the local pub 100 yards up the road, ideal for a drink or a spot of lunch after walking the number of rambling paths on your door step. Jump in the car and within twenty minutes you will find the historic towns of Gloucester where parts of Harry Potter films were made in the imposing Gloucester Cathedral and also the chic spa town of Cheltenham. For the kids via prior arrangement you can visit the farm and see the baby calves and also watch the cows being milked.

We can provide a high chair, cot, changing mat and baby bath on request. The kitchen is very well equipped with a toaster, kettle, microwave and plenty of cooking utensils. There is a large walk-in pantry for storing food. There is good-sized hall cupboard with plenty of hooks for hats & coats and space for a buggy. Guest AccessThe property has its own enclosed garden with patio which has superb views across the West, perfect for enjoying the sunset. We welcome dogs and there is a spray hose for rinsing off muddy paws! There is a plenty of parking and we have space for 3 cars and more on request. Interaction with GuestsWe live next door and so are usually around to answer any questions and deal promptly with any issues as they arise. The NeighborhoodWe are in the middle of the South Cotswolds and so there are lots of wonderful views from the property. The Cotswolds Way runs past the Barn - this is real walker's country but the hills are gently rolling so the ups aren't too steep and the downs aren't too hard on the knees. Dogs will enjoy running off the lead on one of the local commons, Selsley Common being the closest. If walking isn't your thing, then there is always the local Stroud Farmer's market or visit nearby Nailsworth which is becoming quite well known in the foodie world. Getting AroundThe Barn, Middleyard is easily accessible by road. We are only 10 minutes from J13 of the M5 or if travelling from London not far from the A419 and Cirencester. Alternatively there are good rail links from London to Stroud or Stonehouse (approx. 1 hr 40 mins) and we are on a bus route that links to either Stroud (3 miles away) or Stonehouse (2 miles away).
