The SpaceOne well presented large double room to rent in a friendly household. The house is semi detached with GCH/ double glazed windows, fully furnished, with a recently redecorated bathroom and (website hidden), Blu- Ray in living room and internet access. There is a garage, driveway and large gardens. Washing machine, microwave etc. The house is located in a good residential area, close to all amenities and links into town as well as great metro link. The house is excellently located: 1.7 miles into town. 10 mins to town on public transport 10 mins walk to the Liverpool Warehouse 15 mins walk into Chorlton Village 15 minutes walk to the legendary Manchester United Stadium 10 minute Metro ride to Warehouse project 27 minutes walk to Media City (or very short tram ride) and the park and shops are walking distance away. The house is in an excellent residential area which is close to all public transport, shops etc. The room is ideally for two people but can accommodate 4, with two extra single mattresses added, but would not recommend it for more than two days as it may be a little cramped. Would suit groups visiting for concerts/football/events Special rates offered for guests staying a minimum of 4 weeks. Note: weekends and mid week match nights room is charged at min of having two guest stay. Were time allows I would be happy to pick you up from the airport and drop you off for £10 each way (to make sure all petrol is covered). This should save any guests up to £20 in taxi fairs. Very friendly owner. were time allows i am more than happy to point you in the right direction for the places to see and best way to get there. Other Things to NoteFor weekends I charge the rooms as if there are two guests. If two guests (or more) book then there is no difference than booking in the week but if one guests books over a weekend then they will be charged the rate for an additional guest.

The Spacethe house is situated on the Whalley Range/Chorlton border. the room is a good size, and has a comfy king-size bed the bed is raised, some say it's a loft-bed, some say mezzanine, either way it is high off the ground. So if you are not very agile or just don't fancy sleeping up that high up, then this is not the place for you! I'm also happy for four people to stay in the room as I also have a spare double mattress which can put underneath the raised bed - this is only an option for weekend/short stays as it would not be a great solution for anything longer! my previous experience with airbnb tells me that the bed and room are only really suitable to younger guests (up to around aged 30/35 I'd estimate), the bed is high off the floor and has high steps as opposed to a ladder (I didn't design or build the thing myself) - but there is always the option to use the mattress underneath too! The house is only a ten minute walk to Chorlton centre, where there are lots of trendy bars, independent cafes and restaurants, as well as a big Morrisson's supermarket. The 86 bus stop is less than 4 minutes from the house, which will take you to the Universities on Oxford Rd in about 12-15 minutes, or into the city centre in about 20-25 minutes. You can also walk 10 minutes to Firswood Metro Station and get the tram, which will take around 10-12 mins to get to heart of the city or Media City at Salford Quays. I have cats so if you are allergic, or not really a cat person, then it's best not to book here. Guest Accessyou will have your own room, plus access to the upstairs bathroom (I live in the house too so you will share this with me.) you will also be able to cook and eat in the large kitchen and dining room downstairs. Interaction with GuestsI'm usually in college most days until quite late, so am likely to come home say a quick 'hello' then head to kitchen to cook some food before going to bed to do it all again the next day! The NeighborhoodThe house is only a ten minute walk to Chorlton (Wilbraham Rd), where there are lots of bars, independent cafes and restaurants, as well as a big supermarket. The Space1 single room to rent in homely, 3 bedroom house. It's a big house so there is plenty of space to make yourself feel at home! Ive not been on Air B n B very long so not many reviews as yet. I have stayed at a lot of other peoples homes through Air B n B all over the world though. I love getting to know new people from all different places and cultures. All welcome! :) Guest Access You will have access to the kitchen to make yourself meals and also to the lounge to chill out and watch tele. You can also relax in the garden if the weather is nice enough! Interaction with GuestsThis will be driven by the guest. If you want to just come and go as you please, and just use the room for rent then that is absolutely fine. If you want more of a sociable stay then i can give you recommendations of things to do and places to see etc. The NeighborhoodThe neighborhood is very quiet. Its way off the main roads and looks out onto a large green so plenty of open space. The manchester ship canal runs between Urmston and Irlam not far from the house so there are plenty of nice walks and places to see. The neighbours are all really friendly and as i say very quiet. Getting AroundThere are buses which go from Woodsend Circle (just up the road) straight into Manchester city centre (15 bus). The buses come every half an hour. The number 245 bus goes from woodsend circle to the Trafford Centre again every half an hour. There are also plenty of local taxi services and the metro runs from stretford to different locations in manchester. Dont hessitate to ask if you need more information.

The SpaceYou will be staying in a light airy private room with a very comfortable king-size bed, and have shared access to the bathroom, and the rest of the house. I like to keep my home bright, cosy and relaxed - many people have commented on its welcoming atmosphere and fantastic location. Guest AccessYou'll only be sharing with me (and my cat) and you may come and go as you please while you're here. In the summer, my little garden is a pleasant place to sit with a morning coffee, and the living room is cosy in the evenings. I work from home, running a small catering business. I will provide breakfast, on a help-yourself basis, including home-made items like granola and marmalade, but since I work from home I generally need my kitchen to myself after breakfast time so it's not available to guests after that. There is plenty of space to parking a car, or for an extra £20 I can pick you up from the airport - cheaper than a taxi and you won't have to worry about finding the address! The house also has WiFi which you are welcome to use for no charge. Please note that I am happy to accept bookings for just one night during the winter and on weekdays, but from March to November I don't accept one-night bookings for a Friday or a Saturday night. Interaction with GuestsI am a friendly person who enjoys entertaining and introducing people to Manchester. I have a busy social life but also like to curl up at home with a book, a film or my knitting. I love animals and have a very affectionate cat called Rhea. I speak some French, and I also have lots of experience of explaining British ways to confused overseas visitors, so just ask me if you need directions or advice! I look forward to meeting you. The NeighborhoodChorlton is a vibrant neighbourhood in south Manchester; a little bohemian in character, with lots of quirky independent shops, bars and places to eat, but located only three miles from Manchester city centre and well-connected by frequent tram and bus services. My house is in a quiet street, with some great local bars, a late-opening mini-supermarket (with cashpoint) and an artisan bakery literally just around the corner. On warm nights you can smell the fresh bread being baked, which is delicious! There is also a wide range of pubs, restaurants and interesting shops within walking distance - check out the 'guidebook' attached to this listing for just a few of the options! Getting AroundI am also very happy to give you information and recommendations for things to do, places to eat out etc in Manchester and beyond. Besides being an exciting, stylish city with interesting history and architecture, and a vibrant nightlife, it's also a good base for exploring the North West of England - it's easy to get to Liverpool, Chester, the Pennines, Leeds and the Lake District from here. The house itself is within walking distance to Old Trafford - 15 mins to the cricket ground, about 25 mins to the football stadium - for matches, music concerts or the stadium tour. It's also an easy tram journey to The Lowry arts centre and Media City complex at Salford Quays, and there are regular bus services to the Trafford Centre shopping & entertainment complex. Other Things to NoteI am an experienced host, and have had guests stay here from all over the world, some wanting a quiet base for a work visit, some just wanting to relax and explore Manchester - get in touch and let me know how I can make your stay enjoyable!

The SpaceYou will be staying with me and my husband who is a freelance architectural photographer and works also for Airbnb. We both travel quite often and have been using Airbnb as guests for over five years thus we know your point of view. We would like you to feel in our place as in your own home. The apartment is located on the 4th floor of modern building on the very fringes of the city centre and within walking distance of all local amenities. The area is gated and secure, so car can be left in dedicated space for free and without worries. Our apartment has two double bedrooms, bathroom/ toilet and spacious open plan living/ kitchen area. Living room features floor to ceiling window running the width of the room. The array of natural sunlight makes the area very bright and you can also enjoy stunning views over the River Irwell during the breakfast. Guest AccessGuests have access to all amenities in the apartment. 100Mb fibre broadband is also available for you. We do not only offer a breakfast, but you can also use our kitchen to cook something for yourself. If you are staying over 5 days you can also wash your clothes in washing machine. Interaction with GuestsFor most of the time we are in the apartment available for you. We like to talk to our guests and share the experiences, but also respect your time and privacy. The NeighborhoodThe apartment is situated at the edge of the city centre and Castlefield area - one of the oldest parts of Manchester, cut through by the world’s oldest industrial canal, studded with red brick warehouses and built on the partially excavated site of a roman fort. Once a hub of industrial activity, Castlefield is now one of the city’s most tranquil spots. That’s thanks, in part, to its designation in 1982 as the UK’s first Urban Heritage Park, which safeguarded canals and cobbles and created a largely traffic-free haven. Its moored-up, flower-decked canal boats are evidence of the slower pace of life here. Castlefield is full of pubs, bars and restaurants. It is a home for The Museum of Science and Industry as well. In the closest neighbourhood you'll also find Sainsbury's Superstore, Regent Retail Park, McDonald's and KFC. Getting AroundYou can take a pleasant walk alongside the canal to the Castlefield area and further to the City Centre or take a stroll towards Salford Quays and Old Trafford Stadium - the home of Manchester United Football Club. The building is just 2 minutes walk from the nearest bus stop, 10 minutes walk from the Cornbrook Metrolink stop (now with direct access to the Airport) and about 15 minutes walk from Deansgate Station. For motorised there is an easy access to motorway network via M602. You have also secure and dedicated parking space for your car.

The SpaceIt is a welcoming family home in a safe neighbourhood with all facilities available and good transport links, as a single full time mum, I am social work trained and have taught English as a foreign language abroad and in the UK and been hosting for around 8 years, we have 2 friendly cats, breakfast is help yourself to toast and cereal, tea/coffee, but feel free to store food and cook own meals Guest AccessAll areas living room, kitchen, gardens and bathroom with shower, use of washing machine - increasingly i am finding that some guests spend a lot of time in the house during the week - because of the work this creates and use of extra resources I am introducing a fee of £3 per day for M-F 'office hours' for this which can be paid to me directly - one would usually expect guests to be out and about roughly speaking Mon-Friday 9-5 at least and hotels would charge for boiling water or if using base as place to 'work from home' then usually one's office would foot the bill for the wear and tear aspect of use of all facilities - it all adds up so in future as of 11.9.15 if people intend to stay in the house and have access to all electricity/gas etc. facilities then this charge will apply during the (URL HIDDEN) is expected if one is ill you should be able to relax in yr room and likewise on average 2 rest days per week but if all guests do is stay in and work and use facilities all day I reckon it is reasonable to charge extra for this as a hotel would e.g. for fridge in room etc. Interaction with GuestsWe often spent time together socialising at home, watching films chatting and on day trips to local parks, museums and other attractions locally of which there are many including the Trafford centre, chill factor (URL HIDDEN) and sea life The NeighborhoodProximity to Trafford Centre, express bus service to Manchester City Centre, local town with all amenities, local countryside, community feel, leafy suburb, safety aspect Getting AroundExpress bus service from Trafford Centre to city centre through Trafford Park , passes Man United football stadium and near to Salford Quays attractions such as War Museum, 2 minutes from M60, local train station in Urmston connected to all major transport networks, 20 mins drive from Manchester airport Other Things to NoteThe review stating that I cancelled 6 days before arrival was to please another guest who decided to stay on after a booking but was no happy with me agreeing with the other guest that he could sleep on the sofa, she made quite a fuss so, with his agreement first we cancelled....won't be doing this again as it was a guest trying to lay down the rules in my own home! Also if someone wants to stay for 3 months plus, monthly prices can be reduced as private arrangement

The SpaceIt is a welcoming family home ( note family home means a bit of mess not hotel standards!) in a safe neighbourhood with all facilities available and good transport links, as a single full time mum, I am social work trained and have taught English as a foreign language abroad and in the UK and been hosting for around 8 years, we have 2 friendly cats, breakfast is tea/coffee and toast and cereal, but feel free to store food for other meals and use cooking facilities - please also note that there is an unusual smell locally sometimes referred to as the 'eau de urmston' from local sewers - locals are immune to this and it has not affected house prices but some people are sensitive to smell which varies in intensity - this is totally beyond my control and nothing to do with my animals lol!! Guest AccessAll areas living room, kitchen, gardens and bathroom with shower, use of washing machine Interaction with GuestsWe often spent time together socialising at home, watching films chatting and on day trips to local parks, museums and other attractions locally of which there are many including the Trafford centre, chill factor and sea life The NeighborhoodLeafy suburb with everything you need nearby - the local Trafford Centre has the amazing Sea Life now and Odeon cinema, full range of shops, restaurants and other entertainment throughout the year, in Urmston we have plenty of parks, libraries, town centre shopping with cafes, banks, pubs, churches and ideally situated between the countryside and the city. A thriving community increasing in diversity and local community projects..... Getting AroundWe are 10 minutes walk from the Trafford Centre where there is an express bus service to Manchester city centre, Urmston also has a train station well linked to other parts of the country, very close to M60 motorway so connected to all major transport networks, Manchester airport is 20 minutes drive or there is an airport bus, can arrange pick up or drop off for additional cost £15 (less then taxi) Other Things to NoteHouse rules available on arrival, just sensible things about respecting family home and vice versa e.g. yr responsibility to keep cats our of room not mine If someone wants to stay longer term 3 months plus, prices can be reduced by private arrangement

The SpaceThis room is a DOUBLE room, it is very spacious, cosy and comfy space to be in, equipped with everything that you could need. The centrally heated room comes with a selection of books, maps, tourist, leaflets, hair dryer, emergency supplies, extra heater, towels and umbrella. It is recently decorated, along with a brand new bed and bedding. I've also had special plug sockets fitted that have 2 international plug sockets (no adapter necessary, except for NZ and Auz sorry) and also 3 USB plugs so devices can be charged directly by the wall sockets. My home is a very relaxed and comfortable house, well maintained and equipped, and usually greeted by guests "oooh's" and "ahhhh's" on arrival for it's typically British yet international and homely feel. I prefer an easy life so the kitchen is well equipped with all sorts of utensils and devices, making cooking easy and pleasurable in a relaxed space and in which you are also very welcome to cook. Likewise the living room, conformably and homely decorated, featuring large glass doors which open out to the garden, which has a patio area, lovely in the summer ... and cosy in the winter, inside! The bathroom is bright and clean with a great shower and endless hot water! Also where you'll find a selection of free body soap and shampoo etc. Guest AccessWhen staying here guests have access to all communal areas of my home, we'll do our best to make you feel welcome, whether it's enjoying cooking in the kitchen, relaxing in the garden or 'surfing' on the sofa. You are very welcome to come and go as you please at any time of the day or night. Interaction with GuestsI work and study from home and am in and out all the time, but will generally be here on arrival and departure to greet you. If you have any questions about the facilities or local amenities I'll be very happy to answer them for you or gather any extra information you'd like. The NeighborhoodMy house is set on a lovely, leafy residential street and within an easy walk to the Manchester Metrolink tram service, Old Trafford, Lancashire County Cricket Club, Victoria Warehouse, along with many other local amenities. Popular Chorlton is just a 10 minute walk away, where you'll find 3 major supermarkets, many cafes, bars and restaurants, this is a great and safe area, personally I'd feel safe and happy to walk home at 1am on my own! There are at least 2 areas / parks close by to my home, the lovely manicured gardens in Longford Park for easy strolling and only 3 minutes walk from my home or the more natural area of Chorlton Ees with the River Mersey running through it, it's great again for walking in or even better for a decent sized run! Getting AroundThe Metrolink tram stop is a 4-minute walk from my home, taking you to the city centre in just 12 minutes or directly to or from Manchester Airport from my street! The house was built in 1901 and has retained a lot of its original features so is a great example of a traditional Victorian home :) Guest Access*Shared bathroom *Wifi *TV in bedroom Although we have never been asked by guests, we do have a washing machine but no dryer so it may be difficult drying clothes quickly during your stay although you are more than welcome! We may be busy but will try to attend to guests and make you feel as welcome as possible and meet any needs you may have - please don't be afraid to knock/ring/message us if you need anything at all :) The NeighborhoodWe live in a nice tree lined neighbourhood in quite a typical suburban setting. The Trafford Centre is a 20 minute walk away with buses running regularly. Getting AroundThere is a local train station 5 mins walk away which connects to Manchester City centre in 8 minutes and runs twice an hour during the day (less frequent at night) and there are bus stops within a couple of minutes walk.
