In addition to these, the cities of LIVERPOOL and CHESTER, with their cathedrals, art galleries and shops are less than 30 minutes' drive away. One of the largest Marks & Spencers in Britain is only 20 minutes away, together with a large Outlet village and cinema complex.
20 minutes away is also the seaside resort of NEW BRIGHTON. It has recently undergone a £60 million redevelopment scheme and contains plenty of restaurants, a casino, the Light cinema, a bowling alley and Laser Quest.
Along the coast, there is Fort Perch Rock, a coastal defence battery which is open throughout the year. It features an Aviation and Archeology Museum, as well as the 'Luftwaffe over Merseyside' permanent exhibition. Nearby is also Perch Rock lighthouse. Getting AroundThere are buses to Liverpool from the bottom of the road and railway stations a few minutes' drive away.
Other Things to NoteThe guesthouse is part of my home so I will be around much of the time, and certainly to greet guests, serve meals and service the rooms. If I am not around at other times, I will always be contactable if you have any questions or problems.
I am a lively, energetic person who likes meeting people. I am a trained professional, Cordon Bleu chef with my own small catering company. I play golf and am a member of Royal Liverpool Golf Club, where the Open was played in 2014. I play Bridge at a local Bridge Club and I am a prolific Textile Artist, the proof of which covers all the walls in my house! I like gardening and am currently landscaping the garden of No. 4.
