The area is Scots Irish - the land of the Hamely Tongue. It is not a sectarian thing as the accent is common to all! It comes from the narrow bit of sea between Northern Ireland and Scotland, also the Plantation of Ulster. Hopefully you will not need an interpreter as most natives are bilingual! The traditional music is also a mixture of Irish and Scottish and may be heard in most bars and hotels during the Summer months. Not to be missed! 3 star two bedroom farm cottage with free WiFi.
