The SpaceThe Cave was originally a farming storehouse which was renovated in 2004 by the owner and architect Babis Chiotis. Turned it into a beautiful relaxing place with a special 'aura', ideal for those who seek peace of mind and privacy, fully equipped with modern equipment and facilities. A “home atmosphere", enhanced by the smell of fresh vegetables and seasonable products from the local community. Experience what is like living in a traditional cave restored to perfection using traditional and ecological materials to accommodate the needs of a modern vacation house.
An atmospheric cave, where the walls have been refurbished keeping the ideal temperature both in summer and in winter time. The house keeps a very comfortable temperature all year round. It has recently been restored with respect to the unique local architecture and has been provided with the basic kitchen supplies and cutleries and a fridge. There is also a dining table, a sofa and of course you can also enjoy your meal at the terrace where you will find table and comfy chairs. The build- in beds and the modern styled furniture combined with the antique objects, give a balance to the place..Sleep in nature! The house can very comfortably accommodate up to 3 persons; there is a double bed (160X 200cm) and a single one. Interaction with GuestsWe will welcome you at your check in, inform you about the Cave and all the tips you might need for a pleasant stay. We will provide you a seasoning collection of fresh vegetables and fruits from the farms near the house, fresh milk and eggs from goats and chickens living close to the house where you can have access too. Upon request we can order fresh cheese, wine and Fava for you and the best pork or goat fresh meat that could be cooked in the traditional way in a fire oven!
Due to its unique position on the side of a mountain, the guests must rent a car if they are experience drivers or even better a scooter or a 4 wheel motorbike (which is fundamental to visit the island). The only cars that are able to drive through the narrow street that bring to the house are Smart,Athos, Panda,Matiz... The NeighborhoodEmporios village is situated on the south center of the island of Santorini, about 12 Km from Thira. A traditional village, untouched by the time and tourism, offering to every visitor the opportunity to relish the authentic lifestyle of Santorini. There are local farmers and free-range farming around the Villa that you can visit for supply or even collect your own products. The impressive village of Emporio with its 15-century A.D. Medieval fortified caste (Castelli) is the most well preserved settlement of Santorini. The castle, situated in the center, surrounded by small traditional houses, vineyards and tomato plants, overviews the seaside.
Emporio's narrow roads forbid the use of a normal car which adds to the mystical quietness of the place, making it an ideal one for relaxation.
