The SpaceThis 53 sq.m. apartment is located on the 2nd floor, and at the back of the building, thus making it a quiet place to come back to after a busy day in Athens. It features one bedroom, one bathroom, a living room and a kitchen.
The air-conditioned bedroom is furnished with a built-in closet and a comfortable double bed, and stocked with linen and blankets for your comfort. The living room, which can also be converted into a bedroom for two through its sofa bed, features an air conditioner and a SAT TV. Both the bedroom and the living room open up to a long balcony that overlooks an open air garden, with a touch of colour in the midst of the concrete. It is a great spot from which one can enjoy their morning coffee or tea. In the kitchen, guests will find a fridge, stove with oven, a french coffee maker, a toaster and an electric kettle. The kitchen is also stocked with tea, coffee and sugar so you can have a cuppa immediately upon arrival, but you can also cook a simple meal here, if you wish to. Salt, pepper and cooking oil are provided for this purpose, as are pots, pans, plates, glasses and other kitchen utensils. For more supplies, a few supermarkets can be found within five minutes walking distance. The living room sits four people comfortably. The bathroom is functional and bright and comes with a tub. You will also find a washing machine here, should you wish to do some laundry. Detergent is provided and there is plenty of drying space, along with pegs, out in the balcony. An iron with an ironing board, a hair dryer, towels, shampoo and shower gel are provided, as well. A vacuum cleaner is also available, and cleaning supplies are stored under the kitchen sink. Guest AccessGuests have access to the entire second floor apartment. Interaction with GuestsEither one of my sisters will be there to welcome you to the apartment, answer any of your questions and generally assist in whatever you require. I will be available to answer questions by email. Upon check out, please place the keys on the red shelf in the hallway before exiting the flat.
A red folder containing information about services in the neighbourhood is placed in the apartment for your convenience. The NeighborhoodThe apartment is located on the borders of Ilisia and Zografou. This is a friendly residential neighbourhood with great amenities. Supermarkets, souvlaki take-away, cafés, traditional cooked food eateries, bakeries, pharmacies, ATMs and other stores all within a 5-minute radius. Please consult the map found in the red folder for the precise location of these services. Major hospitals and clinics, such as Alexandras and IVF Serum, are also within walking distance. Please note that in Athens, odd numbers are on one side of the road, and even numbers on the other. Getting AroundThe city centre is just 15-20 minutes by public transport: you can either take the bus that stops right in front of the house (Bus 220, every 10 minutes or so), or walk a block down to get any of the 5 buses that stop there (buses (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)). Most buses will take you to Syntagma square, from which you can walk to the Monastiraki area, while some will go down to Omonoia Square. More information on this can be found in a red folder in the apartment, or sent to you by email upon request. The Metro is further down the road, about four blocks away and a 10-15 minute walk from the station called 'Megaro Moussikis'.
To get to the apartment from the airport, you can either take a taxi (38€ flat rate) or the Metro (6€). For other fares and ticket options, please refer to: (URL HIDDEN)
If you are coming via the port of Pireas, you can either take a taxi, or the Metro (green line). If you choose the latter option, you will need to change over to the blue line at 'Monastiraki' stop and get off at 'Megaro Moussikis'.
Street parking is free, and availability depends on the time of day. Other Things to Note* Please communicate arrival time and mode of arrival (by plane, ferry, train, etc.) when placing an inquiry, so I can make arrangements for welcoming you to the flat.
