The SpaceApartment number 2 is a two bedroom apartment located on the first floor on the sea side of the building (one bedroom) and also on the street side (the other bedroom). You will enjoy a one of kind sea view with the fortezza castle in a unique landscape. The apartment facilities include a small kitchenette, bathroom, AC, TV, free wifi, balcony (sea view). Enjoying your breakfast on the balcony and watching the sunrise above the fortezza castle is an experience worth living for. The apartment is very clean, it is definitely an excellent choice for your stay. In addition we do offer cleaning service every 2 or 3 days, free of charge!. Mamangakis Apartments are about one kilometer away the city center but it's a beautiful walk or ride with your bicycle, taking advantage of the new bicycle route on the sidewalks of the town. Within a range of 100-150m you will find parking, the best restaurants in town (also right on the sea), souvlaki place, courier service and internet cafe for your breakfast and other needs. There is a bus stop right outside of our apartments that takes you to the university and another bus stop across the street that takes you to the city center. The garden is available for all our guests and you may feel free to enjoy your meal or reading a book at your convenience. From the garden you step right on the beach! You do not have to walk outside the building or cross busy streets. You will be amazed how close you are on the sea. Interaction with GuestsAs a host i am always willing to help and welcome my guests. Most of the times this is how it goes. But due to family affairs or business matters I am not always present at the apartments. However my mother who is living in the same building is also willing to help at all times. In addition airbnb messaging service is something that i follow almost 24hr so contacting me is easy. If you read reviews from my guests you will understand how much i value my guests' presence at my place. The NeighborhoodKoubes is the name of our neighbourhood. It is the west side of the city centre. This place is blessed to have a beautiful small, almost private beach for it's residents. This area is also very popular for it's top of the line restaurants and lounge bars. There are quite a few to name. Try our next door restaurant or PrimaPlora (150m down the road) are both excellent! Two doors down you will find Gallera another excellent taverna, very affordable with magnificent scenery and tasty dishes. Cavo (close to PrimaPlora) is a lounge bar & restaurant, kind of club for the locals for a drink later in the afternoon or a little after midnight. Across the street you may find a coffee place for croissants, coffees etc. Going towards the city center you may find “Noulis” another coffee and snack place a highly recommended one. A little bit further (250m from our apartments) there is a small mini market for basic stuff (such as groceries, milk to toilet paper) In case you need a big supermarket you may keep going towards the city center and right before you get in it you will see a big building on your right which is SYNKA super market with emphasis on local products. Or you could go westwards from our apartments and uphill (about 700m) where you will find a Lidl s/m (better if you have a car). A bank ATM machine is available little before reaching city center. Our location is a great value for you vacation. Not far from city centre but far enough to avoid crowds & traffic. You are right on the beach with jaw dropping sea view, very close to the city’s main bus terminal (just a 10min walk) and finally very close to the island’s main highway that gives you the opportunity to explore the rest of the island fast and easy enough avoiding local traffic. Getting AroundThe main bus terminal (aka KTEL) is only a 10min walk from our apartments. Taking a taxi from city centre to our apartments or vice versa is not more than 5€ - 7€. In addition the island's main highway (aka VOAK) is only 700m away (uphill), a 2min drive and you are on the highway and on your way to the ends of the island or its airports. You may reach Rethymno and our apartments in 3 different ways. By car rental, by taxi or by bus. • Renting a car i would say is the best way and the most affordable. It might be a bit stressful on the street but not that hard for a medium & careful driver. • Taking a taxi either from the airport or with an arrangement (i could arrange such a taxi for you) would cost you from 90 euros (arranged taxi) to 120 euros (airport taxi). • Finally you could also take the bus which would be the most affordable way but a bit of a trouble. You first you should take a taxi to the city center of Heraklio or Chania (whichever airport you land) and to the KTEL bus service main terminal. From there, there is a bus every hour departing to Rethymno's KTEL bus terminal. From Rethymno main bus terminal (KTEL) we are a 10-15min walk or a 5-7euro taxi. As of 2016, KTEL service offers direct connection rides from Chania airport (only) to Rethymno bus terminal 3 times the day, morning, noon and evening. Either find out specific times on KTEL's webpage or ask me as they do change overtime. Other Things to NoteWell in Rethymno you will be able to do quite a few things... apart from eating and shopping... a. you may relax and enjoy the scenery from our garden or your apartment balcony... the view is amazing. b. go for walks or running around the fortezza castle c. there are many bars open for a nice night life experience d. you may have fun on sea sports on the city long beach (parasailing, jet skis etc at Popeye or Ikarus sea sports, Scuba at Evelin Diving) e. rent a bicycle or motorbike and explore the countryside... within 30min ride you will be in a beautiful village like Argyroupoli f. rent a car and explore more countryside or the south part of the island which is rich with super amazing beautiful beaches and sceneries. g. have a tattoo... many tattoo artists around. h. go on a safari trip ... with an off road jeep or atv i. get on the pirate ship for a nice cruise j. arrange a hike to Samaria gorge... bus picks you up from the apartment k. visit the water parks in Chania or Heraklio l. visit Knossos, archaeological monument in Heraklio... bus picks you up from the apartment m. have a day trip to Santorini (Tuesdays and Saturdays only i think) n. get on the red bus for a city tour and view the city from the bus roof... that's all i can think out of my head right now... you could always visit a travel agent for more attractive activities.

The SpaceProbably our best apartment. It has the perfect balcony to enjoy the whole horizon, sea view and the venetian castle of fortezza. On the inside you will find a clean, well organized and really decent place to stay. A small kitchen with fridge is available along with wc, ac, tv, free wifi and surely REAL quietness (only the sea waves...) The feelings on having your breakfast on the balcony or in the garden watching the sun rise above the fortezza is a picture you will never forget. The SpaceThe Stone villas are 3 comfortable holiday homes on a slope above the bay of Rethymno in the western half of Crete. The two smaller villas each have 80 square meters of dwelling space and 5 beds. The bigger villa has 95 square meters of dwelling space and 6 beds. The living-rooms cover satellite colour TV sets, DVD and CD players, and open fireplaces. Each villa has ADSL WLAN internet access (WiFi). All bedrooms have separate air conditioning units. In each living-room there is also a convertible sofa which on demand will serve as an additional accommodation. The kitchen equipment is modern and very comprehensive. It includes electric hobs with 4 plates, ovens, microwave ovens, and integrated refrigerators/freezers. Seawards, there is one private garden in front of each living-room, each garden covering a sun terrace and a 23 square meters swimming pool. Views range far over the bay and the sea, over the town and the port of Rethymnon, and towards Cape Drapanon as well as to the White Mountains. The nearest sandy beach is an 1,000 meters footwalk away. Your holiday villas provide The two-storey row-house villas are mostly constructed from natural stone and towards the sea side have private gardens which are separated from each other by hedgerows. The gardens and the foregarden have lawns, flowers and other ornamental plants. Furthermore, the 8,000 sqm areal covers many olive-trees as well as some fig-trees and vines. Harvesting (in late summer and autumn) is permitted. In front of each living-room there is a terrace with garden furniture. Sunshades and deck chairs are available by the swimming pools, and each villa also has a barbecue. In each of the gardens there is a natural stone framed swimming pool of 23 sqm size (operated from April till November). The shallow section in each swimming pool is 90 centimetres deep, the maximum depth is 1.60 meters. At dusk, the lamps in the foregarden switch on automatically while the lamps in the gardens can be switched on and off individually. Villa 5 beds villa #1 The westernmost of the 3 villas has 80 sqm of dwelling space on 2 floors and provides 5 beds. The main entrance is located at the west front. Northwards, there are the Aegean Sea and the private swimming pool which is framed by lawns. On 3 sides the villa is framed by gardens. Indoor The living-area on the ground floor includes the living-room with couch set and open fireplace, and the dining-area with an integrated open-plan kitchen. On the ground floor there are also two bedrooms, one of them with a double bed and the other one with a single bed. Both are located towards the sea and share one common balcony. A bathroom with a bath-tub is located on the ground floor as well. On the top floor there is a third bedroom with a double bed, and sea view. It has a separate shower bathroom. This bedroom also has windows on the north side towards the sea, and another window on the west side with views of the town, the port and the bay of Rethymno, and of the White Mountains. In the living-room there is a convertible sofa which on demand will serve as a sixth accommodation (against surcharge). Outdoor Wide glass sliding-doors at the sea front of the living-room open towards a terrace. From there, some steps lead down to the garden. The garden is separated from the garden of the neighbouring villa by a hedgerow. Garden furniture, deck chairs and a large umbrella are available. The swimming pool has 23 square meters of size. It is framed by natural stone and located about in the middle of the garden. Green lawn surrounds the swimming pool, and the garden borders are decorated with small olive-trees, flowers and other ornamental plants. The shallow section in the swimming pool is 90 centimetres deep, the maximum depth is 1.60 meters. Villa 5 beds villa #2 The easternmost of the 3 villas has 80 sqm of dwelling space on 2 floors and provides 5 beds. It is constructed mostly symmetrical to Villa 5 beds villa #1. As the areal slightly ascends towards East, the terrace in front of the living-room however is only one step above garden level. The main entrance is located at the east front. Northwards, there are the Aegean Sea and the private swimming pool which is framed by lawns. On 3 sides the villa is framed by gardens. Indoor The living-area on the ground floor includes a living-room with couch set and open fireplace as well as a dining-area with integrated open-plan kitchen. Wide glass sliding-doors at the sea front of the living-room open towards the terrace and the garden. A bedroom with a double bed, and another bedroom with a single bed are located on the ground floor as well. Both have sea views and share a common balcony. Cavo (close to PrimaPlora) is a lounge bar & restaurant, kind of club for the locals for a drink later in the afternoon or a little after midnight. Across the street you may find a coffee place for croissants, coffees etc. Going towards the city center you may find “Noulis” another coffee and snack place a highly recommended one. A little bit further (250m from our apartments) there is a small mini market for basic stuff (such as groceries, milk to toilet paper) In case you need a big supermarket you may keep going towards the city center and right before you get in it you will see a big building on your right which is SYNKA super market with emphasis on local products. Or you could go westwards from our apartments and uphill (about 700m) where you will find a Lidl s/m (better if you have a car). A bank ATM machine is available little before reaching city center. Our location is a great value for you vacation. Not far from city centre but far enough to avoid crowds & traffic. You are right on the beach with jaw dropping sea view, very close to the city’s main bus terminal (just a 10min walk) and finally very close to the island’s main highway that gives you the opportunity to explore the rest of the island fast and easy enough avoiding local traffic. Getting AroundThe main bus terminal (aka KTEL) is only a 10min walk from our apartments. Taking a taxi from city centre to our apartments or vice versa is not more than 5€ - 7€. In addition the island's main highway (aka VOAK) is only 700m away (uphill), a 2min drive and you are on the highway and on your way to the ends of the island or its airports. You may reach Rethymno and our apartments in 3 different ways. By car rental, by taxi or by bus. • Renting a car i would say is the best way and the most affordable. It might be a bit stressful on the street but not that hard for a medium & careful driver. • Taking a taxi either from the airport or with an arrangement (i could arrange such a taxi for you) would cost you from 90 euros (arranged taxi) to 120 euros (airport taxi). • Finally you could also take the bus which would be the most affordable way but a bit of a trouble. You first you should take a taxi to the city center of Heraklio or Chania (whichever airport you land) and to the KTEL bus service main terminal. From there, there is a bus every hour departing to Rethymno's KTEL bus terminal. From Rethymno main bus terminal (KTEL) we are a 10-15min walk or a 5-7euro taxi. As of 2016, KTEL service offers direct connection rides from Chania airport (only) to Rethymno bus terminal 3 times the day, morning, noon and evening. Either find out specific times on KTEL's webpage or ask me as they do change overtime. Other Things to NoteWell in Rethymno you will be able to do quite a few things... apart from eating and shopping... a. you may relax and enjoy the scenery from our garden or your apartment balcony... the view is amazing. b. go for walks or running around the fortezza castle c. there are many bars open for a nice night life experience d. you may have fun on sea sports on the city long beach (parasailing, jet skis etc at Popeye or Ikarus sea sports, Scuba at Evelin Diving) e. rent a bicycle or motorbike and explore the countryside... within 30min ride you will be in a beautiful village like Argyroupoli f. rent a car and explore more countryside or the south part of the island which is rich with super amazing beautiful beaches and sceneries. g. have a tattoo... many tattoo artists around. h. go on a safari trip ... with an off road jeep or atv i. get on the pirate ship for a nice cruise j. arrange a hike to Samaria gorge... bus picks you up from the apartment k. visit the water parks in Chania or Heraklio l. visit Knossos, archaeological monument in Heraklio... bus picks you up from the apartment m. have a day trip to Santorini (Tuesdays and Saturdays only i think) n. get on the red bus for a city tour and view the city from the bus roof... that's all i can think out of my head right now... you could always visit a travel agent for more attractive activities.

The apartments were artfully restored in 2003, always with respect towards the traditional Cretan architecture. The SpaceIn 1900 it was first built but been fully rebuilt and operated in 2012. This historical building can accommodate up to 15 people since it’s a 500 sqm building with a 100 sqm private pool. It’s excellent for big groups that want to be situated in the middle of Crete, giving you the chance to visit the entire island. This building is divided in three different houses/apartments along with a breakfast/dinner area, a communal kitchen and that’s because in two of the small apartments there is no kitchenette. Only in the big house (130sqm), where its name came from the owner that first build the house ‘Spanos’, there is a fully equipped kitchen along with a living room, a dining area, two double bedrooms, two bathrooms. It can take up to 7 people and it’s situated on the top of the building. In the lower level the other apartment ‘Fournos’ can take up to 5 people since there is one double bedroom, one bedroom with two single beds, one living area along with a dining table and one bathroom. Next to ‘Fournos’ our last apartment is named ‘Axeronas’ and can sleep 3 people since there is only on double bed and one sofa bed in the living room. All of them have Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, Satelite TV & LCD TV with USB input, fireplace, living room and refrigerators. There is a communal area where you can find a large flat screen TV, DVD, Stereo system, play cards, some other games like backgammon, a PC with printer and fax machine. Next to this area the dining area for the entire group and a communal kitchen is there for you to prepare your dinner or breakfast. For a small fee the owners can prepare your breakfast or dinner if you wish to relax and do nothing at all. On the outside and within the 20 acres of land, there is ‘Dafni’ the owner’s horse where guests can take her for a ride. By the pool there is a BBQ area and a small bar where you can sit and enjoy the panoramic views of the landscape. The pool is 100 square metres, with a depth of 1.60 metres, children’s pool 40cm deep, with overflow system providing sodium chloride electrolysis. The seawater has emollient properties so that the skin and hair retain their smooth texture and do not become dry and brittle as happens when using chlorine. Another very important factor is that when the water passes through the electrodes, chloramines (‘dead chlorine’ which causes the chlorine smell and stinging eyes) are destroyed, leaving the water fresh and healthy, and ideal for children. The NeighborhoodEpiskopi is a small town near to the city of Rethimno, built at 120 m a.s.l. overlooking the northern coast of Crete, and the green and fertile valley of Mousselas river. Episkopi is the administrative and commercial centre of the area, providing quite a few facilities. The main occupation of its 900 inhabitants is agriculture, producing mainly olive oil. In Greek language, Episkopi means Diocese and is common to many villages in Crete, that used to house in the past the bishop's offices. The religious past of the area is obvious now to the visitor, as there are everywhere churches, some of them with remarkable frescoes. Indeed, the village of Episkopi was the Diocese of the area during the Byzantine Period. The old Episcopal church of St. Nicholas is, unfortunately, destroyed. The village is fairly old and it’s mentioned at the archives having 446 inhabitants before 1583. Due to its geographical location, between Apokoronas and Rethimno, it used to be the theatre of numerous battles in the past, especially during the turkish occupation. The homonym beach Episkopi is located 2 Kms southern from the village, in a fertile valley with lowlands. The beach is bounded on the west by the river Mouselas and west by the river that runs in the gorge of Petres, next to Zourida bridge. It is a long beach, 3.5km long, which is sandy and shallow, like most beaches of Northern Crete. It is very well organised, since there are many hotels, restaurants, taverns, bars and all the amenities one could need. In the western part of the beach you can find places with lifeguards, showers, changing rooms, umbrellas, snack bars, water sports, etc., perfect for children. However, given its large size, you can certainly find a quiet spot, especially in the eastern part. Lastly, at the beginning of the beach on the east side there is an opportunity for naturism. Then you could visit the neighbouring village of Argiroupolis, with its springs and lush vegetation…a taste of Cretan paradise, breathtaking view for your eyes, calming water sounds from waterfalls for your ears and divine taste for your mouth! All that combined at once, along with the traditional Cretan hospitality! Moreover, Lake Kournas is also located in close proximity. A beautiful freshwater lake in the midst of a mountain backdrop, you can sunbathe around the lake, there are sun beds, or if you prefer, go swimming in the lake, hire a pedalo (it takes about an hour to get all around the lake) or enjoy a meal in one of the plenty restaurants around the lake. Also, a tennis court could be found in Kournas area. Furthermore, Petres beach is located at the eastern end of the vast beachfront of Episkopi It is named after the imposing Petres Gorge that finishes here. All around there are some facilities such as rooms, restaurants, a diving school, etc. In the main cove of Vythos, which lies north of the others, there are umbrellas and it is less sandy. The rocky seabed is ideal for fishing and snorkelling. Access to Episkopi beach is very easy, because the highway connecting Rethymnon and Chania runs alongside the beach. Thus. you can get there either by car or by bus. There are frequent bus services to/from Chania and Rethymno cities. To reach the village by car it is more convenient to follow the new national road, until the beach of Petres and then turn to the south. The NeighborhoodArgyroupolis is a small town of the county of Rethymno, built at 260m a.s.l. between the rivers "Mousselas" and "Petres". It lies 5km from Episkopi beach. Its 700 inhabitants are mainly farmers and stock breeders. There is a police station, post office, gas station, taverns and other tourist facilities. At 11km from Argyroupolis town it is a nice, wide and 400m long beach, with clear waters and small grayish sand and pebbles.The headland to the east separate Korakas Beach from another lovely beach named "Klimata". Guests should definately visit the almost exotic location "Springs" with luxuriant vegetation of perennial plane trees, small beautiful waterfalls, ponds, brooks and gurgling streams that move several watermills. Ideal location for coffee, drinks, or delicious food in an environment that really whet the appetite. In the same area you can see the small church of St. John and the Holy Force, built under a large rock. The access from Rethymnon is possible by public bus, by taxi, but the best way to explore the area is by rented or private cars and motorbikes. The SpaceBuilt in modern architecture, each -three storey- villa is 145 sq.m. in size and can accommodate up to 6 persons. On the ground floor there is a spacious living room with fireplace, an open plan fully equipped kitchen, a dining room and a WC. The living room gives to a verandah that is furnished by a six chair table for meals in the open air. Furniture is modern and the space is lighted with modern low backlight. On the first floor there are three bedrooms. Two of them have double matrimonial beds and the third one is twin. The bedrooms have mattresses of natural products that can be used both sides: one side is made by natural latex that makes it soft for comfortable sleep and the other side has an anatomic memory. One of the bedrooms has a big terrace with nice view, equipped with modern wooden pergola for sunshade and furnished with a relaxing couch. The other two bedrooms have small balconies. On the first floor there is also a bathroom with Jacuzzi bathtub and relaxing low backlight. In the basement there is a shower bath and a washing machine. The SpaceThe villa consists of 2 buildings in two different levels - a 120 sqm main house and a 50 sq m separated studio. The villa can accommodate 8 people in beds and up to 9 people if it is necessary. The main house on the ground level has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen and lounge. The house is equipped with air conditioning and a fireplace. The kitchen is fully equipped with kitchenware and home appliances such as dishwasher, microwave, toaster and coffee machine. The first bathroom is equipped with a washing machine and hair dryer, while the second bathroom has a luxurious jacuzzi cabin. The SpaceThis 140m2 apartement is on the 5th floor (the highest you can get in Rethymno) of a block of flats mostly inhabited by young families and some university students. Therefor it enjoys a vast roof garden terrace with 180° breathtaking seaviews. Its living room has direct access to the roof garden terrace. It's been decorated using mostly white colours in order not to abstract the eye from its breathtaking seaviews. Most of its furniture is made out of inox and leather and it was designed by famous architects in the early 20th century such as Le Corbusier and Mies van der Rohe. This design furniture is nicely mixed and matched with a 200 years old carved, wooden dining table and the details made out of local white marble on the bookcase and the fireplace, designed by the owner. The kitchen is fully equiped with electric oven, cooker and barbeque, coffee machines etc. It has also a dining area with breathtaking seaviews over the Venetian castle and the roof tops of the town of Rethymno. The apartment has three bedrooms. The master bedroom, has a twin/double bed and an en suite bathroom with two washing basins and a big shower cabin. The other two bedrooms have one single bed each. But, in case that 5 people need to stay in the apartment, one of the single beds can be turned to twin. Those two bedrooms share a second bathroom with another two washing basins and a bathtub. The kitchen and the bedrooms are either seaview or partially seaview and they all have direct access to a 2m wide balcony that surrounds them. This balcony is full of pots planted with any kind of mediterranean aromatic herbs one might need for cooking. I wait for the guests to welcome them upon their arrival, show them around the apartment and its amenities and then be avaliable at least on my phone, for for any info/help the guests might need. The NeighborhoodThe area where my penthouse apartment is situated is a residence area in the modern part of the town of Rethymno 300m away from its vast sandy beach and a 15min walk away of its old town. Therefore this area has several supermarkets, butcher shops, bakeries etc to service the locals but at the same time, being so close to the beach, it has many 5* and 4* hotels and the shops, banks, restaurants and cafes that their guests often use. The road where the apartment is situated is a dead end so you practically you don't have any traffic noise. Also at the east of the block of flats, just next to it, there is a stream with canes and local cypress trees that goes all the way back to the pine forest covered hills at the south of Rethymnon. So one can often instead of the expected town noise listen to frogs croaking or birds twitting often even on the branches of the roof garden trees. Getting AroundIn case the guests don't want to walk to the old town, the apartment is 100m away of the town bus stop.

The beach Episkopi is located really close, in a fertile valley with lowlands. The beach is bounded on the west by the river Mouselas and west by the river that runs in the gorge of Petres, next to Zourida bridge. It is a long beach, 3.5km long, which is sandy and shallow, like most beaches of Northern Crete. It is very well organised, since there are many hotels, restaurants, taverns, bars and all the amenities one could need. In the western part of the beach you can find places with lifeguards, showers, changing rooms, umbrellas, snack bars, water sports, etc., perfect for children. However, given its large size, you can certainly find a quiet spot, especially in the eastern part. Lastly, at the beginning of the beach on the east side there is an opportunity for naturism. Then you could visit the neighbouring village of Argiroupolis, with its springs and lush vegetation…a taste of Cretan paradise, breathtaking view for your eyes, calming water sounds from waterfalls for your ears and divine taste for your mouth! The SpaceABOUT THE VILLA newly built villa just outside the beautiful rustic village of Loutra. The building materials used are stones and marble, giving to the villas a unique traditional character along with a modern style. The village near the villas is a very quiet and nice one and everybody will feel and taste the real Cretan hospitality. The SpaceApartment number 10 is a bigger apt. It is actually a two bedroom apartment located on the garden level on the sea side of the building. This surely is the most quiet and most relaxing that you could get. You will enjoy a one of kind sea view with the fortezza castle in a unique landscape. The apartment facilities include a large kitchen room, two bathrooms, balcony (sea view), two wardrobes, free wifi and direct access to the street from its back door. The feelings on having your breakfast in the garden watching the sun rise above the fortezza is a picture you will never forget. The apartment is clean, even though there was no renovation for quite long time (you won't get fancy looking decoration nor designer-furniture) you will definitely get a decent and clean apartment for your stay. In addition we do offer cleaning service every 2 or 3 days, free of charge!. Mamangakis Apartments are about one kilometer away the city center but it's a beautiful walk or ride with your bicycle, taking advantage of the new bicycle route on the sidewalks of the town. If you read reviews from my guests you will understand how much i value my guests' presence at my place. The NeighborhoodKoubes is the name of our neighbourhood. It is the west side of the city centre. This place is blessed to have a beautiful small, almost private beach for it's residents. This area is also very popular for it's top of the line restaurants and lounge bars. There are quite a few to name. Try our next door restaurant or PrimaPlora (150m down the road) are both excellent! Two doors down you will find Gallera another excellent taverna, very affordable with magnificent scenery and tasty dishes. Cavo (close to PrimaPlora) is a lounge bar & restaurant, kind of club for the locals for a drink later in the afternoon or a little after midnight. Across the street you may find a coffee place for croissants, coffees etc. Going towards the city center you may find “Noulis” another coffee and snack place a highly recommended one. A little bit further (250m from our apartments) there is a small mini market for basic stuff (such as groceries, milk to toilet paper) In case you need a big supermarket you may keep going towards the city center and right before you get in it you will see a big building on your right which is SYNKA super market with emphasis on local products. Or you could go westwards from our apartments and uphill (about 700m) where you will find a Lidl s/m (better if you have a car). A bank ATM machine is available little before reaching city center. Our location is a great value for you vacation. Not far from city centre but far enough to avoid crowds & traffic. You are right on the beach with jaw dropping sea view, very close to the city’s main bus terminal (just a 10min walk) and finally very close to the island’s main highway that gives you the opportunity to explore the rest of the island fast and easy enough avoiding local traffic. Getting AroundThe main bus terminal (aka KTEL) is only a 10min walk from our apartments. Taking a taxi from city centre to our apartments or vice versa is not more than 5€ - 7€. In addition the island's main highway (aka VOAK) is only 700m away (uphill), a 2min drive and you are on the highway and on your way to the ends of the island or its airports. You may reach Rethymno and our apartments in 3 different ways. By car rental, by taxi or by bus. • Renting a car i would say is the best way and the most affordable. It might be a bit stressful on the street but not that hard for a medium & careful driver. • Taking a taxi either from the airport or with an arrangement (i could arrange such a taxi for you) would cost you from 90 euros (arranged taxi) to 120 euros (airport taxi). • Finally you could also take the bus which would be the most affordable way but a bit of a trouble. You first you should take a taxi to the city center of Heraklio or Chania (whichever airport you land) and to the KTEL bus service main terminal. From there, there is a bus every hour departing to Rethymno's KTEL bus terminal. From Rethymno main bus terminal (KTEL) we are a 10-15min walk or a 5-7euro taxi. As of 2016, KTEL service offers direct connection rides from Chania airport (only) to Rethymno bus terminal 3 times the day, morning, noon and evening. Either find out specific times on KTEL's webpage or ask me as they do change overtime. Other Things to NoteWell in Rethymno you will be able to do quite a few things... apart from eating and shopping... a. you may relax and enjoy the scenery from our garden or your apartment balcony... the view is amazing. b. go for walks or running around the fortezza castle c. there are many bars open for a nice night life experience d. you may have fun on sea sports on the city long beach (parasailing, jet skis etc at Popeye or Ikarus sea sports, Scuba at Evelin Diving) e. rent a bicycle or motorbike and explore the countryside... within 30min ride you will be in a beautiful village like Argyroupoli f. rent a car and explore more countryside or the south part of the island which is rich with super amazing beautiful beaches and sceneries. g. have a tattoo... many tattoo artists around. h. go on a safari trip ... with an off road jeep or atv i. get on the pirate ship for a nice cruise j. arrange a hike to Samaria gorge... bus picks you up from the apartment k. visit the water parks in Chania or Heraklio l. visit Knossos, archaeological monument in Heraklio... bus picks you up from the apartment m. have a day trip to Santorini (Tuesdays and Saturdays only i think) n. get on the red bus for a city tour and view the city from the bus roof... that's all i can think out of my head right now... you could always visit a travel agent for more attractive activities.

The SpaceVilla Alea 160 m2 is built on two levels. It has three bedrooms and can host up to six individuals. On the ground floor there is a lounge with fireplace, a dinning room and a fully equipped kitchen. The bedroom, with two single beds, has direct access to the private swimming-pool and the garden. The wooden stairs lead to the first floor of the villa, where there is the master bedroom with a double bed and an en-suite wc bath, and also a décor, with details that lend them particular colour and atmosphere. The high aesthetics is also reflected on the exterior premises of the villa, in the swimming-pool, in the lush garden with the olive trees, the bougainvilleas and other fruit-bearing trees, where you will offer yourself moments of relaxation. The SpaceThere are 4 apartments that can accommodate up to 10 persons, either as a company or groups of two. In every apartment there is a kitchen as well as full kitchen facilities (refrigerator, water boiler, oven, coffee machine etc.). Every apartment also has a shower, hair dryer, television and a balcony with exceptional view. Cleaning of the houses is done twice per week. When you arrive at the houses you will find in the fridge all you need to make your first breakfast. The exteriors also accommodate a 50m2 swimming pool, 200m2 grass field, swings for the kids, vegetable garden with vegetables as well as parking space. These apartments are situated at Aghios Konstantinos village, at a distance of 17,5km from the city of Rethymnon. The distance from the closest coast of the Cretan sea (Episkopi beach) is 9,5km, while from the Libyan sea (Plakias Beach) it is 20km. The closest airport and port is Akrotiri and Souda of Chania at a distance of 65 and 50 km respectively. Agios Konstantinos is built on a wide plateau and and spreads at a magical site, full of olive trees, vineyards and locust trees, cypress trees, oak trees among others. The plateau is cut by shallow gorges where you can see platan trees, oleanders and other aquatic plants and you can rest and drink water from the numerous small and large faucets. One can be easily enchanted by the color and the smells of the area and the songs of thousands of fancy birds that peak during spring. Agios Konstantinos existed as a settlement since ancient times, if we consider that for example in its “Acropolis”, on the location that now is the semi-ruined church of Saint Helias, there was a pre-Christianic temple of goddess Artemis. The previous temple that existed on the site of Agios Konstantinos was built on 913 AC. At the Byzantine period during the division of Crete in 12 principates (in 1182) by the emperor Alexios Komninos the 2nd, Agios Konstantinos and its surrounding district was given to Chortatzis. The village lived its best times when many noble Greeks and Venetians built there their holiday retreat properties and transformed the area into a holiday resort. Some of them had their primary residence in the village. Most known amonst them were families of Mussuri, Vlastos, Kontos, but also rich feudal lords such as the Barroccis, most famous of which was Francisco Barocci, Mathematician, Philosopher, Theologist and writer. His works still grace the Oxford Bodleian library. The residents of Agios Konstantinos village are hospitable and enterprising, evidence of which are the numerous small businesses that exist in the village: 4 restaurants (tavernas), 3 coffee shops (kafeneion), 2 mini-markets, a butcher’s shop, a grocery store, small sausage producing units, carpenters, many agricultural and farming units . The SpaceThis Villa is 140 sqm and is located in the beautiful small village Asteri, surrounded by olive groves. It is about 2,5 km far from the sandy beach of Sfakaki and 2,5 km from the bakery and the super market. In the village you will find a folklore museum and a traditional tavern with live music. The villa was built in January 2014 using organic materials such as stone and wood. The construction of the villa corresponds to the modern statutory energy saving standards and preserves fully the traditional Cretan character and the local cultural and environmental standards. So the guest will enjoy a high level of modern comfort. The villa has a 40 sqm. swimming pool with a separate children's pool. The swimming pool has a whirlpool-system and it is surrounded by sun loungers, umbrellas, tables and chairs, a barbecue and a wood oven. The SpaceThere are 2 large double-bed rooms (no single beds), 2 bathrooms, a spacious living room with fireplace & a piano and a fully equipped modern kitchen including microwave, espresso/cappuccino and filter coffee maker, various kid stuff like; plastic glasses, unbreakable plastic dishes, drinkware and tableware. Other kid stuff includes toys and a kids bike for 3-5 year old. There are two balconies in the first floor, one has a sea view and the other has a park view. On the second floor there is a spacious terrace with wonderful sea view, where you can enjoy the sunset. The rooms have quality furnishing and the first bedroom has a double bed (160 x 200cm), while the second has two single beds (90 x 200cm) that can also be joined together as a double bed. If there are five guests, then the extra person can sleep on the sofa. The centerpiece of the house is the open living and dining room with a fully-equipped kitchen and a nespresso coffee machine.     The SpaceThe villa operates all over the year; it is constructed with stone and wood in traditional style, and is situated on 20.000 m2 of farmland with olive trees, flowers and aromatic plants. Each building has its own swimming pool, air-conditioning, satellite TV, free wireless internet, fireplace and barbecue, and is fully equipped with a coffee machine, water boiler, kitchenette, fridge, iron, ironing board, hair dryer and washing machine. We offer olive oil, raki, wine and other seasonal products, as well as firewood in winter free of charge. At the villas Gerolakos you will find absolute peace. Nothing will bother you, except for the birds, the cicadas and the frogs at night. Moreover, there is access with special ramps and a suitable bathroom for the handicapped on the ground floor.
