Located in the 1st floor of the chill out building, is this studio flat 1 (artist Nest) featuring a generous size room with a big double bed (w lovely mosquito net), clean white cotton sheets & towels, duvet & comfy pillows, with a ceiling fan right above it. There is a chill out corner where one can eat, read, rest, etc. The kitchen is equipped with all essentials for cooking, coffee maker, stove, fridge, etc. The generous sized toilet has hot shower and western style toilet, all very clean ( I take cleaning seriously) and supplied with toiletries. There is a small balcony (not private) with a view to everyday day life of Indian families. The Artist Nest is funky decorated and has very good vibe. Fastest possible internet is available for guests. Pics coming soon! Guest Accessstudio, balcony & roof top. There is an good wifi signal. Nice new sheets & towels provided. Nice new pillows on the beds. The kichen has fridge, stove and the basic for self-catring (plates, cuttlery, pots & pans tea, coffee set, coffee making pot). Interaction with GuestsI live close by and am available to help out. I enjoy meeting new people and always do my best to accommodate my guests needs. I have devised an arambol survival pack with good tips.
If you want I can help you with motorbike rental, laundry and any other thing you may need for your stay. The NeighborhoodThis studio flat is located 3 min walk to the beach in a very nice indian neighbourhood, very central yet peaceful, and has all you need just around the corner, such as; washing, bike rental, restaurants, yoga (3 main arambol yoga shalas less than 2 min walk), internet shops, printing, booze, shops, beach, drum circle, etc.
If you like having everything close by on your holidays but like to avoid mass tourism, this location is for you. In high season there are also many events, workshops, live-music, parties, night-markets etc. to keep you entertained. Although it can get quite crowded during high season it is always very laid-back with much more of a alternative traveller vibe than a touristic one. Getting AroundArambol is not very big and everything is walkable distance. However its nice to rent a motorbike and check out the surrounding villages and beaches. All is explained in the survival pack.
There is a bus stop in Arambol, with buses from Mapusa, Panjim or Margao if you're coming by train from North India (closest train st is Pernem and the Thivim). From the airport a pre-paid taxi costs approx 1700INR with an old van. Other Things to NoteAlthough I have set up the fastest internet speed line for my guests, failures in the system are still common in India.
Please note that check in is from 3:00pm. to 9:00pm earlier/later check ins can be considered depending on availability.
check out is up to 11:00pm. I can keep your bags should you need to leave later on.
taxi pick up from airport (or anywhere in Goa) is available upon request - charge 1800 INR door to door with my trusted driver.
