The SpaceCedar Villa is a family owned & managed Home Stay, located in the Himalayan village of Bhariyata near Dalhousie, Himachal Pradesh, India.
The homestay is made in three floors. Ground level is occupied by the host family.
First level has two bedrooms with attached bathrooms and a living room. This floor has balconies on both sides, which offer a beautiful view of the valley and pine forest respectively.
Second floor has 2 bedrooms, 1 common bathroom, dining room and 2 balconies.
Television is available in the living room of the first floor. Mobile phone voice connectivity and Airtel 3G data connectivity is usually good in the area.
And to encourage the guests to spend more time exploring the surrounding, we discourage the need for the virtual world. Guest AccessGuests will have access to all areas of the house.... !!! Interaction with GuestsYour host Madhu & her family belong to the local area and will be able to guide your to short treks, walks and locations of interest around the home stay. Pictures of surrounding areas are also available.

•Train - nearest stations are Pathankot or Chakki Bank (80Kms). Both these stations fall on Delhi to Jammu train route.
oThere are several trains every day from Delhi to Pathankot or Chakki Bank Stations offering AC 1st Class, AC II and AC III class of travel.
oMany trains are over night i.e. they start from Delhi in the night and reach early morning at Pathankot or Chakki Bank stations.
oThis is a very busy train route and it is recommended that if you are coming by train, please book tickets early.
•Air- Nearest airport is Jammu (185 kms) or Gagal (110 kms) near Dharamsala
oSeveral flights connect Jammu from Delhi every day and from Bombay.
oThere are 2 flights every day from Delhi to Dharamshala (Air India and Spice Jet).
•Road-NH 1 from Delhi, through Ambala, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Pathankot (580 kms)
Just a suggestion:
Day 1:Arrive at Pathankot. Drive to Dalhousie. Spend the day at the home stay along with nature walk in the surrounding areas and visit to an ‘Apple Orchid' nearby.
Day 2:Visit to Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary (1/2 day) + Khajjiar (1/2 day)
Day 3:Visit to Tibetan Refugee Handicraft Centre, Bakratoa – Here you can see Tibetan Carpets in the making in traditional way on looms, some temples and a school within the premises of the centre. A great educational experience for your kids.
Second half of the day at Dainkund / Pohlani trek – This is the highlight of the trip to Dalhousie. A trek of approx 6 kilometers will take you to an altitude of about 9000 feet above mean sea level. Very highly recommended… TripAdvisor ranks this as No. 1 attraction in Dalhousie / Chamba area.
Day 4:Walking around Dalhousie town, visiting Gandhi Chowk, Subhash Chowk, Garam Sadak, Thandi Sadak, Sadar Bazar, Churches (a total of 5 churches in Dalhousie / Cantonment area from the time of the British), Shopping – Most famous items to buy are Wollen shawls, stoles, kullu caps, Chamba chuk (local chilli pickle), Chamba chappals etc.
Day 5:Visit to Chamera Dam site followed by departure to Dharamshal or Pathankot post breakfast for onward travel….
