    The SpaceA little further up is the valley of Cogne, in 1.534m height, located in the heart of the Gran Paradiso National Park, with its characteristic village and the wide fields of Sant'Orso nestled in conifer woods. Queen among the areas of cross country skiing, Cogne offers more than 80 km of slopes (12 rings), running under the peaks of Grivola and Gran Paradiso. The slopes start near the village. More limited is the route for downhill skiing (9km), whose territory includes two chairlifts, a ski lift and a gondola cableway. Epinel has 5km long cross-country skiing rings that, extending in the forest, are connected to Cogne. From the camper area set at the beginning of the village a ski bus runs every 20 minutes to the cableway station. The beautiful panoramas can also enjoyed without skiing, by walking along the trails that line the slopes, or during excursions with horse sleigh. The bedroom has no window and is separated from the living area by a sliding door.     The NeighborhoodCretaz is a lovely small village just a 15 minute walk from Cogne center. From Cretaz start many mountain trails that bring you in the heart of the Grand Paradis National Park. You will then enjoy uncontaminated alpine nature, wild chamois, marmots and the ibex (stambecco) emblem of the park. In the winter some snowshoe trails start from Cretaz and if you like cross-country skiing you will find the pistes just 2 minutes from the house. The pistes are well kept and will lead you to the 100km long network that connects the different valleys of the region. For downhill skiing, 50m from the house you may take the skibus that will bring you to the Cogne slopes otherwise the bus that goes to Aosta where a cable lift can take you to the Pila ski domain. Getting AroundParking is available and free just in front of the house.

Basking in the sun all day long thanks to its fortunate position, the cottage towers over the Cogne valley and stream. Surrounded by its own lawn which affords remarkable views in all directions, the house is a good starting point for many walks and excursions to the National Park of Gran Paradiso, famous for the beauty and wealth and of its mountain habitat and fauna. Excursions on horseback through pastures and ravines, with pleasant stops at mountain huts for a plate of polenta (the celebrated north-Italian corn-meal speciality) are also possible. In the winter, on the other hand, you can leave the house, skis directly under your feet, and reach the 80 kilometres of cross-country ski tracks for which this valley has attained world-wide fame. Slopes for downhill skiing, ski lifts and a skiing area specially for children are also available nearby. Further afield, children and grown-ups alike can rejoice in the vast enchanting panorama of the Pratone di Sant’Orso recreational park. Finally, the beautiful slopes of Pila are within easy reach of the house.           Three kilometres from Cogne, in the vicinity of the beautiful pastures of the small village of Epinel, the wood and stone house stands immersed in the wonderful scenery of the snow-capped peaks of the Gran Paradiso. Basking in the sun all day long thanks to its fortunate position, the cottage towers over the Cogne valley and stream. Surrounded by its own lawn which affords remarkable views in all directions, the house is a good starting point for many walks and excursions to the National Park of Gran Paradiso, famous for the beauty and wealth and of its mountain habitat and fauna. Excursions on horseback through pastures and ravines, with pleasant stops at mountain huts for a plate of polenta (the celebrated north-Italian corn-meal speciality) are also possible. In the winter, on the other hand, you can leave the house, skis directly under your feet, and reach the 80 kilometres of cross-country ski tracks for which this valley has attained world-wide fame. Slopes for downhill skiing, ski lifts and a skiing area specially for children are also available nearby. Further afield, children and grown-ups alike can rejoice in the vast enchanting panorama of the Pratone di Sant’Orso recreational park.
