Please feel free to contact me shall you need any assistance. The Neighborhood★AREA★
My listing is in Zushi, one of the best locations to see Japan's beautiful harmony with the sea and the land. It is near Kamakura, one of the oldest cities of Japan, in fact, just a 4 minute ride away from Zushi station.
Just 1 minute away from the sea, you can easily spend all day at the beach, watch the ever-changing vast skies and seas, indulge in sea sports, or simply enjoy the beach experience itself.
Zushi is also a great place to learn about Japanese history. Its vicinity to Kamakura means that it was very much at the center of Japanese politics in the ages when Kamakura was the capital, and the Nagoe Kiridoshi Pass, which connects Zushi and Kamakura, shows its importance to the people of the land.
From Zushi and Shin-Zushi stations, you have access to a wide array of locations. From Zushi station, you can get to Tokyo station directly in under an hour, so if you have a need to visit the capital, it is simply a matter of hopping on the train. For entertainment, Shin-Zushi station provides access to Kanazawa-Hakkei, from where you can access the Yokohama Seaside Line. The Yokohama Seaside Line, other than being a fantastic train to gaze out at the sea, can take you to Umino-Koen Park, a vast beach park with a bathing beach, Hakkeijima Sea Paradise, a brilliant amusement park built on an entire artificial island, and Mitsui Outlet Park, a vast facility with many shops selling items at (sometimes) amazing discounts.
Nagoe Kiridoshi Pass
Centuries-old pathways that lead from Zushi to Kamakura. It was a vital road and a military-wise strategic position centuries ago, and "yagura" can be found on the roadside. These are little hollows piled on each other, a vast installation thought to have been used as a burial site from the 13th century and the 15th century.
Kameoka Hachimangu Shrine
One of the many shrines in Zushi. It is unclear how old it is, as no records state of its existence before 1841. It has a calm, tranquil atmosphere, and a very cute statue of a turtoise. The land is said to have looked like the round back of a turtoise shell, hence the name "Kameoka" (Kame- Turtoise, Oka- Hill).
This is the only beach park in Yokohama city to have a bathing beach. It is a popular location for "shiohigari" or clam digging, a popular activity among children and adults. Accessible via the Yokohama Seaside Line.
Yokohama Hakkeijima Sea Paradise
A vast leisure land built on the artificial off the tip of Yokohama Bay, with a large aquarium, amusement rides, restaurants, and nature.
Mitsui Outlet Park Yokohama Bayside
One of the 13 outlet parks managed by Mitsui Fudosan. It is a large facility spanning over 31,000 square meters, built in the image of Nantucket, a small island off Massachusetts, America, with hundreds of shops lining the streets, selling products at amazing discounts. Getting Around★ACCESS★
