But we are happy to be your company while you stay here! The NeighborhoodVery peaceful (except occasional touring motor cyclers' noise) neighborhood with rich history. You can see traditional farmer's houses built hundreds of years ago.
Wild animals such as monkeys and boars come down from the forest a few times a year. Some red data species also inhabit in this area; some are beautiful and some are pretty grotesque looking, to be honest. Both equally come around the house.
You can enjoy both beauty and wildness here, though if you fear wild side of nature you should carefully consider booking here.
Life here makes us humble and appreciate the fact that the nature let us use their space.
1 Japanese home dish restaurant and 1 small local shop (for snacks, candies, and drinks) are within walking distance from our place. Around the local train station (approx 25 min walk, or 5 min bus/taxi from our place), there are some restaurants and food stores. Stores here close much earlier than those in city like Tokyo. Inconvenient! but you can experience the reality of Japanese country life :)!
Local festivals such as Fire Fly festival, Bon festival, farmers market, art & craft market etc are scheduled year round. Getting Around-By car: 10 min drive from the expressway exit. 1 free parking for a regular size car is available for free.
-To get around the local area: 2 sports bikes are available for free. Mix of walking, bus, taxi is the way people usually get around here.
-To the local train station from our house: 25min pleasant walk along river & trees, or 5 min drive by taxi/bus. Bus stops in front of our house.
-To Tokyo: the train from the local station goes straight to Tokyo (30 min to west end, 60 min to central, 90 min to east end).
-To Mt.Fuji: 90 min by a local train from the local train station. Other Things to NoteLocating in water resources in the forest, we are very careful for and sensitive to the weather. This community is safe, since no natural disaster has been reported over centuries. However, under any critical situations such as typhoons approaching, heavy rain/snow being forecasted etc., we might have to cancel your kind reservation for your safety even if the weather turned out to be fine after all.
December through March on average, the road around here get frosted after sunset through morning even on a sunny day. If you plan to drive here, please prepare studless/snow tires or snow chains.
