The SpaceThe entire apartment is for rent. It has a semi-double sized bed and a mattress for maximum three people and a fully equipped kitchen. This room is on the ground floor and we have an exact same room upstairs, so please contact us in case this room is booked on the date you want. Or, if you are more than three people, you may be able to book two apartments all together!
Internet: You can use a high speed WiFi in your room. You can also use Free portable WiFi during your stay which will allow you to connect to internet with your smartphone or other devices wherever you go. Guest AccessPlease feel at home during your stay.

-Mattress Interaction with GuestsThere is Kansai University nearby and a group of volunteer students can meet the guests and guide you around the area upon request. They can take you to cafes, restaurants, temples, tombs, for free of charge. Also, there is a cafe called Kokoima, where local residents interact with tourists. It is only 3 min walking distance from the apartment.
It is suitable for those who want to experience a local Japanese town. Sakai city is famous for its production of Japanese traditional cooking knife. Just one minute walk from the apartment, there is "Sasuke" one of the most well-known Japanese knives hand makers. The NeighborhoodThe district is popular for local residents because it is only 15 minutes to Namba by a train, at the same time, located in a very local and non-touristic area of Osaka. There is absolutely no hotel nearby, so you can observe a real life of ordinary Japanese people. It is close to local supermarkets, convenience stores, 24 hour open restaurants, massage place, public bath, temple, tomb, and you rarely see foreign tourists in these places. There is arts craft museum, traditional tea shop, Japanese knife making site, which is open to visitors. It has a good access to all tourist spots, like USJ, Nara, Kyoto, Kobe and Osaka city center.
The apartment is located in the city called Sakai. Sakai was one of the biggest port cities in Japan. It was a city of many merchants and artists. There are many temples, museums and tombs. There are shops for Japanese knives and incense. You can rent a bycicle and go around all these non-touristic spots. Getting AroundTrain is the best way to get around Japan. The apartment is located only 4 min walk from ASAKAYAMA station (浅香山駅) of Nankai line.
You can basically go to most tourist spots within one hour of train ride. Moreover, if you want to explore the area around the apartment on foot, there are places like arts crafts museum, traditional tea shop. incense shop, French/Japanese fusion cafe, and gardening scissors' blacksmith.
If you like a bicycle, you can rent one for 240 yen (2 dollars) per day from Sakai tourist information center in front of Sakai Higashi Station, which is one stop away from Asakayama station. With bicycle, you can explore Nintoku Emperor tomb, the largest tomb in Japan, tea museum, bicycle museum, Japanese garden, and all kinds of hidden spots around the town.
If you will base here and travel to cities including Kobe, Kyoto and Nara, we recommend you to buy 'Kansai Thru Pass' to save the cost.
If you will stay mainly in Osaka area, you can buy 'Osaka Amazing Pass (Nankai Expansion Version).'

The closest coin laundry is 5 min walk.
There is no private parking space. But there is paid parking right next to the the apartment. The fee is under 500 yen per day. Other Things to NoteThere is no cleaning service during your stay.
The train station is only 4 min walk from the apartment.
The mattress is ONLY for the third guest. If you are two, please use the bed only. If you use the mattress even though you are two, we may have to charge you extra.
The room is originally designed for two people, so it can be a bit small for three people. The mattress is for a child or guests who want to make their trip as economical as possible.
