The SpaceWe offer a bed in a modest large room for up to four people (plus possibly one child) on the ground floor of our house, looking onto the garden. This 1970s house is on the foothills of Mount Vodno, within 20 minutes' walk from the city’s main square, and features a garden with a hammock, lush vegetation and fruit trees. The room is quite basic, has 4 bunk beds, one expandable armchair, wall of built-in lockers, and a small desk/table. Larger sitting room with kitchen is at your disposal on the same floor.
Please note that if you reserve only one or two beds in this room, you may be sharing with other guests, dorm style.
The house is within 5 minutes from a supermarket. Free public parking is possible at a location nearby.
We call our place Sirma's House and it functions as a mini hostel during the summer - two bedrooms with shared kitchen, living/dining room and bathroom. Guest AccessOur WIFI is strong and it comes for free. Guests have a separate kitchen with dining table and sitting room space available to them to enjoy. There are also tables and chairs in the yard, for dining, having coffee or just sitting and socializing. Bathroom is shared with guests from the other guest room.
Tea and coffee is at your disposal in the kitchen. So are cups, dishes, basic pots and pans, and some spices.
The house is within 5 minutes walking from a supermarket. Free public parking is possible at a location nearby.
We can provide you with a local mobile sim card if you wish - you just need to purchase credit for it in a nearby convenience store.
We can arrange for a taxi pick up from the airport (20 Euro) or bus station if you give us the specifics of your arrival.

We live on the upper floor, so guests are on their own downstairs. Occasional coffee or glass of wine in the gardens is enjoyed by all. Check in is available as per agreement - we are not here all the time. The NeighborhoodTsrnitche is a desirable residential neighborhood of Skopje, right on the hill over the city. It is short walking distance to the very center, but also away. Being higher on the hill, the neighborhood has somewhat better air quality and it is cooler in the summer. In a city like Skopje where loud music is played in outdoor cafes late into the night, our neighborhood is the place for people who like to get a good night sleep. Getting AroundYou can walk, take a taxi (around 2 Euro from the center), or take bus #16 and get off the the Reptil Market stop.
Ask the taxi driver to turn on his taximeter and you shoudl not pay more than 150MKD from the center to our house. I would avoid the taxi drivers who approach you at the bus/train station. they are usually illegal and like to overcharge tourists. Arrange a pick up in advance, or walk away from the bus/train station and catch a cab at the nearby Vero Mall.
For transport form the airport it is best you book in advance. If you pick up am airport taxi, standard fare is 1200 MKD, not much more (you can tip the driver as much as you want, of course). If you want to be sure and get a lower price, you can make advance transport arrangements with this company: (URL HIDDEN) I highly recommend you book this way - it is cheaper and more reliable. Tell them I sent you.
If you take the Airport Bus, please get off at Holiday Inn and from there you can take a taxi or the bus to the house. (Ask at the hotel where bus 16 stops to go to Tsrnitche. Buses cost about 0.50 Euro a ride) Other Things to NoteStay with us if you like to experience a simple Skopje house. Please note that this house does not have central heating and as the weather gets colder, heating will be provided by electrical heaters (on and off basis) and hallways and other shared spaces may be chilly.
We do not have AC, but the ground floor is very cool in the summer, like natural AC.
Please note that Macedonian law requires that we charge each person 40 MKD a night in tourist tax. That is included in the listed price.
Macedonian laws require that each guest is registered in our books and through an online service and for that a proper ID is required (passport for foreign citizens, personal ID for Macedonian citizens).
