The SpaceA beautiful new property on a long sandy beach, swimming is perfect, surfing is so-so. To find the many attractions in this area, (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) Ensenada or Punta Banda and you will be amazed. La Bufadora is close by, hot springs on the beach are an easy stroll away, the Guadalupe Valley offers wine tours and tastings, great restaurants in Ensenada along with a new art museum and tons of shopping, from curios to beautiful clothes, leather goods and other items.
Punta Banda is a perfect family beach area; the beach is shallow for quite a way, the waves are gentle and occasionally even offer something for surfers. Our family has enjoyed vacations here for years and we hope other families can have the same experience. But, this is not just a "family" house, it's a great place for that reconnection weekend you and your significant other have talked about for ages, it's a fun house to entertain friends, great for house parties (notice, we did not say "drunken brawls") and it's the perfect place to visit alone when you're stressed out from the normal world. We can feel cares slipping away as we cross the border.
We have lived here, on and off, for over 25 years and still find it ideal. The weather is great, the ocean is ever changing, the people are terrific and the choices of things to do is never ending. We bought this property as a rental and our eventual home (first we have to pay it off!) and we live just down the street.
A holiday vacation at the beach is amazing, a wonderful way to get away from it all with your family and/or friends, and spend some quality time together without all the distractions. Fun shopping in Ensenada or at La Bufadora, much less hustle and bustle. Then come home, light the gas fire, watch the city lights and sip a little wine or a nice cup of tea.
There are boogie boards, kayaks and beach chairs for your use. Towels, kitchen equipment, shampoo, soap . . . just bring your clothes and food. There are several markets close by and a Walmart and Costco on your way from Ensenada to Punta Banda.
We have one king bed, one twin daybed, a bunk bed with a double on bottom and single on top, and a queen bed. A double futon is available if needed.
Our rates vary depending upon the season; please contact us for up to date information!!
We are currently having difficulties with the (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) map on this page; we are located about 20 miles south of Ensenada on the Punta Banda peninsula. We can send a correct map if requested and directions will be sent upon reservation.
We love ending the day with a glass of wine on one of the two the decks overlooking the ocean, going out early in the morning to watch the sunrise over the estuary, bike riding along the beach and watching people just kicking back and enjoying life. The fireplace provides a cozy spot on cooler days, and big glass doors open to allow breezes to flow through on warmer days. The beach is perfect for our grandchildren, who are now ages 4 months to 23 years -- hard to beat that! Dolphins in the evenings, pelicans all day, sea gulls scrapping overhead, little skittering birds along the water all provide entertainment. For some world class meals, Ensenada is close by. Local restaurants come and go and some are perfect for a day after the beach. They currently offer everything from good Mexican food to pizza to fish so fresh that it smiles up at you. If you want to do nothing, there are movies to watch on the DVD player, books galore to read in the "library" aka the bunk room, and lots of places for navel gazing and contemplation! We are available anytime should you need information or a fast repair or toilet paper or whatever.
Yoga classes, health studio, massages, organic market, ultra-light flights, horseback riding, hot springs, tide pools, nature reserve . . . all close to home and terrific places for you and your kids . . . or just you.
