After a beautiful 55-mile drive, you will go through the Ensenada toll plaza in San Miguel. From here there are 2 options. Option 1: A few hundred yards after the Ensenada toll gate, take the "Tijuana Libre" off-ramp. Follow this road for around 8 miles and you'll see a big sign to Ruta del Vino. Turn right here, and continue for around 6 miles. On your right you'll see a turn-off with smallish signs for Hacienda La Lomita, Cocina de Dona Esthela, and Cava Sagrada. Follow this road up and down two hills. At the bottom of the second hill, the road stops. You'll see a big red house with a rounded facade. Turn left. After about 500 feet, at Cocina Dona Esthela, turn right. After another 500 feet, the road turns right, up towards the back of the big red house. Take your first left and go down the hill. In a minute you'll see our Airstreams off to the left. Continue to go straight, until the road stops. Go left and follow the road. The road will turn right and then stop.     The SpaceThis beautiful ocean front condo, is actually a giant suite for travellers. It boasts a beautiful dining/living area in front of the Todos Santos Bay. A master suite, with it's private sitting area, and adjoining to a balcony, make it the perfect retreat after a day of fishing, visiting the local wineries. The other bedroom has it's own bathroom. The only thing missing here is a kitchen. This condo has been saved for the travelers who do not wish or need a kitchen because they are in Baja to enjoy the amazing food there is! The building is extremely safe and private. You can enjoy the garden, which has a gate to walk down to the beach/tide pool,, play structure and trampoline for the kids to enjoy safely, because it is gated. Fully furbished one king size bed in Masster suite,; second bedroom with Queen Size bed and twin bed. Comfortably sleeps 5 Cable TV, WiFi. private parking. Enjoy the building's garden, Walk right down to the beach and tide pools. Walking distance to Ensenada downtown, 25 minutes... or a 2 minute drive. Ensenada has great weather year round, with mild warm summers, and mild winters. When you're in Ensenada, visit the wineries at the Valle de San Antonio and Valle de Guadalupe, only 25 min drive, and well worth the trip! Ensenada has a yearly famous wine festival. Each winery hosts a variety of events, concerts and food/wine festivals that no visitor should miss. Our place is unique because it has not only the view, but the sounds and feel of the ocean. No cars running by since this is a low traffic community with access through one single street. As an upscale suburban style community you will find dogs in the neighborhood that you won't see strolling around but may hear sometimes. Convenient supermarket 5 minutes away. Getting AroundThe apartment is a beauty in prime condition located on the northwest end of Ensenada. Walking distance from the Quintas Papagayo beach (11 minutes), where you can enjoy sea lions and dolphin watching. Finding this beach is not a very intuitive task, I recommend that you ask Dora how to get there. Located 15 minutes driving distance from Playa Hermosa (Ensenada's Sandy Beach). Casa Dora is about 2 miles (7 minutes by car) from the Hussong's cantina which can be the heart of downtown. Convenient location if you are looking forward to spend some time in the boasting Valle de Guadalupe Wine region which is 25 minutes North West of Casa Dora (Highly recommended for wine lovers). Very convenient access to Mexico's Coastal Highway 1, which is the continuation of California Highway 1 south of the border. Other Things to NoteLocated in a cul de sac in an upscale safe neighborhood. The house has a gated entrance, which you will be provided keys for. Street parking is convenient and always available.

A caretaker couple lives in the same walled compound for any needed assistance. When the owner is in residence he lives in the completely independent apartment above the main house.     The SpaceStay in a beautiful 3-bed house within a short drive to the beach. It includes a 2-car garage, kitchen, dining room, living room with a fireplace, 2.5 bathrooms, balcony, and terrace. Come and stay in a house that combines the beauty of rustic local natural materials with an ambiance and a touch of Europe. The neighborhood is safe and peaceful. The town of Chapultepec offers shops, restaurants, markets, and Estero Beach resort is very near. It's home to one of the best taco stands in Ensenada. They make their tacos with steak right off the grill and hand-made corn tortillas cooked on the spot. Costco, Walmart, and Home Depot are only a short drive away. Downtown Ensenada is within a 20 minute drive. Please keep in mind that this is Mexico so my neighborhood has many unpaved roads and a mixture of homes. My house is located in a part of town where a number of Americans have retired and where local people live too. Some of the homes are nice and some of the homes are not so nice. There are plenty of empty lots too. I'm not trying to discourage anybody, I just simply want you to know what to expect. I live in Germany and every two years, I get to come home with my wife and kids and we all love it. Gugle :) map is off by about a block and a half north of where my house is located. It is actually closer to the corner of Ballenas and Ninfas. Please expect the house to be very clean. The photos from the bedrooms were taken by a previous guest during her stay and include some of her belongings. I added the photos because that's all I have right now. You can either enter through the front door or through the garage. The NeighborhoodI love my morning jogs on the beach. Unfortunately the nearest access to the beach has been closed and now there is a need to drive to it. I like to drive to Calle Westman and park next to a white condominium complex. The paved road leads almost all the way to the beach and there is plenty of parking in front of the condos. They have security cameras and guards at the condos so I'm very comfortable leaving my car there. Once I get to the beach, I literally have miles of beach right or left. This is my far away access and it's about two blocks away from Home Depot. There is another option which is much closer but you have to pay for parking. You can drive to El Nueva Espana and park in their facilities. It's only about a mile and half from the house. There are a couple of options to get there. From the house drive back to the paved road, Morelos, make a right and drive on the road until you reach the one way street, 22 Norte, and you have to drive to the right. Drive one block and make a left. At the end of the road, you will reach the Nueva Espana. The second option is on unpaved roads so I will skip it. Other Things to NotePlease don't drink the tap water. You will need to buy your own drinking water. You can find drinking water in every market. I have a 5-gallon plastic container that you can use.       Stay in a beautiful 3-bed house within a short drive to the beach. It includes a 2-car garage, kitchen, dining room, living room with a fireplace, 2.5 bathrooms, balcony, and terrace. Come and stay in a house that combines the beauty of rustic natural materials with an elegant ambience and a touch of Europe. The neighborhood is safe and peaceful. The town of Chapultepec offers shops, restaurants, markets, and Estero Beach resort is very near. It's home to one of the best taco stands in Ensenada. They make their tacos with steak right off the grill and hand-made corn tortillas cook on the spot. Costco, Walmart, and Home Depot are only a short drive away. Downtown Ensenada is within a 15 minute drive. Please keep in mind that this is Mexico so my neighborhood has many unpaved roads and a mixture of homes. My house is located in a part of town where a number of Americans have retired and where local people live too. Some of the homes are nice and some of the homes are not so nice. I'm not trying to discourage anybody, I just simply want you to know what to expect. I live in Germany and every two years, I get to come home with my wife and kids and we all love it. Don't worry about the unpaved roads, you don't need a truck to drive on them! Gugle :) map is off by about a block and a half north of where my house is located. It is actually closer to the corner of Ballenas and Ninfas.

Getting AroundThe house has a private gated parking garage, it is a little steep on one side, which might be a little difficult for smaller cars. But the neighborhood is really safe and you can leave it parked outside too. Other Things to NoteThere is a severe drought in the whole area, for which the water department has water outages. The house is prepared with a full water storage tank to last several days. We highly advocate and recommend water saving measures: shorter showers, no running water while washing dishes, brushing teeth or washing hands.

He can guide you through a bunch of adventures (see below). At the posada you'll meet chickens, dogs, and many cats! The NeighborhoodBahia de Los Angeles is a paradise, 420 miles from San Diego. Less than 1000 people live there, most of them off the grid. There is no ATM in town. There's a couple gas stations, three markets, a few hotels and restaurants and taco stands. Seafood is delicious. Veggies are available in the markets, as most essentials. (search for 'bahia de los angeles' and have a look at the image results...) Getting AroundYou will need your own vehicle. Or your legs. If you come by bus, it will stop in Punta Prieta; Mauro can come pick you up there (after agreeing on day and time). The posada is just outside of town, and it is part of the ejido 'Tierra y Libertad' ('Land and Freedom'). Other Things to NoteBoat tour to the islands, visit to missions and mines, geology, botanics, anthropology, nature photography. Fishing boats. Incredible sea life all over the bay. No cars running by since this is a low traffic community with access through one single street. As an upscale suburban style community you will find dogs in the neighborhood that you won't see strolling around but may hear sometimes. Convenient supermarket 5 minutes away. Getting AroundThe apartment is a beauty in prime condition located on the northwest end of Ensenada. Walking distance from the Quintas Papagayo beach (11 minutes), where you can enjoy sea lions and dolphin watching. Finding this beach is not a very intuitive task, I recommend that you ask Dora how to get there. Located 15 minutes driving distance from Playa Hermosa (Ensenada's Sandy Beach). Casa Julia is about 2 miles (7 minutes by car) from the Hussong's cantina which can be the heart of downtown. Convenient location if you are looking forward to spend some time in the boasting Valle de Guadalupe Wine region which is 25 minutes North West of Casa Julia (Highly recommended for wine lovers).
