The SpaceThe house is a really beautiful one quite spacious and with nice light. It's located in a beautiful land where my landlord lives as well. Very calm and quiet respectful people. You pretty much won't notice their presence. It has two rooms and a full bathroom. Hot water, internet, a beautiful kitchen, a fridge and a garden to enjoy yourself on nice hot days. You are about 10 minutes walking from there to Toledo's CASA (Centro de Artes de San Agustín), a beautiful arts center which was rebuilt from an old looms factory back in the day. The room is still coming up to place. I have a quite comfy inflatable mattress and linens with blankets as well. You are about 30 minutes from Oaxaca City. It is more for people who like nature and the mountain after hanging out in the day at the City. It's a quiet calm space with fresh air and mountain treks all over the place. So, if you like nature and calm spaces, this is the right place for you. Guest AccessYou can pretty much access the whole house, but my room which has no special or particular amenities anyways. I just got here a month ago, so there's still plenty of space to fill, but I am doing my best to do so as much as I can with patience and calm. Just embracing what I receive in the moment and then going on from there. Of course you can use the bathroom, kitchen and common areas anytime. My only request is that you clean up after using any utensils from the kitchen and to be respectful with the space you are given to rest. Interaction with GuestsI am available in the afternoon from 12 pm to 5 pm due to my work, which is at a bar in the City called La Mezcalerita. I work there from 6 pm to 3 am in the morning. So one thing you will have to get used to is that I normally come back from work at around 4 or 5 am, depending on the day of the week. Other than that I am totally open to share and learn from anybody who is willing to do so. I always love to respect people's privacy as I like mine to be respected as well. So, I will definitely get it if you want to be on your own without any kind of interaction. As long as you respect the place that's good for me. Specially my dog, which is an amazing company. The NeighborhoodWell, the neighborhood is quite calm in general. Neighbors are pretty chill and maybe you will be listening a little bit to their music at some point, but other than that the house is quite safe, because it is inside my landlord's terrain, so it's totally locked and safe to be hanging out no problem. There are really nice places to eat around, not fancy, but with very good and tasty food. Juice place a couple of minutes as well and CASA, which is the Arts Center built by Francisco Toledo. Getting AroundSo, to come to town you have to consider a few things. First of all there are no buses coming up here. Only collective taxis which come from Oaxaca City from very early in the morning till 9:30 PM which is the last one that leaves from there. The service costs around $15 MX to $10 MX and it is collective, so it means you have to share the cab with other people. There are also private taxi services, but this ones might cost from $150 MX to $250 MX, depending on the time you are trying to get here. To go to the City from here, taxis start leaving at around 6:30 am, so that's way more easier to get one. And to take the cab you just have to walk a little, around 5 minutes up to the town's church and that's where you will be taking it. Other Things to NoteWell, other than what I have mentioned is that my dog Lobo has to stay at least for now inside the house whenever you decide to go out anywhere you go. My landlord has 5 other dogs who have already attacked him and hurt him really bad, so I will definitely be asking you to take care of that particular detail. So please, Lobo stays inside the house every time you decide to go out.
