If you want to experience the Mayan jungle this is the place for you.
Thanks for your interest in staying at my solar-powered Suite in the Mayan Riviera. I look forward to sharing my retreat with guests from the world.
This house is an experience of relaxation and adventure. The Chi'ik JungleSuite is an ecological cabin immersed in the jungle built to high specifications of respect for the environment. It was finished in summer 2010.
Powered by solar panels and equipped with septic tank, it is harmoniously inserted in its surroundings. It was made having in mind the least long term environmental impact. The JungleSuite was built on stilts so it wouldn’t obstruct the natural filtration of water, and not a single tree was brought down for its construction.
It has 1 bedroom with two closets, a desk and a double bed, 1 bathroom with toilet, sink and walk in shower. A living area w/ a sofa-bed for two, kitchen with all the basics: refrigerator, stove, pans, coffee maker and tea kettle. A deck with an outdoor dining area and a roof terrace from where to admire the forest that surrounds the place.
Bed linen, blankets, towels and soap are provided. There is no TV and no internet connection.
Ideal for individuals, couples or small families that like to be in touch with nature or seek quiet and tranquility. If you want privacy the Chi'ik JungleSuite is the house for you.
This is the best: Located at a 20 minute drive to the beach of Puerto Morelos, one of the most beautiful beaches in the Riviera that hosts one of the largest coral reefs in the world. Away from the crowded usual tourist locations.
Unless there are guests arriving/departing the same day check-in and check-out times can be flexible.
Massages and temazcal available.
The Chi'ík JungleSuite is located in the Ruta de los Cenotes, an area halfway between Cancún and Playa del Carmen that is still virgin where you can enjoy all the beauty and tranquility of the jungle in the Mayan Riviera
It is located at drive-distance from high-end destinations (Cancún, Playa del Carmen), archaeological areas (Chichén Itzá, Tulum, Cobá, Ec-Balam) and the beautiful island of Holbox. The JungleSuite is a 20 min. drive to Puerto Morelos, a tranquil beach and fishers' town that, in addition to being away from the crowd and offering a number of delicious dining spots, hosts one of the largest coral reefs in the world, a protected area where you can freely enjoy snorkeling and diving. Also, at a stones-throw are a couple of parks to enjoy adventure tours and activities (Selvatica and Boca del Puma), as well as having direct contact with wild species of the Yucatán Península (Crococún). And of course, right next door are the Cenotes (sinkholes), natural water holes only found in the Yucatán Península, some of them still virgin but others already open for the general public to visit and enjoy their cristalline waters and amazing underground beauty, as well as offering interesting spots for scuba divers. While staying at the JungleSuite you can also enjoy the pool, temazcal (traditional sauna), bikes and ping-pong table of the new ecological development where it is located.
Although public transportation runs regularly on the Ruta de los Cenotes, it is not frequent, so to enjoy everything The Chi'ík SolarSuite has to offer and making the most out of your stay, we strongly suggest renting or bringing a car. A parking spot is provided at no extra cost.
