The SpaceEnter your exact dates to see the correct rate. Let the sounds of the surf lull you to sleep at night in this new simply stylish and relaxing one room studio apartment. Located in a quiet and secure community of small homes and condos a half a mile from the apartment to the water, it takes most folks five to ten minutes to walk to the beach or like two minutes to drive (nice if you want to carry a bunch of stuff). Todos Santos is less than 10 miles away or a 15 minute drive and Pescadero is right next door so it will take you about 5 mins by car to reach Baja Beans or the Pemex/Oxxo. Enjoy the communal pool, jacuzzi and seasonal restaurant on site. This newly built cool, bright and airy second story studio apartment has an urban vibe with Mexican touches and is one of the best values in Cerritos! It's the top floor of a 2 story duplex. To see the lower unit check out "Cerritos Desert Garden Surf Escape" here on airbnb. This new studio apartment is the top floor of a 2 story duplex accessed by a SPIRAL STAIRCASE. It is approximately 500 sq ft total, 250 sq ft inside and 250 sq ft outside. Guests really love the outdoor kitchen/dining/hang out area under the palapa with views of the beach and mountains. Groups of 4, families with kids, and folks with long boards often prefer the lower unit bc it's larger, has an outdoor shower and hose, and there is a fence to put your boards behind so you don't have to lug them up the spiral stairs. Ask me about a discounted price if you'd like to rent both apartments. This apartment has PRIVATE HIGH SPEED WiFi internet! Most of the other rentals (and homes) here in the Villas De Cerrritos Beach all share one pretty unreliable and slow communal hotspot with very limited bandwidth that can only be accessed outside by the pool, not in the apartment like mine. Please be aware that when other rentals here in the Villas say they have WiFi they are most likely talking about this one shared outside hotspot. Inside you’ll find- a brand new queen sized bed, brand new love seat (that's a double sized sleep sofa), a coffee table, 2 ceiling fans, a new ac unit, 4 bed pillows, extra blankets, curtains, 2 night stands with reading lamps, a large dresser, dimable in ceiling halogen lights, brand new flat screen TV (only for DVDs), DVD player, private DVD library (more movies to borrow in office), cool art, books, playing cards, and a music player for ipods ( apparently it's made for older ipods, has the metal plate that you place into the bottom of the ipod and unfortunately I don't have a line in there at the moment but if you bring one you can use that), etc. The bathroom has a shower, large vanity, large mirror, a nightlight, lots of hooks and a window with desert views. Outside you'll find a 250 sq ft palapa covered terrace with a small kitchen that includes a small gas range and oven with four burners, mini fridge (with very small freezer), a sink, a cabinet and drawers. It's stocked with pots and pans, dishes, utensils, a french press or coffee maker, salt and pepper, ice trays, etc. It also has a table with 2 chairs, a hammock, a hammock chair and extra seating is provided by a long wrap around built in banquette. Great views of the beach and mountains! Included with your rental are beach/pool towels (in the apartment, not in the office). And I try to provide a cooler, beach umbrella, beach chairs and the use of my charcoal bbq grill (it's kept on ground level) but can't guarantee these things. The spiral staircase leads to the roof where there are amazing 360 views of the beach and mountains. It's the perfect spot for a surf check, sunset and sunrise viewing and star gazing. It's also great for doing yoga. The roof access is shared with the downstairs apartment. Please keep in mind while looking at all the places for rent in the community that each is individually owned and therefore they are not the same. Here's why I think my places are special!- I've expanded and renovated my units and they contain many amenities that the other places probably don't have like- private WiFi in the apartments, enclosed bathrooms, new ac units, curtains, extra pillows, TVs with DVD players, kitchen cabinets, sleep sofas, etc. This bungalow has more spacious grounds than most of the other rentals here. It's in a small house on a small piece of land, whereas the newer units here (called palapas and casitas) are all side by side with no land separating them and are accessed by a narrow pathway enclosed with a tall fence. My place has no neighbors on the backside. Guest AccessAccess to the communal pool and jacuzzi. Pizza Napoli restaurant on site with good and reasonably priced salads, pastas and pizza with a full bar. The restaurant is seasonal and we never know what the dates of closure will be, though it's normally closed for a few weeks sometime during our low season which is August through October FYI. The apartment comes with the use of a charcoal BBQ grill (kept on the first floor under the palapa) , beach chairs, beach umbrella and cooler. Parking provided in our private lot. Both units may access and use the roof. Interaction with GuestsCurrently I am back in the states, so I will not be here for your stay but our wonderful staff will be happy to help you with anything you need. Just go and ask in the reception office, including for check in and out, and local recommendations and questions. I am available by text and email so please let me know if I can help you with anything. The NeighborhoodI suggest you look at the "Baja Western Onion" (online) for their weekly calendar of events (gallery openings, plays, bands, excursions, etc) and specials happening in the area during your trip. Trip Advisor is also useful for the area restaurants etc. Places come and go so I can't guarantee that this info is up to date. There are miles and miles of beautiful pacific coast beaches to explore around Todos Santos, but equally beautiful Cerritos is unusual for several reasons. It's considered safe for swimming, has surfing for all levels, has surfboard, SUP and boogie board rentals and lessons, restaurants, and bars. That being said, this is a small rural area so if you want more options for walking to bars and restaurants and also shopping, then you'd probably be happier staying in the town of Todos Santos. Also, being just south of the tropic of cancer, sub tropical Cerritos enjoys a unique micro climate that makes it much cooler and less humid than Los Cabos or La Paz (typically 5-10 degrees Fahrenheit cooler). This is where folks from those nearby cities (and Todos Santos) come to cool off, relax, swim, surf and have a beach day with their families. The apartment is a only a five to ten minute walk (half a mile or 800 meters) from the beach or a 15 min drive (9 miles) to Todos Santos. You can surf check the waves from the porch or roof and hear the sounds of the surf! Within 15 mins you can also walk to nearby Pescadero beach and two small pretty private beaches that are usually free or almost free of people (only swim at Cerritos though). It's pretty rural here, so if you want to walk to shopping, restaurants and nightlife (but not a swimming beach) then you'd probably be happier staying in the town of Todos Santos. Miguel in the office is happy to help you find more info on local things to do, like fishing, snorkeling, seeing whales and whale sharks, etc. Also, The Journal Del Pacifico (free, all over town) has very useful local maps that show all the restaurants, shops, services etc in the area. Destino Los Cabos magazine (also free and all over town) has great maps of Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo (including Costco, Wall mart, the airport) and also useful phone numbers and information like how to call a US toll free number, where the US and Canadian consulates are, etc. I always leave copies of both of these magazines n the units but if you see that there is a newer version, I would really appreciate it if you'd pick up a copy and leave it in the apartment : ) Bank and ATMs- Todos Santos has the closest ATM and bank. You have your pick of Bancommer or Bannorte. Both have ATMs but I am pretty sure that only banknorte will exchange your dollars for pesos. Note- you can basically pay with dollars anywhere but you will not get a good rate of exchange. So if you have to pay with dollars, use smaller bills so you don't lose as much money. Here's what you might enjoy in Cerritos and Pescadero. Most of these businesses are seasonal. I didn't include much from Todos Santos as that info is much easier to come by on trip advisor and also in the journal del pacifico and on the web. Local Beach Access- When you head to the beach from here, straight ahead on the beach you see a fenced parking lot and gate. If you are walking, walk through the gate and cut across the parking lot to the beach. If you are driving, they either want you to pay, or buy something in their restaurant (Cerritos Beach Club) to park there (they do have the only bathroom on the beach). But, if you look to your right (you're facing the beach), you will see a small road right there at the end of the beach under the rocks. That's public access and you can park there for free. There are some break ins there so be sure to lock your car and just don't leave stuff in sight inside and you should be fine. To access the smaller almost private beaches, go towards the beach and use the road that heads up the hill to the hacienda, but go right at the top (instead of left to the hotel/bar) and follow that north along the coast. Twice you will see a 4wd road that heads down the hill to the beach. If you go past those and down the other side you will be on the beach in Pescadero. Alternatively to walk to the beach in Peacadero, leave my place like you are heading to the beach but take the 1st road to your right (to the left it goes to Free Souls and straight ahead it goes up the hill to the hacienda). Follow that and go left at the T and then you will see the beach right in front of you (and you will pass Baja Zen on the right). If you walk up that beach you will reach the surf break San Pedrito near the end, before the big hills that hit the beach. Beach Services- There are several places on the beach that rent surf, SUP and boogie boards. Coastal Azul Surf Shop is the original Cerritos surf rental business and they now have a shop off the beach, in front of Hotel Olas de Cerritos. Mario Surf School is a reputable place to take lessons, rent equipment, get repairs or sign up for a surfari! Look for their blue shade structure and instructors with blue rash guards on the beach. Todos Santos also has 2 surf shops where you can buy clothes, wax, etc. Convenience Stores- I suggest you stop by Brody's mini mart and pizza restaurant (you pass right by it on the way in) for beer, tortillas, paper towels, ice, sodas, and Mexican souvenirs. They also have great wood oven pizzas and will often deliver to your room!!!! They are great, honest people and very sweet! The OXXO at the Pemex gas station (all over including Pescadero and Todos) is like 711. Everyone shops here, locals and gringos alike. They have a telephone that can call overseas for reasonable rates. Cerritos and Pescadero Restaurants/Bars- In addition to Brody's pizza, I highly recommend Pizza Napoli. It is our seasonal on site restaurant with great pizza and simple Italian food at very reasonable prices. The Free Souls club is a restaurant and bar that just opened nearby (look to your left as you walk to the beach, white building). It has a chic and modern vibe, a mini heated infinity pool (!) and cool music. I've heard the food is great, but I haven't eaten there. There prices are pretty high. The Hacienda is the beautiful orange building on the rocks above the beach. It's a boutique hotel that has a bar that's open to the public with incredible views especially at sunset. Great for whale watching. Also pricey. On the beach, both the Surf Colony and the Beach Club have restaurants and bars and live music on weekend days. For something more upscale, head to Pescadero where folks rave about Carlitos Place and Hierbabuena. My favorite bar is The Little Lebowski Lounge in Pescadero. It usually opens at 6pm, has cool music and no sports on tv! For inexpensive tacos and Mexican food, right before the sign for Baja Beans on the highway in Pescadero going towards Todos on the left is Tacos Emmanuel. They have great fish and shrimp tacos for about 20 pesos each, it's clean, they speak English and I love their condiments/salsa bar too! For breakfast my favorite place is Las Palmas restaurant, in the parking lot of Baja Beans. My picks are the shrimp omelet and the Las Palmas seafood quesadilla. They have WiFi. Coffee- Baja Beans, a 5 min drive away in Pescadero (see their sign on your left as you head towards Todos), has excellent coffee and pastries and a wonderful (seasonal) community market with live music on Sundays. They also have WiFi. Fruits and Veggies- Just past the Pemex in Pesacdero (as you head towards Todos), on the right is Fruiteria Ortiz = outdoor stand under a palapa. They have the best selection and prices on fruits and vegetables in the area. A bit further on the highway towards Todos Santos, on the left, is Agrycole. They also have fruits and vegetables and bread and pastries. They are known for their strawberries in season and often carry fruits and veggies that Ortiz does not carry. In Todos Santos you can go to Lazargas. They have the largest selection around, but tend to be the most expensive. Groceries- El Sol in Todos Santos has staples and gringo stuff like jack cheese and their pries are high. I suggest that folks stop by Wallmart, Soriana or Mega on their way from the airport in San Jose (you'll pass all 3) to buy groceries and supplies. They have a much larger selection and better prices than around here. Que Rico in Todos is a wonderful little shop that has better (and often organic) meats like steak, sausage and bacon, and wonderful locally made/prepared foods like hummus, spanish tortilla, carrot cake, yogurt, asian noodle salad, etc. Yoga- Baja Zen is an awesome yoga studio overlooking the ocean and is an easy 5-10 min walk away in Pescadero. Check out their website for photos and seasonal schedules. Healthcare and Emergencies- Go to the office for advice, help and emergencies. Todos Santos has St Judes Medical Cent(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) and the very inexpensive government health center. Other Local Beaches- Playa Los Cerritos: This is the safest swimming beach (usually) for miles in either direction, it's also the beach with the most development going on.  There are usually lifeguards on duty here.  Playa Los Cerritos has a very nice beach club, with full restaurant and drink service, that makes this the beach of choice for many locals and visitors alike.  You can even get a beach side massage at the beach club.  The beach is good for surfing (beginners to intermediates) with surfboard rentals available with great skim boarding thrown in for good measure.  There is some good fishing here, the rocks at the north end of the beach seem to produce the most fish.  Easy access from highway 19, at the Km. 64 marker. Playa La Pastora:  Playa La Pastora is located about 5 miles north of Todos Santos.  It is a favorite with surfers, as the waves are sometimes good here when no others spots are producing.  When it does get big, this is the place to go for experienced surfers as it can get pretty big and retain its shape.  When that is the case you will likely find that Playa La Pastora will become pretty crowded with surfers.  Novices should not enter the water here, especially alone.  Access is by way of Topete street which turns into Horizonte which turns into the coastal road, going north. Playa La Cachora:   This beach is popular with whale watchers, beachcombers, skim boarders, exercise aficionados and the local turtle conservation group, as it is one of the many nesting places, along the Pacific, for several species of sea turtles.  The surf fishing can be excellent here with the best time being early morning.  No Swimming Please!  Access from town is by way of Topete street (go west) to La Cachora road that also takes you to El Hotelito. Playa La Poza:  One of the more popular and out of the ordinary beaches in Todos Santos, mainly because of the freshwater lagoon.  Playa La Poza is a bird watchers paradise as the lagoon attracts an amazing number of birds.  This beach is good for surf fishing, especially in the early hours of the morning.    In late December through March gray whales, humpback whales (and others) swim along the coastline sometimes very close to the shore.  If the ocean is very calm experienced swimmers can enjoy a refreshing dip in the Pacific.  Not an experienced swimmer, then - No Swimming Please!  Stay out of the lagoon, as it too can be dangerous and it's deeper than you might imagine.  Access from Vidal street in town, then follow the signs to Hotel Posada La Poza. Punta Lobos:  This is the beach where the local fishermen ply their trade.  They launch their pangas, through the waves, early in the morning and spend up to eight hours (or more) fishing on the Pacific.  This is where you can most likely buy fish (the freshest you can possibly get) in the early afternoon.  You may also be able to arrange a fishing trip from Punta Lobos, but you had better brush up on your Spanish, as very few of the fishermen speak any English.  If the whales are present and the fishing is slow, it is possible to get the fishermen to take you whale watching.  This is a great place to take the kids to let them see some locals who are really hard workers and very dedicated fishermen.  There is a colony of Sea Lions that hang out just around the south point.  No swimming please!  Access from Vidal street in town, (head south) or from highway 19 at Km. market 54. Playa Las Palmas - aka - Playa San Pedro:  Playa Las Palmas is a smaller, rather secluded beach, maybe one half mile long, that is usually void of any crowds.  The beach is gated, and the walk in is significant, but easy enough, through a pleasant palm grove.  There are ruins of an old ranch house by the gate.  The beach has a small lagoon that can be a good area for bird watching.  Playa Las Palmas is protected by rocky points at both ends of the beach.  This is a great area to spend a day hiking, swimming (use the middle stretch of the beach), body surfing, skim boarding, and sometimes surfing or just plain relaxing.  Take all necessities (food, drink etc.) as there are no concessions at all.  Driving south, toward Pescadero, there is a small (almost invisible) turnoff at Km. 57 maker - just across the highway from the research station, then follow the dirt road to the gate.  They sometimes close the gate at 6 PM, so be prepared to drive out by 5:30 PM.  Pack your trash out - leave only footprints, please!  Playa San Pedrito:  Located at the north end of Playa Pescadero, this beach is popular with surfers, body boarders and fishermen. The rocky point at the north end of the beach produces some pretty decent waves given the right conditions.  The same rocky area, close to the north point, also produces the best fishing.  There used to be a pretty popular campground here though it's been closed for quite a while, although there are usually some folks camped on the beach here.  There are several beachfront accommodations just a little south of the point.  Access is by way of entrance road just south of the Pescadero Pemex station. Playa Pescadero:  Playa Pescadero is a beautiful long stretch of sand with great waves when the conditions are right.  The beach is named after the small town of Pescadero, which is very close.  The whales come in close to the beach here from December to April and surf fishing can be very good all along this beach.  There is plenty of new development along here including the new high end resort of Rancho Pescadero.  The beach is backed up by many new homes mixed among the chile fields and mango orchards that come very close to touching the Pacific.  Access is by way of several entrance roads near the Pescadero Pemex station. Getting AroundYou really need a car to be comfortable here. Even if you think you can't afford one, I suggest you just look into it. Sometimes of year the price can be as low as $5 a day. You can also contact your credit card co before you book and see if they offer any free insurance coverage. That could possibly save allot because you might decide you can decline the expensive insurance they want to add on at the terminal. But I'd look into it is all I'm saying. And if you do rent a car, check the tires and make sure you have a spare and needed tools to change it. If you are an adventurous and hardy traveler you can make it work without a car. Especially if you buy all your food and supplies in advance, basically plan to stay in Cerritos, and don't mind walking long distances and asking for rides. Of course this is Mexico and machismo reigns, so I wouldn't recommend this for women. The Eco Baja Tours bus from the airport passes by on the highway and goes to Todos Santos. From Todos you can take a taxi or they may let you off the bus closer to Cerritos along the highway, but then you'll have to walk the rest of the way (a mile at least) on the dirt road. There are a couple of taxis in Todos Santos and Pescadero but I've never taken one and I'm not sure how to call them. The taxis in Todos Sanos are located at the bus terminal where the Baja Eco Tours shuttle and other buses arrive and depart and in Pescadero across from the OXXO in front of the little stores. If you take the bus then you will still need to get into town for food and supplies. Cabo and Todos Santos are best for groceries and supplies. Pescadero has a few small markets and of course OXXO (like the Mexican 711). By my place there is one small mini mart like a 5- 10 min walk away. But if you just want to eat out then there a handful of restaurants in Cerritos that you can walk to so you should be ok depending on the season. If you have a car, then I suggest that folks stop by Wallmart, Soriana or Mega on their way from the airport in San Jose (you'll pass all 3 unless you take the new bypass road to Todos) to buy groceries and supplies. They have a much larger selection and better prices than around here. Otherwise in Todos I'd try El Sol. Other Things to NoteBecause of the open sides on the terrace and the stair access, I don't rent this apartment to families with children under about 7 years old as it's just too dangerous for them. My downstairs apartment (also here on airbnb) should work well for you though : ) Dogs and cats live in and run around the complex fyi. You can buy giant bottles of purified drinking water in the office inexpensively (exchange the empty one in the rental) and I have a dispenser/pump to use with it. If you have them carry it for you, tip them 5 or 10 pesos please. ( FYI you can buy them offsite at the aqua purificado places for 10 pesos with exchange of empty bottle). Be sure to let me know if you will be using the sleep sofa so that I can have it made up for you. Be sure to bring warm clothes! Long pants and sweatshirts are often needed in the evenings and mornings. Some times of the year you may also want a spring wetsuit for surfing. Always, use caution in the ocean! Pay attention to the waves and current and what others around are doing, don't get caught in a rip tide. don't swim next to the rocks! Occasionally there are times when it's not safe to enter the water.

If available we have fresh arugula, lettuce and tomatoes in our organic garden and of course in season MANGOS - we can't give them away! What a treat to pick your own mangos for breakfast or to swirl up into a mango margarita. The owners home is 80 meters away so you feel like you are totally alone. Strong WIFI on property. Two outside fireplaces to sit by, lots of shade and oh, did we mention quiet and privacy? We've tried hard to make the casita feel like it's your own piece of paradise for your stay. Our weekly rate is based on staying six nights and getting the seventh free! The area between Mex. HWY 19 and the Pacific Ocean is one of the most fertile agricultural areas in Baja. Made famous by an organic basil grower and of course, mangos. There are fields of basil, chiles, chives. oregano, rosemary, sometimes papayas, sage, tomatos - goes on and on. Typically there is a crop of some kind being grown all year round. A dirt road winds amongst these fields from the HWY to the ocean. The casita is approx. in the middle, off on a private access away from the dirt road so it is amazingly private, quiet and unforgettable. Surf breaks as close as 2.5km. The quaint "Pueblo Magico" of Todos Santos, 7km away. Cabo San Lucas is a half hour drive and La Paz for whale shark watching and authentic Mexico city 45minutes. Therefore, if the other owners aren't there, you may see very few other guests there. Sol Pacifico is located in the small town of El Pescadero, which is 30 minutes north of Cabo San Lucas, and 10 minutes south of the "Pueblo Magico" town of Todos Santos, with its great restaurants and art galleries. Getting AroundYou'll want a rental car, which you can get at the airport in Cabo, La Paz, or in Todos Santos Other Things to NoteThis part of Mexico is very safe. The SpaceEnter your exact dates to see the correct rate. Let the sounds of the surf lull you to sleep at night in this newly expanded and renovated one room studio apartment. This one room first story studio apartment has a relaxing urban vibe with Mexican touches and is the best value in Cerritos! It's the bottom floor of a 2 story duplex. To see the upper unit check out "Sea and Stars Cerritos Surf Retreat" here on airbnb. Ask me about a discounted price if you'd like to rent both apartments. This bottom unit is larger than the upstairs studio with approximately 375 sq feet of interior space and 350 sq feet of covered exterior space between the front and back patios. It also has a small private fenced in yard with a simple garden and access to the roof (via 2 spiral staircases) with incredible views of the beach and mountains, great for a surf check! Groups of 4, families with kids, and folks with long boards often prefer this unit bc it's larger, has an outdoor shower and hose, and there is a fence to put your boards behind so you don't have to lug them up the spiral stairs. This apartment has PRIVATE HIGH SPEED WiFi internet! Most of the other rentals (and homes) here in the Villas De Cerrritos Beach all share one pretty unreliable and slow communal hotspot with very limited bandwidth that can only be accessed outside by the pool, not in the home like mine. Please be aware that when other rentals here in the Villas say they have WiFi they are most likely talking about this one shared outside hotspot. The apartment features a kitchenette with a large refrigerator with freezer, cabinets, drawers, sink, 2 burner gas stove top and a toaster over. It's stocked with pots and pans, dishes, utensils, a coffee maker (possibly a french press) , salt and pepper, ice trays, etc. There is a brand new double bed with 4 pillows, extra blankets, curtains, a love seat (which is a full size sleep sofa) and a table with 2 chairs, a dresser, a nightstand, a bookcase, coffee table and a side table. The apartment also has a brand new flat screen TV (no cable or satellite but has a DVD player with many discs), clock radio with ipod dock, 2 ceiling fans and a brand new ac unit. The bathroom has a large vanity with a built in cabinet and drawers, a sink and mirror, some shelves and a nice shower and lots of wall hooks. A couple of folks have said they find the fridge noisy, so if you are a light sleeper please bring ear plugs. The front porch has 2 comfy chairs and a cafe table with 2 chairs and a small gate (help keep your kids and dogs contained!). Included with your rental are beach/pool towels, cooler, beach umbrella, beach chairs and the use of my charcoal bbq grill (kept on the porch). The back porch has 2 chairs and a small table, and extra seating is provided by a built in banquette. This porch offers more privacy then the front one and looks out onto the desert in the back. It sits next to my small fenced in yard with a simple garden that has a hose and open outdoor shower with hot water. The back porch is shaded in the morning and the front porch is shaded in the afternoon. The 2 spiral staircases lead to the roof where there are amazing 360° views of the beach and mountains! It's the perfect spot for a surf check, sunset and sunrise viewing or star gazing. It's also a great place for doing yoga. Roof access is shared by both units. Included with your rental are beach/pool towels, cooler, beach umbrella, beach chairs and the use of my charcoal bbq grill. I am available by text and email so please let me know if I can help you with anything. out. Miguel in the office is happy to help you find more info on local things to do, like fishing, snorkeling, surfing, seeing whales and whale sharks, etc. Other Things to NoteWell behaved dogs are welcome! Of course you are responsible for cleaning up their messes. Other dogs and cats live in and run around the complex fyi. You can buy giant bottles of purified drinking water in the office inexpensively (exchange the empty one) and I have a dispenser/pump to use with it. If you have them carry it for you, tip them 5 or 10 pesos please. ( FYI you can buy them offsite at an aqua purificado place for 10 pesos with exchange of empty bottle).

The castilla alone rents for $165-250/night, depending on the season. The smaller casita cannot be rented alone. The ambience of our home and property is peaceful and captivating. The subtle lighting at night around the pool and landscaping creates an entrancing effect. Drift off to sleep to the rhythm of the waves and gently awaken to the delight of bird songs. The NeighborhoodWe are on a no-outlet road, which makes for one of the quietest neighborhoods of the San Pedrito Beach area. Our neighbors to the left are a delightful couple that are there from Nov. to Apr. Our neighbor to the right is never there. The field behind our property is left fallow every other year and is otherwise planted with yellow calla lilies. The large lot between our house and the beach is empty. The beach access runs along the right of that lot and is about a 2-min. walk. The beach actually is "just like the postcard". Uncrowded is an understatement. The San Pedrito surf break is at the north end of the beach. We are located about 1/2 along the beach. The beautiful, renowned Baja-Bali-esque resort, Rancho Pescadero, is a 5-min. walk. It has a lovely restaurant and a beautiful yoga studio, accessible to "locals". Other wonderful, farm-to-table restaurants, such as Hierba Buena, are in the neighborhood as well as in the nearby towns of Pescadero and Todos Santos. Todos Santos is an artist and surfer mecca with charming shops, galleries and is the home of the original Hotel California. Much of the area is farmland, with organic basil, strawberries and peppers being grown. Getting AroundThere is a convenient shuttle from the Los Cabos airport to Todos Santos. Otherwise, a vehicle is needed to get around. Other Things to NoteBoth bedrooms have mosquito netting and A/C. The lovely Rancho Pescadero is just a 10-minute walk from the property. Filtered water is available for drinking in the Bungalow. After just one week in the area, we realized how very special this place is, which led us to purchase this unit. Our Bungalow has one full size bed and one twin bed with brand new mattresses and linens. There is a bathroom door installed (many units do not have this). We have recently purchased new kitchen-wares.

Casa Amarilla is one of the few BEACHFRONT homes overlooking the famous surf break at San Pedrito, Baja California Sur. The newly constructed Casa Amarilla offers a complete kitchen, bathroom, living and dining areas, terrazas and spectacular views of the beach, surf, and sunsets! Mexican accented tile adds to the ambiance. Besides enjoying the fun of the beach and surf right outside Casa Amarilla, the views and sounds of the surf generate a sense of place while being seen and heard from the kitchen, dining and living area.. Imagine waking up (or even washing dishes!) to an ocean view! This is Baja! The white sand beach, a leatherback turtle nesting area, extends 3 miles to the south across El Pescadero and is perfect for long walks. Just step outside to begin! When Humpback and Gray whales are migrating offshore, their spouts, flukes and occasional breaching can be seen from the beach and this beach house. This area is one of the few water-rich locales along the desert Baja coast, giving rise to native palm groves and small local Mexican farms growing basil, chilies, herbs and flowers just inland from the beach community. Nearby, the restaurant and bar of the “Rancho Pescadero”, a boutique resort/hotel, are accessible from the beach or road, a short walk (¼ mile) south of Casa Amarilla. The beach house is just a few minutes (less than 2 miles) drive from the tiendas (small grocery stores), taco stands, restaurants, gas station, and a sports bar in the community of El Pescadero. The historic town of Todos Santos, designated as a “Pueblo Magico” is just a 10 minute drive north, and offers a variety of restaurants, great taco stands, tiendas, craft shops, banks, and art galleries, all within walking distance of its church and plaza. Or, load Casa Amarillas beach umbrella, beach chairs, and cooler into your car and head for Los Cerritos Beach, just a 7 minute drive south of Casa Amarilla, a family friendly swimming beach with lifeguards, surfboard rentals, and a beachside restaurant/bar. Of course, all the activities of cruise ship destination Cabo San Lucas are about a half hour's drive south. Memory foam mattress pads. The main house has a large palapa-covered patio for dining with pool in front. It also has a viewing deck for watching sunsets. Property is walled in and gated for privacy and security. We provide boogie boards, surf boards, beach chairs, beach towels, beach umbrellas, coolers. Internet option: Please not that the property is located at the beach in a developing country where internet wiring is not yet available. Therefore, the internet we have is satellite and works with laptop PCs only. It is designed for light usage (checking emails, surfing the net, etc.) and not downloading or streaming. There is cabled internet at Baja Beans and other internet cafes nearby. The pool temps are around 70+ degrees. If you would like it heated to around 82-84, an additional fee would be required. The Neighborhood This property is located near San Pedrito and is a 5 minute walk to the beach. San Pedrito is considered an intermediate to advanced surf break because of its rocky bottom and strong currents. San Pedrito generally favors a right break, especially in the winter when the northwest swells push through and offshore winds blow from the northeast. Oftentimes a bit bigger than Los Cerritos, San Pedrito can handle head high+ swells. October through March often has northwest groundswells over the rocky reef in a series of solid, lined-up rights. Summertime tends to be peakier and sees more A-frames up and down the beach, favoring lefts. The best time to surf San Pedrito is on mid- to low-tides before the morning winds pick up. Recommended board is a short board, booties should be worn for urchins and some locals wear helmets for the rocks. This property is also located near Los Cerritos. Cerritos is a beach break combined with a point break, offering choice waves for beginners and those more experienced. Short boards and longboards are appropriate for this Baja surf break. Winter northwest swells light up the classic point break and the beach break, though mushy at times tends to work year round. The point break delivers and fast and peaky wave. The point can be crowded and competitive but there are usually plenty of inside waves to catch also. When the swell and sandbars are right you'll get tubing lefts on the inside section. Cerritos surf break is very consistent with no frequent lulls between sets. Getting around You will need to rent a car for the area. There are many rental agencies located at the airport. The drive from the airport to the home is about an hour and 15 minutes. Other Things to Note Other services available for additional fee: Private chef, massages, housekeeper, babysitter, mountain bike rental, surf rentals, whale watching, yoga.

There are amazing beaches, art galleries, great restaurants and more. Your trip will be more enjoyable if you take advantage of being mobile. There are US rental car companies at the airport, but you will get better rates if you plan ahead. Check with your credit card company, most of them will take care of collision insurance. If you choose not to rent a car, you can take a taxi to/from the airport. 2. Are there restaurants near by the resort? Yes, just down the steps on the beach is the Cerritos Beach Club, as well as the Cerritos Surf Colony Bar & Grill. The Hacienda Hotel has a Palapa bar on site. Within walking distance of the resort is Miguel´s restaurant and the Tortuga Restaurant. You can also drive into town. El Pescadero is 5 minutes away and Todos Santos is 10 minutes away. Both towns have fantastic restaurants! Definitely try Carlitos restaurant in Pescadero, and Café Santa Fe, Miguels, Tequila Sunrise, and the Hotel California in Todos Santos. Our favorite breakfast spot is The Café Todos Santos. 3. Are there places that rent surf and boogie boards on the beach, wetsuits, etc? Yes, there are 2 surf shops at Cerritos beach that rent surf boards for only 30 dollars a day, as well as some surf wear. Also, there are surf instructors that give private and group lessons. 4. Is the beach safe? Cerritos Beach is the only safe swimming and surfing beach on the Pacific for hundreds of miles. However, like the ocean anywhere, please use caution! Use caution when swimming next to the rock on the North side of the beach. It looks calm but there is a very strong rip tide. 5. Will my cell phone work? AT&T; works very well, Verizon not so well. Please check with your phone company to see if there is anything special you should do before you travel. There may be a Mexican rate plan you can have while you are on your trip. The are also prepay phones you can buy for 30 dollars with minutes included that you can get from any cell phone company here in town which will work very well, also is very cheap to call the US. You can also download Whatapp , Viber, or Skype. The Casita has Wifi so once connected you can make call on Skype if you prepay for Skype credits. 6. Debit or Credit Cards If you coming from out of county it's best to notify your bank and let them know you will be in Mexico. The closest ATM is located at the gas station in El Pescadero. 7. How far is the closest grocery store? There are vegetable stands and grocery stores 5 minutes away in Pescadero and in Todos Santos, 10 minutes away. 8. Good Stuff To Know The Casita has a beach umbrella and two beach chairs for use. If you need more you can stop at Costco on the way in and they have a large assortment of beach gear. You can also use the chairs and umbrella at the Beach Club restaurant on the beach as long as you buy drink / food. There is a 5 gallon water jug at the Casita. If you run out just bring your water jug to the office and for 20 pesos they will give you a new one. Most places only accept cash so it's best to bring cash down with you. They have massages on the beach and they cost around 20 per half hour and 40 per hour. Baja Robert's is located in the Pescadero Valley, a rural farm community 1 hour north of Cabo San Lucas and 1 hour south of La Paz. It's in the middle of a surfing mecca, sitting 2 miles north of the famous Cerritos surf break, 7 miles south of La Pastora surf break, and the San Pedrito surf break is right in our front yard. Southern Baja's art and culture center, Todos Santos, is 6 miles north. There's an abundance of good restaurants and reasonably priced cafes in Pescadero. The setting is casual, old style Baja with bumpy dirt roads along fields lined with mango trees, basil, peppers and organic herbs. The sounds of birds and the natural environment dominate.
