The SpaceMarimba Secret Gardens is located 20 km north of Vilanculos, Mozambique, in a remote bay, amid pristine nature and colourful gardens. We offer a peaceful and recreate atmosphere, where the culture and the beauty of Moçambique go along with your needs as an individual traveller. Marimba is built for you to have a time out, away from everyday stressful business life and outside of noisy and hectic cities. It’s the combination of a clean and unspoilt environment with the simple but luxury way and the passion for details everything is built up with, that make Marimba Secret Gardens a place for you to relax and spoil yourself with the beauty of pure nature, delicious food and drinks as well as several unforgettable activities. Guest AccessOur restaurant offers a fresh mix of African and European dishes that cover breakfast, lunch, dinner and light bites for in between. We only use the freshest products available on the market or right from our own garden. In our veggie garden we grow organically and adapted to seasons. Our fruit plantation is to supply our guests with a great variety of tropical fruits as mangos, pineapples, papaya, cherimoya, grenadine, cashews, citrus fruits and many more.
Seafood, chicken, eggs, vegetables and fruits are all from local producers.
Every day we offer a ‘Dinner of the Day’ which depends on the catch of the day and seasonal products. As we try to buy as local and fresh as possible – usually from our neighbouring fishermen – we offer a variety of fish, squid, crayfish or crab. There is always a vegetarian alternative.
If you wish meat dishes, braai, king prawns or any other specials (e.g. diets, allergies), just let us know. We like and do our best to respond to our guests’ individual wishes! Interaction with GuestsThere is more than just hanging out on a stunningly beautiful and natural beach…
Some activities shouldn’t be missed when staying in Marimba Secret Gardens:
Explore the close by paradise islands and snorkel the famous 2-Miles reef – discover Marimba’s surrounding, unspoilt bush lands and visit the centre of our community by going on a bush walk – or flysurf along our remote bay with perfect kite conditions. The NeighborhoodWith a coastline of about 2500km, Mozambique is best known for its pristine and untouched beaches, some of the world’s best diving and snorkelling spots and, due to its Portuguese colonial past, a charming and fascinating combination of African and Mediterranean vibes.
Neighbouring South Africa and Swaziland in the South, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Malawi in the West and Tanzania in the North, Mozambique provides the perfect combination of bush and beach holidays. Many spots on this country’s map are still an insider tip but the South of Mozambique, not least through its popular neighbouring country South Africa, is easy to travel and explore and offering you a great mix of adventures and laid-back beach days as well as a unique and unforgettable African experience. We are looking forward to hearing from you! Other Things to NoteEvery nation, except for members of the SADC, needs a visa to enter Mozambique. We recommend applying for your visa in the Mozambican embassy/consulate of your country of residence or – if you travel spontaneously – in one of Mozambique’s neighbouring countries, rather than at the border.
Depending on your nationality, you need a reservation confirmation for at least your first lodging in the country so don’t forget to ask the respective place of stay for it.
