The SpaceThe Krabbenhöft & Lampe Building is over 100 years old. It is a national monument but is not financially supported as such.
It is in this extraordinary setting that we provide accommodation which has the atmosphere of a historic house.
There are no lifts, only stairs. Renovation is required in a variety of spaces and is carried out on a continuous basis.
This includes walls, ceilings, wooden floors, plumbing, electrical items etc. etc. etc. nothing is perfect; it's OLD.
Although we try our best to keep everything clean, if the wind blows (as it does a lot in Luderitz) there will be dust, there will be some sand in the windows and all kinds of things blowing through the yards. The roof and building will express its age with a variety of noises.
There is a licensed restaurant on the premises where you can enjoy a drink, fresh oysters, breakfast, lunch and dinner!
While our service providers provide their services (which unfortunately is also never 100% guaranteed), you will certainly be able to enjoy DSTv (movie and sport channels), free WiFi to internet, clean running water, electricity and hot showers.
Thus we provide for the general friendly, fun-loving, no-fuss, no-stress, relaxed people who enjoy taking a trip and enjoy life with all its imperfections. If this is your style : welcome to Krabbenhöft & Lampe! Guest AccessWe have three different sized apartment inside the building, the apartment will be booked according to the size of your group. This whole apartment with bedroom, bathroom, lounge and kitchen/kitchenette will then be your private space!
