The SpaceThe tiny house movement is rapidly gaining momentum all over the world. People have realised that it is not necessary to have hundreds of square metres to live a full life. Tiny houses offer affordable simplified living for those wishing to own their own home - just a wee bit of down sizing required. Tui Glen Tiny House is built on a trailer and, although at just 15m2 in size, it is fully equipped for a comfortable and unique accommodation experience. Gorgeous views, ample decking, and with the shade and protection of a magnificent native Kauri and Rimu, this a great summer retreat. This beautiful space was our full time home until our family expanded! Guest AccessPlease note: Our comfy tiny house bedroom is situated in a cosy loft above the kitchen. Access is via a narrow staircase, and would not be suitable for those with mobility issues. The NeighborhoodThe historic 'Waikino Hotel' is just a 10 minute walk from Tui Glen - offering hearty pub meals and a good selection of beer. Other excellent eateries in the area include the reputable 'Falls Retreat Bistro' and the 'Ohinemuri Winery' in nearby Karangahake. Waikino also has the 'Waikino Station Cafe' with good coffee and yummy home cooked treats. Getting AroundA car is recommended for this area - however being so near to the cycle trail many guests enjoy getting around by bicycle.
